New York Carpets

They did a good job and about 6 years ago, they re-carpeted my whole house. I would highly recommend them and I would use them again.

I have used New York Carpets several times over the past several years. First when I had my old house they replaced a lot of carpet over the years and then when moving into my new house they installed bedroom carpet before this experienced. Obviously I keep returning for one reason only. They have very good prices, and do very good work. They were prompt when they were scheduled to start work, removed the old carpet, and then installed the new carpet. The living room/dining room is one large room and there must be several seams to to get it completely covered. There work is so professional that you can't see the seams, which were also done as much as possible on the sides. When they did the measurements, they took time to fit the carpet with maximum coverage and minimal waste, reducing the cost further. When they were done, there was so little waste that I wasn't work saving for anything other than a small piece in the event there is a need to repair the carpet in the future. I would recommend them unequivocally and will use them in the future. They also have some other tile and simulation wood material. I purchased some of that for my former house as well as carpeting, and again the prices were quite good and work installing it was very professional.

I chose an inexpensive carpet for a rental. There were quite a few choices at the warehouse. The salesperson was professional and gave me a good quote. The installers did a great job and cleaned up afterward. I would recommend them to friends.

New York Carpets was great. I have no design sense and Lisa helped me out a great deal. I explained my situation and what I was looking for. I couldn't have narrowed down the choices without her. The installers were on time and very helpful.

The sales experience was 100% positive - our salesperson, Tom, walked us through the process without any pressure (at all), and was very helpful in answering our questions. The measure and install dates were easy to set-up, and each appointment was on-time. The carpet quality was as we expected it to be, since you see/choose the actual roll in their warehouse/building. We did quite a bit of shopping, and their pricing was extremely competitive. The installation was a mostly positive experience. The installers were patient with my requests to run some wires (speakers, etc.) under the carpet, and took some time to help me identify squeaks in the floor. Understandably, they would not fix them for me, but did allow me to hunt for them and fix them myself while they worked. I prepped for their arrival by moving electronics/fragile items out of the way myself, and the installers were careful with the items they had to move. Only two minor complaints: 1) The installers seemed a bit rushed - I would've liked to have had a little more *quiet* time after the carpet was removed to find all of the squeaks. It's hard to hear them while staples are being scraped :) I still have a few nagging squeaks I would've liked to have fixed while the subfloor was exposed. 2) Speaking of staples, I've found at least 2-3 stray carpet-padding staples around the house over the past couple of weeks. I'm not sure how, but they need to be a bit more careful with staples, especially for customers with small children and pets. Overall, a very positive experience -- I'm glad that I chose them, and have recommended them to relatives/friends who are also happy with their experience.

It went very well. They were done quickly and were very clean. They were also polite and professional.

On time, punctual, professional, clean. They will do installations on Saturday, which is kind of a big deal when you are working during the week.

It was a one day, trouble free installation. My floor was not ready when they showed up early, so they helped my contractors to get everything out of the way so that they could get started. They really went above and beyond. Tom the sales guy was very good, low pressure sales, and got me what I needed, for a great price.

I am overall satisfied with New York Carpets.

Don't buy from these second hand vendors. You really get what you pay for, I already have had to have the carpet replaced. So it ended up costing me twice as much as I thought it would, plus the inconvenience of having to replace the carpeting so soon

This was an excellent experience. We went to their warehouse, picked out the carpet and scheduled someone to come out and measure 2 days later. They were running slightly later than anticipated to measure, but called to inform me of the status for arrival. They arrived to install three days later, adjusted the quote downward based on the measurements and were out of the house in under 4 hours. The crew was pleasant, informative, clean and quick.

I had an awful experience with New York Carpets. I think they should just stick to laying carpet, no other flooring material. My estimate was originally $1300 and the final price was $3200. I honestly don't think the guy knew what he was getting himself into. He pressed me on something I did not want to install, just so it would be easier for him to do. He was very unprofessional and I would never go back to this company again. The floors do look better but it was not worth all the grief and expense.

THEY DID A GOOD JOB, AND I'M HAPPY. THEY WERE ALL HELPFUL. THEY WERE ALL COURTEOUS. THEY RETURNED THEIR CALLS.

I BELIEVE THAT THEY CAN HELP OTHER PEOPLE IN THIS COMMUNITY, AND I THINK THEY ARE JUST GREAT PEOPLE AND A GREAT COMPANY TO WORK WITH. WE ACTUALLY SEARCHED FOR OUR CARPETS FOR CERTAIN QUALITY AND DURABILITY AND CERTAIN COLORS AND ALSO A GOOD PRICE. WE DID IT FOUR YEARS AGO WITH THEM, AND THEN WE WENT BACK AND THEY DID ANOTHER EXCELLENT JOB.

HE WAS MY NEIGHBOR AND HE GAVE ME A GOOD DEAL. HE JUST DOES A GOOD JOB. HE USED GOOD CARPET. IT WAS A GOOD PRICE. HE DID IT WHEN I WANTED IT. THE QUALITY OF THE WORK HE DID WAS EXCELLENT.
