Demolished the existing 28 year-old decks. Followed by meticulous construction of two second-story decks with treated wood posts, Trex decking, and cable railing.

Contractor showed up for about five minutes, said he would email and estimate/quote the following day. A week goes by and nothing came from the contractor. Texted him to let him know I’m going with someone else since he did not send an estimate/quote. Contractor never bother to reply back to text either.

The crew was very professional and did marvelous work. The process quoted was fair and reasonable by comparison. They were very detail oriented.

We couldn’t have been more pleased with how the project turned out. Harley and Fred were a pleasure to work with, as were their crew members. We really appreciated their suggestions for lighting and for how to handle a challenging gate situation at the top of our stairs. Would absolutely recommend them.

If you are looking for patio or deck work, stopand don't look no further. Deome 2 Builders and their crew are absolutely best at why they do. From start when Harley came to see our back yard and give us an estimate till the last day. They know their business and best at it. Crew came in every morning on time and very polite. Harley, Fred, Brad and the rest are extremely knowledgeable at what they do. They finished my project in 8 days and I couldn't be more happier. We definitely need more contractors like "Deome 2 Builders" in this world. He was very knowledgeable. He gave practical suggestions about what works and looks nice. He has good taste and an eye for what works. Impeccable taste for deck design and very good judgement. Proportion is everything and they got it.

Worker were on time every morning. Cleaned up every evening before leaving. Took exactly the time I was told it was going to take. Beautiful work, very happy with all the work. There were some spots that painted area needed more paint and they came back promptly to redo.

After obtaining several bids, we selected Deome Builders to replace our balcony deck. They were professional, thorough, reasonably priced, and did quality work. In addition, they were timely in meeting their schedule. The men that actually did the work, Tony and Callan, were friendly and did an excellent job. The city inspector mentioned how professional the final product was also.

They were fabulous, absolutely fabulous, did really good work. They were really good. Compared to all the other bids, their price was right on. Their responsiveness and punctuality was very good.

Great! Harley and Fred Deome were great to work with and our new deck turned out even better than expected. We wanted to do something a little different with the sides so we went with a horizontal pattern using different size and thickness redwood boards topped with a framed in lattice. Harley initially helped us with the design and Fred had some helpful suggestions during the actual implementation. Everything done from plans to permit, demo of the old deck, construction of the new structure, to final inspection went well and the new deck looks great. All work was very professional and nicely finished.

A is not a high enough rating for this company!! If we could have hired them to do all the house work that was needed, it would have gone a lot smoother for us:) We took on a house that was a short sale mess in bad need of repair and restoration to make it livable again. ALL 5 decks were dryrotted and had to be torn out and rebuilt. Working with Harvey and Fred was a delight on every step. We redesigned the 2 story decks which had wonderful views we wanted to capitalized on. They helped us with the access deisgn, getting a spiral staircase put in so we could access the bottom deck from the back yard. They understood what we were trying to do to not block any windows with staircases and spent lots of time with us brainstorming and figuring out what would work. They worked with our budget and didn't try to push us to go higher but respected the money we wanted to spend on this project as we had a lot of projects to do on this house. We had to do the repairs through a 203K loan and they were okay with the wierd way the payouts go, mostly meaning delayed payments to them. Jamie was the forman on the job and was there every day and he and his crew worked hard. I was home all day studying, and would hear them conversing, laughing and working hard but never cusing, which was great. I treated them with deserts and they were very kind to do a neat finishing touch on one of the bottom decks (that wasn't in the plans) as a thank you for the deserts. The project kept moving along and they did the work for what they estimated it for, no add ons in the middle of the project, or surprise fees. They listened and helped us do what we wanted. They didn't try to talk us out of a deck with the view of the water like another contractor did but they worked with us on what we wanted to do. They were such a pleasure to work with from start to finish, I didn't want them to leave, not the same thinking with the other contractor:) Cannot recommend them high enough and they will be the only company we call if we want to build any more decks. We used Trex and did 2 different colors and love the finishing touch. Fred recommended a board on top of the railing and we love that and use it all the time to lean on and enjoy the view. Thank you guys for being a integritous company to work with and doing such a great job. Thank you to all the people who worked on our decks and gave us such an amazing result!!

They were easy to deal with, handled all the permit stuff with the city, did great work, and handled minor issues without any problems. Their price was a bit higher than some, but not the highest quote we received. We would definitely use them again.

Once the plans were approved, the work was completed in less than two weeks. Minor changes and additions were dealt with efficiently without issues. There were no "chance" orders not increases in the original contracted price. Fred and his crew were professional and easy to deal with through the entire job.

Although it was a busy time of the year, they were able to schedule the work and complete it in a timely manner. The price was well within the expected rate.

It looks pretty good and I think they did a fairly good job.

The "bad" news - he TEXT me @7:41 pm on 04-13-15 stating, "'...as a company we decided to hold off on performing fence work...' Once I received the text I responded, "Are you serious right now? That is just wrong & unprofessional But, hey thanks for the very short notice". He did apologized and also text this message, 'Most companies would not have even let you know they would have not shown up'. To me this sounds as if he was doing me a big favor. . I don't see it that way at all - because I made a commitment to be at home for the appointment. I turned down extra work at my job to prepare for our appointment. I also spent hours researching on line before I found Deome 2 Builders...in retrospect It's best that I did not do business with "Harley" because he revealed that there is not much of a commitment on his part. He didn't want his time wasted but, had no problem wasting my time.

In a word - poorly. I've been trying to get all my ducks in a row for years now to build a sorely needed deck on my home, through some major life events. In the begining Harley was very accommodating and came by several times to help me put together a quote and plan. After signing a contract with him and providing a deposit... I heard nothing... for over a week. I became nervous after having written him a check so I sent a text to follow up and figure out scheduling. I wanted to let him know my financing was totally ready to go - this was on a Friday afternoon. The following Wednesday he responded, at about 9 PM. By that time I'd invited another builder out to look at the job. I figured it would be best if I just called Harley to be straightforward with him, explain and ask that he not order materials for my job immediately. All I can say is wow, just wow. Not only was his response plainly rude and unprofessional, it was clear he was trying to say the job was beneath him to begin with. I can only describe it as a haughty little meltdown. In a very raised voice he told me he was no longer interested/willing to do the job. It was a sincerely disappointing encounter and I would warn any prospective customers against dealing with him. I'm walking away feeling like I've dodged a bullet and I look forward to finding a decent respectful person/company to give my work to.

It went very well.. all done in two days time not including delivery of materials on the day before the work. All joints mitred and tight fitted as there were no 90 degree cuts... Cleaned up well and took away all debris... I am an architect and highly recommend these guys.. fast and easy.....

Very good experience. Harley came out to go over job, we found Harley to be very professional and experienced at what his company does. Deck is beautiful and we are going to use this company again for another deck area needed.

Our experience with Deome Builders during the entire course of this project was exceptional. Up front, Harley Deome covered every design and construction detail with us and made sure the final product was going to be exactly what we had in mind. Once the design was completed, he guided our permit through the city staff....no small task since City of Folsom is currently backlogged with many new construction permits. Once Harley's work was done, Fred Deome stepped in with his outstanding crew who made the design a reality. The quality of construction was terrific and there was clearly a commitment to making sure every detail was correct. They were on-time every day, worked their tails off every day and then left the site completely clean every night. We were consulted by the crew throughout the project whenever a question arose about exactly how we wanted the finished product to look. It should be noted that the cost of service shown in this review does not include the french doors or the ceiling fan. We purchased each of these ourselves and provided them to the crew onsite. We were able to use Deome's standing contractor's discount with a local building materials supplier for the Andersen French Door unit.....this was a significant cost savings. We now have a beautiful balcony off of the back of our house that looks like original construction due to how well the trim, architecture and colors are matched. The old balcony was in terrible shape, unsightly compared to the rest of the house and bordering on unsafe due to the condition of the wood. We found the price to be excellent given the exceptional quality of the construction and clear commitment to customer service shown by Harley and Fred Deome as well as all onsite employees. We honestly could not be happier with not only the final product, but how the whole project progressed.
