Description of Work: Deome 2 (Harley Deome). This is an outstanding company. The owner, Harley Deome loves what he does and and loves his customers. His crews are highly skilled and do an outstanding job. Deome 2 did a great job on our patio cover. Top notch. Deome can be a little slower then promised getting to the job. My opinion is that this a result of his reputation bringing him more work then he can handle at times. But once he get to you, the job is handled promptly and with quality results. I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Unfortunately, we were never able to get to the point of an interview/estimate. We connected once in the fall of 2014 and he had a large job in progress and I said we could wait and I would again contact. It's been a while but the second attempt in the spring fell through also. If I recall, he said he would be down in our area and would contact us but it didn't happen. Nice guy, looks like he does really good work. Just very popular.

Description of Work: Removed a small backyard lawn and installed a Trek deck in it's place. Also replaced a stone staircase, in another part of the yard, with a Trek designed staircase. Recommended lighting on deck and stair risers which is a beautiful touch. We received our quote in May. They could not fit the job in until July. Once the job was started however, it went quickly. The crew was professional and very efficient.

Description of Work: I called them for a bid on a small deck in the backyard, they called the day before they were to come out and canceled. Apparently something came up and the rep could not come that day. No one has ever called to rescheduled. We went with another builder.

Description of Work: Purchased a Big Deal for $50 to get a plans for deck. I'm pretty sure we couldn't get ahold of anyone for about 5-6 months. There were a couple emails with excuses and then ultimately a low level sketch that wasn't anything near plans. Waste of time and money.

Description of Work: Mr. Deome visited our home in the East Bay shortly after we purchased the "Big Deal" at the time which we had agreed-upon. I showed him our deck and spoke with him about what we were thinking. After we spoke for 10 minutes or so, he said that he would take measurements. I excused myself and he appeared to be in our backyard for another 10-15 minutes. He did not seem terribly interested in our deck replacement and we did not hear from him thereafter nor did we receive the "conceptual drawing" which was a part of the "Big Deal."

 + 0 moreThey bid the project the same day it was requested and started one month afterward. The crew of four was always prompt, courteous, and unobtrusive; completing the project in two weeks. They showed up every day at 7:00 am and left before 5:00 pm; cleaning the site each day. Every morning, first thing, one of the owners (two brothers) would get our input. Minor changes were done, one mistake the size of a decorative lathe was promptly corrected without hassle or added cost. The owners were very responsive throughout the process, and would get back to us in less than 24 hours, often within several hours of email or phone message. Four payments were made from start to finish. They had excellent craftsmanship. Being a homeowner for 30 years, I ve worked with a lot of contractors; they were by far the best. We had three prior bids; all were less timely and more expensive. This is the best contractor experience we ve had from start to finish! No hesitation about recommending this company!
Description of Work: Replaced an existing wrap around approximately 700 square feet elevated deck with a TREX deck and replaced a segment of fence and gate, and replaced trellis on one side of deck. The work included tearing down existing structures and carting off debris from such and construction.

In addition, they made helpful suggestions and changes that enhanced the overall appearance and longevity of my new decks. After calling many deck construction companies, Deome Builders is ''head and shoulders'' above the rest! Use some other company at your own risk -- but if you want a job you're absolutely thrilled with -- call Harley at Deome Builders. They are also recommended highly by Berco Lumber, one of Sacramento's best suppliers of decking materials.
Description of Work: Deome Builders removed the top and bottom deck at my home and replaced it with a fabulous Ipai (sp?) wood deck that is absolutely extraordinary. They also built new steps and railings for the front deck.
