COTTAGE LANDSCAPING & TREE CRE

The first time it was fabulous, all the blades were upright and it was beautiful. I WAS EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH COTTAGE LANDSCAPING AND WOULD HAVE GIVEN THEM ALL A's! The second time there are many areas where the turf will not stand upright. Today the factory rep from Georgia was here along with the installer. The rep worked quite a while on the approximately 5'x10' area which has a visible rectangular pattern and is the most apparent defect. This improved it some but there is still some pattern apparent and there are many other areas where the turf is lying down. After adding sand infill and brushing it helped some, but many areas remain. The installer is willing to come back in 6 months and add more infill and brush it, and other times after that. Nobody has been willing to do more than that. I was told that this was a superior looking installation and product and that some don't look this good. They are trying to convince me that I should accept it as is. The Southwest Greens, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, Lawn Maintenance Manual states: Routine brushing keeps the surface free from debris, but also keeps your Southwest Greens lawn at its optimum performance. Routine brushing simultaneously achieves 1. Keeps infill layer uniform in its distribution. 2. Ensures that the EXPOSED PART OF THE FIBER IS UNIFORM IN ITS DIRECTION (MINE IS NOT!). AND STAYS ERECT. I would guess that 25% or more of mine is not erect or in the same direction. I believe the product is defective and needs to be replaced. I wish I had kept the first installation even though it had some color variation. WE RESOLVED OUR PROBLEMS.
