Mike, and his assistant did a very good job. They were very thorough and professional and went over everything they did. They also made adjustments to the door, so now it operates with less noise . This is also my first experience with Angie's list.

I purchased an offer from Angi's List for the replacement of the weather stripping on the bottom of my garage door. This is a project I have wanting to have done, as the current weather stripping was missing in some places and didn't create a good seal. I contacted Sam's Garage Door and left a message. They contacted me later the same day. The young lady in the office was very polite and professional, yet friendly. We agreed on a date and time for service. Sam showed up as scheduled and set right to work and completed the replacement in less than one hour. He was very polite, professional, and willing to answer any questions I might have. I will definitely use Sam's Garage Door again when service is needed.

Iinstalled my new opener for $125. Replaced overhead wheel bearings for $165. Removed my old opener without asking. When I asked for it back the next day they said they had thrown it away.

We called Sam out to address a problem in which one of our two garage doors was sticking and making a loud bang when starting to open. We thought that the door was incorrectly installed in the home that we purchased and pulling the door at the wrong angle. Sam examined the doors and said that the problem was actually a simple one - the rubber seals at the side of the door break down to have a sticky surface when hit by hot sun for a long time and grab the door when it sits still for a while in the heat. He told us how to clean and maintain it occasionally ourselves. But, he then pointed out two other problems - 1. both doors did not have the proper spring tension to keep them from falling when released from the motor drive, and 2. the very top of the sticking door had been bent by the extra tension when breaking it free from the sticky rubber. He said that the original installer should have put in a structural brace (strut) at the top of the door where the stress is focused. Sam quoted us $150 to install a strut on the slightly bent door that would also straighten it, but only $200 do do both doors, and he would throw in adjustment of spring tensions, track/wheel lubrication and adjustment of the belt/pull attachment for that amount. We agreed and he also gave us a 5% Angie's List discount. He was a nice guy, honest, efficient and did good work. We will have him back if we ever need another garage door repair.

On job 1 (home install of garage door opener, deal bought on Angie's list): I was asked to put in "several dates" for the install. I really wanted just to talk to them about when to install to fit my schedule, so I put in the date of purchase. A few minutes later I got back an email scheduling that day. I couldn't believe it--and they were on time, neat, clean, quick, and everything worked except for an extra feature that I had not paid for. They came back with the part for the extra feature later. Unbelievably good service and a more than fair price. On job 2 (garage door repair) I had a tenant report that "the garage door opener does not operate." I had been so happy with Sam's the first time I gave them a second job. And again they responded--within the specified time (on the same day), with courteous service. It turned out it was not the opener, but 2 hinges and three rollers on the door itself, which Mike instantly diagnosed. In addition, he told me several things about my opener that I did not know, including its guarantee (which Sam's will honor). I could not be happier. This company has earned my business from now on. For information purposes, I did not know Sam's before my first job, and my only interaction with them has been on these two jobs. Great company.

Mike was very accommodating, took his time, and was very careful. He even replaced the light bulb in the garage door opener without charging me. He was also on time, called when he was on his way, and was very professional, and friendly.

I had emailed a few times to get a general quote. They gave me a good/fair price. When I was ready I scheduled the appointment. I had to reschedule but it was no problem. They came out on time, he was courteous, professional, fast, just perfect. I even had to have mike bring back the old opener for my husband (no clue why) but Mike was kind enough to drop it off. I would recommend SAMs garage door in a heartbeat!!!

Our garage was pretty old, and I was dreading what the results would be once Sam's Garage Doors came out. I placed a message through Angie's List, received a message about 1-2 days after and then they had a nice person contact me letting me know that they would have someone in the area and if they could come see me today for a free inspection. It turns out that my capacitor was to blame. They replaced it and the garage was in working order. The representative went above and beyond and programmed the remote (in my car) into my car's remote-less system. I appreciate service industry going above and beyond. Thank you, it was quick, easy, and although I don't have any pricing information to compare it to, I know the cost of materials is inexpensive, so I am definitely paying for the quick turnaround and labor.

It was not very good. I didn't pay additional for the tune up. When I pointed out some issues, they tried to nickel and dime every little thing. I told them the advertisement said it was a comprehensive thing, and they said the comprehensive meant greasing. They point blank said they couldn't be out there to do everything, they were out there to charge more. They didn't do much for $39.

I called yesterday because my garage spring broke and I was able to schedule a next day appointment to get it fixed. Mike called 30 minutes before to tell me he was going to be here and was right on time. I was originally only going to get the springs and rollers replaced, but Mike mentioned the wires and bearings should be replaced and showed me why. They gave me a great price and overall I am very pleased with the work they completed and the outstanding service!

It was okay. While the guy was there, our garage door stopped working. So what started out to be a preventative weather stripping purchase ended up costing me another $100 or something for repair. I'm not saying that they did do anything, but just the timing of it was very coincidental. I had to haggle on the price for the repair. If it hadn't happened when he was there, I would have called my home warranty. I would have paid $60 deductible and had somebody come out under the home warranty. He was there and the garage door literally wouldn't open. So, I was pretty much forced to have it repaired. He did negotiate the price with me a little bit. But he made me feel a little bit guilty that I was trying to haggle the price.

Sam quickly diagnosed and fixed the issues with my garage door to make it functional for my issues. He went above and beyond my expectations, and was prompt and professional. If I ever have any garage-door related issues, I will certainly reach out to Sam.

The company emailed confirmation within a few minutes. On the next day (the install day) they mailed a confirmation of the appointment, called a half hour before they were to arrive, and arrived exactly at the middle of their scheduled install time (1:30 for a noon to 3:00 window). The installers were courteous, very fast (42 minutes), took the time to explain things, an left the jobsite clean, neat, with a quiet garage door opener. I could not be happier, and will use this company in the future.

Sam's Garage Doors was offering a garage door bottom seal replacement for $79 on an Angie?s List special. The offer did not contain a detailed enough description of the seal they were to supply with the $79 deal, so I called Sam?s to try to get more details but the receptionist that answered the phone wasn?t much help technically. So I didn?t want buy the deal without more details, so they proposed to come out and honor the deal without prepaying. The technician came out and right away stated the manufacturer (Wayne Dalton) of my garage door had gone out of business a few years ago and there wasn?t a replacement for my seal. He proposed a $130 seal that would be stuck on the garage floor. Where?s the $79 deal? He stated that is all he could do for me short of getting a new garage door! Anyway after some research after he left I found out the garage door manufacture (Wayne Dalton) was still in business and you can find replacement garage door seals on the internet on both Amazon and E-Bay for about $25 for my 16? wide door. Very disturbing! Instead of saying they just do not handle Wayne Dalton Doors and try to sell me some more than there $79 deal. The Garage door Technician lying that Wayne Dalton was out of business and that nobody sold a Wayne Dalton Replacement seal. They should be place on some double secret probation or similar!

Originally signed up for a Garage Door Tune-up....after reviewing the condition of the 30 year old door decided to replace it. .My original meeting with Mike was June 6 th,2015, removal of old door was June 22nd at which time was replaced by the new door. The crew performed a tremendous job on installation and clean up and it looks fabulous. I was delighted with everything overall and was happy that I made the decision to replace it.
