Southland Home Improvement Inc.

The work crew from Southland Home Inprovement was the sub-contractor for the company who I bought my windows from (Equity Exterior, Inc.). The owner of Southland (Robert Fierro),contacted me to set an appointment for installation immediately after my windows were finished being built at the Anlin Windows factory. I was concerned about rain and he was responsive noting that he constantly updates weather reports and assured me he wouldn't do the install in the rain. Sure enough the newcasters were wrong and the Southland Home Improvement crew arrived about 30 minutes early for my installation appointment on a rain free morning. The crew had approximately 5 or 6 members including the owner. They immediately began removing all of the old windows first, and then placed all the correct windows into their corresponding locations around the house. They even completed the bathroom window demo and install first so it would be finished in the event we needed to use the restroom. Partially into the install, I noted that some of the replacement window borders looked a little bowed at the top & bottom. This was because I purchased very heavy duty tempered glass double hung windows, and the outermost frame is just made of vinyl, so it flexes a bit unless it is screwed down to the frame. Robert was very receptive and had his crew members stop and go back to make each window look correct. This required them to pull a couple of the windows out, make adjustments and re-install them. I was very impressed at the responsiveness to my concerns and the reassurance the crew gave me that it would look good when it was finished. By the time the crew was finished I have to say I was surprised at just how good my new windows look. I expected them to look good because they are very good windows, but the install was done with care as though they were working on a family member's home. When they were finished they made sure to clean up every single tiny piece of garbage and scraps behind them.The fit and finish of the windows looks excellent, and I have written this review because I believe in the contractors commitment to providing good quality service and would definitely recommend them to others out there looking for an actual honest contractor with morals. While they were working on my home I treated them like friends and I absolutely received the same treatment in return.
