Stoneshine Restoration Marble & Concrete Polishing

It’s a shame to have to write a poor review on a company but its important to share the experience. We had Stoneshine remove some tile, grind, polish and stain our concrete floor. The work was decent. My challenge is in other aspects of the project. Starting out they called me and asked that I give them a $500 non-refundable deposit before they would send me a copy of the contract to execute. This is just flat our wrong. I was able to get a copy sent prior to paying a deposit but it required some back and forth with the company. Once I told them I was ok with the contract I had to repeatedly contact them to get a version to execute. I had to let them know that I would not let them start the job unless we had a fully executed contract. I also requested an unconditional lien release within 48hours of final payment. If you don’t know what that is search on-line about mechanics liens. You could pay your contractor and still me accountable if they don’t pay their employees. Protect yourself and your home. Don’t pay twice. Jazmin agreed to this and said it was part of the process. To date it has been a week since the job was finished and I can’t get her to respond or honor her commitment. Let’s talk about the job. The final product looks ok. The crew was pleasant and did what they said. The problem I have is that they aren’t very good at cleaning up after themselves. I have found four single edge razor blades in my flower beds, patio, and driveway. I don’t expect everything to be perfect, but I would expect them to take some care when it comes to cleaning up dangerous objects. Overall the experience was okay but I won’t use them for the second phase of my project. There are a ton of concrete contractors so I don’t feel like I should pay thousands of dollars and get an okay result.

This company made my floor look new again. Some cracks were very wide and while they haven't become invisible, the work has resulted in even the worst areas now being all but unnoticeable. The staff was prompt, efficient, extremely courteous. They moved all the furniture in the affected rooms outside, and put everything back in place with great care. I can't praise this company more highly. I will definitely use them again to keep my floors looking great.

This is the second time we've used this company. They provide top quality in everything they do. All work was performed by a crew of two within the timeframe they originally issued. We are very satisfied with the work they did, and in a few years when the same type of service is again required, they'll be welcomed back to bid the job again!

Stoneshine Restoration were punctual and did a wonderful job in protecting and covering everything up. Our marble floors have never looked so good. They went through all the flooring and filled in all the missing grout as well as. They also were nice enough to provide information on how to keep my floors shiny.

Juan Carlos arrived right on time to give me an estimate. He was very knowledgeable, polite and professional. I was pleased with the estimate and scheduled for the work to be done the next week. Rafael and Ben arrived punctually as well, protected all areas, and cleaned up perfectly after doing a very fine job. They too, were knowledgeable, polite and professional and were terrific to work with. I will request them the next time I have work done by Stoneshine.

The job went smoothly. The work area was well protected and cleaned afterword. The quality of the work was EXCELLENT. When it comes to working with natural stone, artistry is extremely important, it's not just technical skill. Be sure to ask for Jaime. He is a master at his craft! If we didn't tell you where the breaks were you wouldn't know. Simply amazing what he was able to do.

The estimate was three times as much as the two other estimates I received for the same service. They try to make you believe that they are providing more than the other companies. This was not true! Do yourself a favor and get other estimates from other highly rated companies on Angie's List before hiring this company. There prices are so outrageous that they should be removed from Angie's List. Other reviewers have also noted this.

they were on time, very clean (although I had to ask for them to clean up the wood floors). However, I asked to remove water stains on our terracotta floors and the sales rep thought we would see a big difference and unfortunately, we did not. In fact, there are now brush strokes on our tiles and they are slick due to the sealant. The technicians told me this was the very best that they could do, and I believed them, but I was hoping for much better results.

Very detail oriented. Three guys did the job from 11 am to 6pm and it was done very well. This company really takes pride in their work so we are repeat customers!

The first time they showed up they didn't perform the service because their black granite specialist wasn't available. This was a little upsetting and rescheduling wasn't very easy. However, once their specialist came back, he did a great job in buffing out the scratch.

Every person I worked with was wonderful and the job they did was fantastic. The floors look new, they took care to protect the cabinets and baseboards and gave me lots of good tips on keeping all my stone surfaces looking good. The estimator, the woman at the office and the two man crew who did the work were all very nice, professional and got things done beautifully! The cost was less than a company I had used before whose work was basically useless - the floors looked just as dirty when they were done. Sureshine left my home looking new and me looking forward to using them regularly to keep it looking this way!

rouhgThe process of making an appointment was very efficient and flawless. An estimator came out within in few days and was very honest about what they could and could not do in terms of repairs. They called to reconfirm a few days before the work appointment and Isidro was there 15 minutes early. He was very meticulous about laying down floor protections and was very conscientious about his work. I literally saw him go over an area with the buffer/polisher, get down on his hands an knees and inspect it and then go over spots by hand. We have had this service done before and Isidro was by far more thorough. The flooring shined when he was finished. He was also very careful cleaning up. You could tell he wanted the place to look them same as when he entered. When I told him what a good job he had done he replied very sincerely,"Well this isn't cheap. We want you to get what you paid for." StoneShine can consider themselves lucky to have Isidro representing their company. I would recommend them without reservation.

.It went horribly. The technicians were to seal all my stone counter tops and shower. They polished everything and scratched the marble and the fixtures in the shower. They removed all the grout in the shower when they were only supposed to repair one area. They did not dry the shower before regrouting and nothing dried. It took me 2 weeks to get them back out here and the new technician had to redo all the work done by his colleagues. It then took weeks to dry and we could not use our shower for weeks. The were supposed to clean the grout on my kitchen floor and they did a terrible job,..no improvement. They did however remove some of the grout while trying to clean and did not even replace it until I said something to them. The experience was painful and disastrous. Watch out for their sales people...they talk a good game and do not deliver at all. My granite, grout and marble are in worst condition than they were before they started. The grout in the shower has loosened and fallen out already. I will never let them in my house again.

They were okay. The pricing was reasonable and we're satisfied with them.

My overall experience with them was very good. They were very professional. They came in and did their work, and I think they did a great job. I recommended them to somebody else. Their pricing was a little high.

They came out, did an inspection and quoted the job. After the appointment was made, they showed up on time and the crew was very polite and maintained a clean work area. The end result was acceptable. The finish wasn't exactly like the photos the salesman shared with us, but was acceptable.

Roger came out to fix our cracked granite counter....was pleasant, courteous, professional and did the job well....almost can't see the area that was damaged. I would certainly consider calling them again.

The estimator was on time for the appt and very knowledgeable. The estimate was very competive and we decided to go with them based on price and their experience. The job took 2 days to complete - just as they estimated. The floors turned out beautiful and we decided to add on the cleaning and grouting of the kitchen countertops to the job. They turned out great as well. The guys who came out were very professional.

Off base and inaccurate. Nice to speak with, but no possible way to provide accurate service without coming to home to look at the problem.
