Nu Image Windows formally known as Infinity Windows I did multiple bids around the area for windows. The four major bids that I went over was Home Depot, Republic Windows, Design Windows & Doors Inc and Nu Image Windows. Nu Image price wise blew everyone else out of the water by over $2,000. That was a BIG red flag in my book. So I looked into the company. Emailed back and forth with the sales rep with questions. I also knew right away that their website was a bit strange. You could tell NONE of the pictures were of this area. All had wooded areas in the back, and the company is based out of Anaheim. I finally took the leap of faith going with Nu Image mainly due to the money. They claim their windows are lifetime warranty, let?s hope I never have to use it though. I figured this could be the next big window company or could be the next closed down Window Company. I?m a craftsman myself so I knew what to expect with lower paying jobs. Front Office. When we went to the factory/ office to look at their products, the two ladies up front were nice. Our sales rep says he couldn?t be there to meet us because he will be at three job sites that day. (this is day two of the work being down, haven?t seen him yet) When I was told after we put our down deposit in and signed papers, our sales rep told us he would call us that day or early tomorrow with the time frame of getting windows measured. No word at all. In fact the next day around noon I emailed him and the sales rep said just got to the office that someone else will be there by 4:30. That guy was in fact early and did a good job and helped us with his knowledge on what would look better and such with the grids involved. We were then told that in about one week the windows will be ready and they can plan the install. The day we were told that windows could be start installed I wrote the sales rep and asked what was the status, he told me they are completed and office should be giving me a call tomorrow to schedule the install. Two days later and no word. Wrote the sales rep again and asked him what is going on. That day shortly after the office called and told me install was in two days that they want to double check. I told them this is the first I?ve heard of a date. Then quickly after that the sales rep emailed back asking what is wrong that the office said they called. Install Day. We were given a time between 8am and 9am that they would show up. They did show up within that time. However it was two guys I?ve never seen before. The first guy could barley speak any English at all. Second guy could speak a little English. I was thinking someone else would show up, but no it was just those two guys. Two guys that couldn?t even speak enough English to ask me any question. They had to call what they said, ?boss? on the phone to translate what needed to be done, and the window they called about to ask questions about they didn?t even do what was discussed. Must have been a miscommunication, but what can you suspect. That?s how it was the whole install day. No communication at all, only due to reason they were unable to communicate. The sales rep should of known this and sent someone, or himself like he led on, to the job site. After the first install day they got all the windows in, and ?cleaned up? and left. Our bay window we had removed they had to break apart. Glass everywhere, even after they left. We have a new born, cat and dog how are you going to leave glass everywhere? In the drive way they left a mess with even nails and glass I picked up. This is all after they left for the day. With some items we had concern about we tried to contact the sales rep the next morning. No way to get ahold of him. We have called the office, left a voice mail and emailed and so far no answer. In one email he sent me he said for a reason to pick his company, ?The main reason to pick us is, ME? had that in bold! Went on to say ?I am the person you are dealing with and will make sure all goes smoothly.. I tell all my customers if you like the price and product and especially me then there is no other reason to go anywhere else?? While I was writing this, the sales rep called, said he has a medical problem and wont be able to come see the job till next week some time. That part is understandable, but yet still would think he would send someone else to the job site. With the two non English speakers working at the house, doing the trim on the inside and finishing up on the outside, I?m not impressed at all. My guess they haven?t done molding that often, it matches up only in one corner for each window. They filled the holes and attempted to paint them, I can see me already having to sand and paint once this is over. One window was way under measured and basically the only thing supporting the window is foam spray. No wood support or anything. I?ve had to point out many things they have missed. One window they forgot to spray the foam, many areas they forgot to put cocking around. Once they installed the windows the one installer handed me the bill and spoke only in Spanish, but I figured it out what he wanted, but the job wasn?t done. This entire time I was in contact with the sales rep and he was no help, kept telling me to contact someone else for work to get done. In the contract we signed it said to put vent locks on all windows and to install trim and my patio door. The installers had no idea or the office about it. I was pretty fed up about the work that was done and wrote the sales rep that I?ve had enough and I didn?t want there company at my house any more. The next day the installer showed up at my house unannounced. The office called me with him in my drive way. And yet still with no idea about the window locks or patio door trimming, so I sent him away. The manager called me and asked what the problems were I said what needed to be done. We agreed on a day they would come and get the work done and that a manager will be there. The day before the office called to confirm and once again said a manager will be on site. The day came the two installers did the work, once again trim on the inside not matching up. No manager showed up at all. Once the installers left I have not herd from the company at all. No word of the manager on whey he didn?t show or no word from the sales rep. This company had a big problem with communication. It failed many times with the work being done. Now that I look at it I don?t blame the installers at all for the communication problems, it was up to the manager and office to work things out. So as for now I hope these are the best windows and I will never have to get warranty work done on them. I did take one slider out and seen that the corners are open on some of them, undercut on the making. This is on more than one window also. All things I wrote the sales rep about.
Description of Work: had 12 windows replaced, and the old windows sills removed. they will do finish work on the inside new sills and trim.
