Description of Work: Replaced a segment of fencing on my slope. They did it in about 10 hours and the outcome was very good. They were working on a steep slope which made it much more difficult. They cleaned up and removed all the old fence as well. I am happy with the job they did.

Description of Work: I called the office and made an appointment for the next day. Sam came on time and gave me the estimate for my gate and my neighbor's gate. He would have to re-install my neighbor's existing gate and weld a latch pin for my gate to close and adjust my gate, as well. The estimate was reasonable, so we arranged for him to come on Saturday that same week and fix both gates. My neighbor and I are very satisfied with his work. We recommend his work and will use him in the future.

Description of Work: My mother needed a new fence and auto gate system. The guys from Tom's came out all the way from Orange Country to Malibu just to have a look at the job in the evening after a long day that started at 4. I knew they had a solid work ethic at that moment. We spec'd the job, two steel small gates and a large auto-open gate frame. They told me a week, and a week later, they were there for the install. They made it look easy and were 30% less than the other five companies I spoke with !!! They provided care instructions and then offered to come back and adjust and tune whenever we might need it, though this has yet to happen. The open frame gates with wood lining are exceptional. I will absolutely have them out again for any and all iron or steel work I ever need done.

Description of Work: I would HIGHLY recommend Tom's Iron Works. When everyone else blew me off because I was honest & told them it was "a small repair job", Tom returned my call on the next business day, came out that day, did the repair on the spot & charged what I consider a VERY reasonable price. He came late in the day (obviously he was sqeezing me in--on a Friday-- after his other jobs that day), arrived on time, spent about 1 1/2 hrs on the repair, cleaned up, was very professional & even went above the "call of duty" when he primed the new pieces that he installed. Now, I would not even have known that he should prime it. I told him that my house was going to be painted starting Monday, so he could have left it to my house painters & I would be none the wiser. Now this is conscientiousness. When I thanked him for doing this "small job" when no one else would, he said "there are no small jobs". I wish him much success. THANKS, TOM!!!

 + 0 moreWe called about 4 fence and wrought iron contractors to find someone to build the pool safety fence for our remodeled pool. Tom's Iron gave us a bid that was about half the price of the other contractors and with a delivery time of a week rather than the typical 2-3 weeks. We also checked into DIY sources, and Tom's Iron was an easy choice. He arrived to do the bid on time and delivered the finished goods on time. To our suprise he also did very high quality work in a professional manner. His bid's included a detailed drawing of what he was going to provide. The fence was pre-fabbed in sections in their shop and spray painted with gloss black enamel. The fence sections were welded together on site and welds painted. Very good quality at an excellent price. The gates were also very attractive and very well done. Tom's Iron is highly recommended by us.
Description of Work: Tom's Iron built a wrought iron pool safety fence that was required to satisfy building codes for the remodeling of our swimming pool. Fence was about 60 ft. long with two gates, and was bolted to the concrete deck. Two sloped sections were required due to the terrain. They did so well on the fence that we asked Tom to provide two side yard gates to replace the rotting wood gates that came with the house.

We had some problems with the first delivery. However, they repaired and fixed it right away. They were very good to work with and were reasonably priced too. They are still doing some of the work as we needed some mason work done.

 + -1 moreI had received three quotes to have a fence and gate put in around my pool to protect my children. Tom's Iron was the best price and I trusted Allen from the beginning. I initially hired them to put in the fence and two gates around my pool but after seeing their work I hired them immediately to put a small fence and gate on my patio above. Allen spent time with me as I chose the fence and gate I wanted as well as the color. He and the crew were very nice and very helpful in addressing asthetical concerns I had. I am very happy with thier work and would hire/recommend them in the future.
