He spent a day doing all the piping, running wires, and installing fixtures. He was pleasant, and I was pleased with the work when he left. I realized he hadn't wired up my security lights to a switch, as I had originally asked for when he came to give an estimate a week earlier, but I had forgotten to raise it again on the day he did the work until everything was done. A week later it rained for a few days, and two of the fixtures (an outlet and a ceiling fan box) filled up with water, and the GFCI blew and could never be reset again. He had drilled mounting holes through all of the weatherproof outlet boxes, and had not used any raintight fittings. He had also tightened the mounting screws on one of the outlet boxes until the entire box cracked and split open (visible only from the back, hidden from view). He also had wired up the ceiling fan without a GFCI, which would render the UL Wet listed fan unsuitable for wet locations. I called him a few weeks later and left a message asking for a return visit, he left an apologetic message for me, and I called and left another message attempting to set up an appointment. He did not return my call. Another month later, I called and left another message asking for a return call about my disappointment, and never heard from him again. I abandoned the work he did and had every inch of it redone. A complete disappointment.
Description of Work: I wanted outdoor wiring laid out on my back porch, with 3 outlets, a ceiling fan, and security lights.

It went excellently - couldn't have asked for someone more qualified and personable. Chuck came out as planned, fixed everything for us - the most difficult was the rear lights not working as they had originally been connected to several junction boxes via wiring that ran under one unit and the driveway to a flower garden area. That area had been totally redone and all the underground water/electrical removed as everyone living here was under the assumption they were no longer needed. Chuck had run new conduit/wires under that garden area avoiding the new water pipes. And once that was done all of those lights worked fine except for one... the interior electrical stuff had been totally removed somehow. So he completely replaced that with a more functional interior and works wonderful now! I can't really say enough about how please we were with him and his capabilities. I'm recommending him to all my friends and we will be contacting him to fix our kitchen ballast as well. Anyway, he was here almost ALL DAY and we assumed the price would be much higher as we added more work for him than we originally told him about. It was quite a shock to have the bill cheaper than expected.
Description of Work: We had several electrical problems around our townhome complex: 1. The rear outside mushroom lights (6) weren't working at all 2. After repairing the rear light problem (see below) one of them still didn't work as the interior had been completely removed from the light. 3. 1 exterior flood light continually goes out and hasn't worked for months. Burns out new bulbs quickly. 4. Needed a motion solar light in the mailbox area 5. 1 exterior mushroom light appeared broken at base - all wobley to the touch
