Stanley Pest Control - Anaheim Office

It took 4 attempts to schedule. The one done on the internet to set up a date didn't work at all. Then the first phone appointment was missed and the second had to be rescheduled through no fault of the serviceman who had a death in the family. When he actually came everything went well and he was very nice and helpful. We had some unique problems because my mom (at whose home the service was performed) has dementia and so the service had to be done within the 4 fours the nurse is present at her home. This would not me an issue for most others and it was the scheduling that was the only problem with the service.

I bought a deal from Stanley Pest Control for $150.00 for Rodent Trapping Program on October 28, 2015. One of the items was all rodent traps will be inspected a minimum of once per week within the 30 days guarantee period. The field representative came the first time, put a total of 6 traps in the garage. The week after, he came to replace one of the traps because rats ate the bails but the trap did not work. Since then, he has not come back.

It's $90 a quarter. I continue to see some of the pests that they treated for after they left. I talked to the man today and he explained about it. I would say they do a good job. I signed a contract with them.

It worked really well. We had quite a spider problem with cobwebs everywhere. The product they used really eliminated the problem. The termite inspection was thorough and so was the report.

He's slow to schedule and I'm not clear on his program or if he's coming back.

Exclusion work included placement of wire screens at approximately 6 locations where entry points were determined to be by Stanley PC. I wasn't there to see the installation but upon reviewing the completed work I was not impressed at all. Wire screens were stapled on poorly, some were not secured at all but merely stuffed into an opening. Some screens were even stapled onto deteriorating structures without any suggestion for repair prior to placement of wire screens. For the $240 I paid, i would say that I bought about $2 in wire screening and $238 in poor workmanship. I have since seen mice in my home and although I still have a 1 year warranty, I will probably not follow up with Stanley for further work.

The following day, ants invaded my kitchen again, but this time formed a thick line from the window all along the top of the cabinets and around the refrigerator. They were drawn to some dog food which had been left exposed for only 2 hours. The rest of the kitchen was spotless. I called Stanley immediately, and they sent out the serviceman from the day before. He said that he was very busy but would spray the kitchen with his "poison." I told him I needed to move some perishable items from the counter top, the bread box, cookie jar, cook books, etc., and he said he would give me 5 minutes to move everything while he went to his truck to mix up the insecticide. After he sprayed the entire area, ants were dead and exposed. He told me that I would have to clean them up. Since they were in a high area, I said that I would have trouble doing that. [I am a 5' 1' senior female.] I left for a few minutes, and he had cleaned up the dead ants. I followed up with a soap and water sponging of the area. The ants have not returned. I found this experience to be stressful. It was disconcerting that the ant problem was worse after treatment the day before. Also, I'm nervous about toxic substances in my kitchen. I felt pressured by the serviceman because he had other calls to make that day.

Tony came to do an estimate for treating termites that had eaten into a small part of the siding near the roof. i had previously received an estimate from Terminix that I would need to tent the entire house and it would cost in the thousands. I was suspicious and hence contacted stanley pest control for a second opinion. Tony was incredibly professional, honest, and helpful. He explained that i did not need tenting and that the problem could be treated simply by inserting the poison directly into the affected wood. While inspecting for termites he noticed a lot of leaves gathered on my roof that were retaining water and starting to cause wood rot. Not only did he take the care/time to notice this problem and tell me about it; he offered to clear the leaves for free! He came back the very next day and did the job. Perfect experience. Trustworthy, professional, nice.

Fast and good service for the dollars.

The gentleman that performed the service was very careful to check all areas of concern. I was surprised that he used a brush on an extension pole to "knock down" spider webs and other debris. He then sprayed the entire area thoroughly.

It all went well, The young man doing the work was very nice. He explained the yearly service to me and I signed up for that and hope after a couple of times the critters will be gone. I stayed home with my cat and dog and we stayed on the front porch while he did everything. After he left we went into the garage while waiting for all fumes to subside. It didn't take long as it was a very hot day and he left everything open for me. I hope to be seeing him again very soon.

Downsized to another house and prior to moving day house was invaded with ants. Hard to get any pest control out there quickly, however, Stanley Pest Control scheduled me right away. Technician, Chad, was very knowledgeable and thorough. Explained what services he was going to perform & what chemicals were being used. I used an Angie's List special, so price was a good value. Appreciate their being so prompt and the special price through the list!

The process went fast and smooth, but the result was hardly noticeable. We continue to have spiders and crickets problems as if the house was never services!

Good service however did not get the rats in the attic. Only had the service for a month. Our cat ended up getting the rats.

No problem with the service. Making an appointment was easy and they were able to come out right away during a time I wanted.

Received a reply from the Anaheim office via email asking me to contact their office by phone or purchase a $89 coupon through Angie's list. The message also requested to respond within 3 business days. I did. Glad I didn't purchase the coupon, as when I called their office, they put me on hold for a while, then told me that I didn't need to do anything, someone would call back. Today it is 3 business days later and I still haven't heard anything. If a company can't work with the online scheduling feature that Angie's list offers, then don't make it available. I ended up calling Surf City Termite and Pest Control and got an appointment straight away over the phone.

I had two bids that were very close price-wise. However Stanley had termite damage repair service that other company did not offer. I had noticed termite frass (poop) in the garage and knew I needed fumigation. Stanley has a specific rep, Jack Dean, that does termite inspections so there was a short (3 days) wait for our appointment. Jack showed up on time and was very good at answering my questions and explaining process. There are solar panels on the roof and he explained that the fumigators cover them with carpet to protect both the panels and their own tenting material. The fumigators called in the morning and said when they expected to arrive in the afternoon and they were on time. The first thing the foreman told me was that there had been a number of thefts in tented homes in the area. Of course, the house still needed to be tented. The foreman checked all the cupboards to make sure any opened food had been properly doubled bagged and made suggestions of items we should take with us when we vacated the property for the fumigation. His crew had everything done in about an hour (at the most!). They worked well together. We stayed in the neighborhood and frequently checked the property. The fumigators were back at 8 am on tent removal day. The crew quickly went to work and it seemed like they were packed up in a bit over an hour and we could get back into the house, removed the double bagging and restore order to the house again. We were broken into while the fumigation tent was up. The thief sliced through the tent and a window screen, pushed an AC vent out of the way and got in. Since we had followed directions and kept valuables with us, there was no property loss. Jack called us about three hours later to find out how we were doing knowing we had been invaded but we were fine. We were lucky that when the thief didn't find any "cash, jewelry or guns" he didn't get angry and vandalized the house. Suggestion for others: rent an RV and stay on your property, or hire the neighbor's college-age sons to camp in the yard; tell the local police that your house will be tented and they will usually make extra patrols of the neighborhood, and check if they have a fumigation alarm service (they provide a wireless alarm that alerts them if someone is in the house and they respond to the alarm-my town doesn't but the neighboring city does.)

The same night the rat was stuck at the trap by the back sliding door. Problem was that when my son came home late that night, saw the rat but left it there thinking it would be there in the morning. It had escaped leaving stickiness on the floor in several areas. In all we waited another two weeks before we caught the half bald rat in another sticky trap. We then were sent a bill but I called and left a message that we paid though Angie's List. Conclusion: Make sure my husband or myself talks with the service person and only one of us is the main contact person. Perhaps written instructions would have helped. In the end we caught the poor rat :)

Mike, the guy who came out to our house, was great! He caught the rat and disposed of it. He also helped me seal a place where they can potentially gain entrance to the garage and provided good advice about the situation in our backyard to discourage rodents in the future. I am not familiar with the cost for this type of service across various pest control companies but I bought the deal from Angie's List and hopefully got a good deal on the service. Most importantly, Mike was very professional and helpful and produced the desired result!

Went well. Rodents were trapped.

The responded immediately. The came out and sprayed the property. I have not seen any cobwebs until yesterday when I walked through one. That is why I gave them a "B". We'll see.

The ants were still there a few days later and they came back to spray again for no additional cost. They are very polite and courteous! They were pleasant to work with.

The visit went well and I can't get over how the ant problems I was having is totally under control. I do have some termite and dry rot damage and the quote to repair this damage is reasonable. The representatives of this company were professional and competent. Very impressed.
