Description of Work: This company touted the fact that it was rated number 1 by YELP. I found their service lacking in many areas. My husband and I wanted to completely remodel the kitchen of the home we recently purchased as all the appliances were old and not functioning as they should. The kitchen area is very small, 8x10 ft, and we wanted to maximize the space for storage and new appliances without having to call in structural engineers to enlarge the space as this was going to add considerable cost to the project. We had decided to purchase high end appliances and we needed this company to redesign the cabinets to optimize the space there would be. We explained repeatedly we were new at this and needed their advice and help. They made drawings of their ideas and e-mailed them to us. They did not return to explain the blueprints, which as best we understood them 'looked' ok to us, but we really did not understand some of the subtle changes they had made to the original set-up of the kitchen. So after waiting weeks for the construction and then the installation, we found the space for the kitchen sink was going to be much smaller than the original and thus the new one we had purchased and they did not optimize space as we had asked but instead were going to fill in gaps, which could have been actual cupboard space, with 'trim.' After hearing our complaints as they were installing, they finally agreed to reconstruct the pantry, extending it by the 3 inches they should have made it. Also the installers were not very careful and left many scrapes and dings in the wood.

Description of Work: Refaced 50 year old kitchen cabinets. We picked a natural alder with no stain. Our installer, Jose, was meticulous and professional. The entire process was excellent from our salesman, Andy, to our surveyor, Brady. Each one knew their jobs inside and out and were wonderful to work with. There was only one problem with the set up on our range hood. I reported this on a Friday, and they had someone out by noon Monday to correct. The whole cabinet process was finished in 4 1/2 days rather than weeks of being without a kitchen.
Description of Work: Complete kitchen remodel. Old cabinets, countertops, backsplash, sink and appliances removed. New cabinets and countertops provided and installed. New backsplash, sink and appliances provided by customer installed. Job also included changes to existing partial wall. We initially purchased a design package from them and were extremely happy with that process and deliverables (see separate review from July 2015). The quality of the work was excellent as was the project management. Work was done according to schedule. Workers were always on time and always cleaned up after themselves. If there were any problems, they related to work or services that they could not provide. They do not provide backsplash tiles, but they do provide a strong referral to a tile store who they work and coordinate with. I used their recommended supplier but was not happy with them. The tile supplier failed to advise us of all trim options, delivered the wrong trim and was much more expensive than other suppliers for the same product. We used them only because of their close relationship with Mr. Cabinet Care. I would not use them again. The only other problem related to under cabinet lighting. For some reason, Mr. Cabinet Care does not do strip lighting; they only do puck lighting. They referred us to 3 suppliers/installers, all of which turned out to be more expensive than they had estimated. We ended up spending a lot of time finding someone good and reasonable. Mr. Cabinet Care should handle strip lighting.
The work started at the beginning of October 2012 and it took less than 3 weeks to complete the entire job. The work started by having my marvel bathtub, shower, vinyl floor and marvel wall around shower, and toilet taken out. Marvel bathtub, marvel wall around shower enclosure and marvel countertops in the powder room as well as in the small bathroom were broken into small pieces for easy transport. The first unexpected problem was the discovery of a dry rot problem underneath the shower floor. Since their estimate of additional cost was too high in my opinion, I complained. They were reasonable enough to lower the cost. After the demolition of the shower wall, their tile workers who did the tile work discovered small broken pieces of marvels were stuck in the shower drainage hole, meaning that demolition workers did not properly cover the drainage hole. The disaster was avoided by an attentive tile worker who removed them. After the demolition work was completed, the installation phase, as described above, went smoothly without too much problems and all the accessories such as all faucets, shower heads, toilet paper holders, towel bars and knobs for all drawers were installed. The actual work was completed in less than 3 weeks, but it took longer than that because of waiting time involved in having a shower enclosure completed by a different vendor before I had Mr. Cabinet Care perform the finishing touch. However, once the work was completed and I made the finally payment to them, I discovered several minor repair that needed to be done. This included fixing leaking sink, leaking drainage pipe underneath the countertop, missing baseboard, toilet paper holder coming loose, and bathtub faucet temperature control not being properly set. Unfortunately, since these problems were discovered at different times, I had to ask them to come out multiple times to fix the problems. Each time I called, they were very courteous and responsive. Each time they came at the time they promised and did their job and for that I was very appreciative and impressed by their professionalism. If I had to knit pick, it is that not all their workers took off their shoes before entering the house. At my home we do not walk on the floor with our shoes on. On the very first day or work, my wife had to complain and the worker promptly went to the Home Depot and bought some materials to put on the floor, so the problem was taken care of. I believe all workers should be aware of this possibility. Another problem is that their repair work on leaking sink and drainage pipe are still not complete (meaning their testing after repair was too hasty and not thorough enough), but I just don't have a heart to call them again. Since the problems are not serious, I'll just wait until I have to call a plumber next time.
Description of Work: Bathroom remodeling which included main bathroom/powder room next to it, and a second smaller bathroom. The work on the main bathroom included the replacement of bathtub, toilet, tile wall around bathtub and shower, vinyl floor with tile, and vent fans; the shower enclosure was done by a different contractor. The work on the powder room included the replacement of countertop, two sinks, medicine cabinet and resurfacing of cabinet underneath the countertop. The work on the smaller bathroom included replacement of countertop, sink, toilet, vinyl floor with tile and resurfacing cabinets underneath the countertop. Note: The amount shown above included only the labor cost and the cost of two countertops, two sinks and resurfacing cost of cabinets. All other parts such as bathtubs, toilets, shower enclosure, all accessories are additional cost for which I paid another 6 thousand dollars.

This was the worst experience I have had with ANY company. The project was slated to last for about 25 days beginning in the middle of September 2012 The first workman sent out was in the house for approximately 14 days and would show up at 11:00 am most days. Demoliton of the master took about 6 days and then the tiling fiasco. Unfortunately this individual was completely incompetent. and the small bit of tiling that he did in the shower was completely uneven and looked an absolute mess. I called the company and they sent out a supervisor who declared that "they would make it right." and would get back to us later in the day to let us know what they were going to do. That did not happen. I had to call them the next day to find out what was happening and still was not told exactly how they would handle this. The company realized that ALL of the work done had to be ripped out and restarted. Then the rescheduling nightmare began. Clearly since this had not gone according to the original schedule we became a nuisance and our project became secondary. It took another month and a half for these two bathrooms to be completed. The shower in the guest had not been used until January when we had guest and discovered that there is a leak in the shower. Unbelievable. Thank heavens we have a 90 day warranty that has not yet expired. I will be calling the shortly and see if they honor their warranty. I would never recommend this company.

The cabinet was delivered exactly how I wanted it. The installers showed up on time and properly covered the work area to avoid any spill-over into other rooms. The laundry cabinet is wall-to-wall and had to be adjusted when it was installed. The installers did an outstanding job during the entire process. I would, and have, highly recommend this company to friends and neighbors.

Mr. Cabinet Care were very professional, very helpful, and very warm. They understood where we were coming from. Now we haven't made up our mind, we have also investigated several companies and we were probably the most impressed with her and their products. She came out and did measurements and we talked a little bit. Then we went down to Mr. Cabinet Care and actually talked with them. She showed us some actual samples and so on. Again, we were very much impressed with her. We haven't definitely chosen, but she's certainly in the running out of the five or six people that we've talked with. She took measurements of the cabinets, sinks, and so on. The only thing that she did not do was take actual flooring but kind of tasted out. They have another company that they deal with that does the hardwood flooring for them. Our experience with with Mr. Cabinet Care was excellent.
Description of Work: We wanted to do some remodeling and spoke with Lynn from Mr. Cabinet Care. We were talking about remodeling three bathrooms, hardwood flooring through the entire second floor, and remodeling a staircase. She gave us an estimate for that.

Got three estimates and they were priced in the middle. We felt comfortable with the rep and got references. We called all of them and they were very pleased with the work of Mr. Cabinet, in fact, one was ready to get their bathroom done and they were going to hire MC for that work too. Only critical comment is that we had to wash our dishes in the bathtub for almost a week. At the end we were still very pleased with the overall work but they are a little pricey.

The workers were very professional and did a thorough job. The workers showed up on time and made sure they kept the work site clean and the debris cleaned up. The installation crew was very skilled and knew what they were doing. Our laundry cabinet had to be modified slightly and they did it here at the house. The moldings were done the right way and added to the clean lines of the cabinets. I would highly recommend this company for cabinets. They were voted #1 in the Orange County Register last year and they certainly have earned their #1 rating.

Everything went really well. I received a quote from their competitor, and they were willing to lower their initial estimate to get me the best deal possible. All of the employees at Mr. Cabinet Care were very professional, especially salesperson I worked with. He was helpful and knowledgeable. I thought the crew did great work, and they cleaned up after themselves well. Overall, I was impressed with their service.

When we first contacted Mr. CabinetCare, they were prompt in sending out a representative that helped us with the entire planning process. We were not planning on re-doing our kitchen, so we did not have any preplanned ideas of what we really wanted. Kevin from Mr. CabinetCare really helped give us some great ideas that ultimately helped to make our kitchen flow better and is now much more useful than it was prior to the redo. He also assisted us in making decisions on styles and types of wood for the cabinetry, and was very thorough in his explanation of the pros and cons of the different wood choices, never pressuring or pushing one type over another, which was very helpful to us. They were also extremely patient with us while we were picking out our granite and backsplash. We had a hard time with those choices and we actually ended up holding up the crew, but they never let on that this was a problem (although I'm sure that it was!). They were very gracious and got back on the job as soon as we made our choices. Once construction began, we were even more pleased that we chose MCC. The crew was on time every day, worked tirelessly throughout the day, and cleaned up behind themselves. It was the same crew everyday, and they were very polite and professional. They offered advice when I asked, and always double-checked before making any "serious" moves (cutting holes in walls, mounting cabinets, creating the island, etc). They were expert craftsmen, and it shows in their attention to each detail of our job. Overall, we could not ask for a better experience than we had with Mr. CabinetCare. From start to finish, we were amazed at the professionalism, craftsmanship, and work ethic of the company. Thanks so much, Mr. CabinetCare!!!
Description of Work: We contacted Mr. CabinetCare because we had an unexpected leak in our kitchen that resulted in mold. After discovering that Mercury insurance would not cover ANY of the costs, we consulted various kitchen construction companies to get estimates. Mr. CabinetCare worked with us to give us a great price to do a complete kitchen overhaul. We now have the kitchen that we love and are incredibly grateful that we chose them to help us go through what can be a very arduous process.

I started by getting 3 estimates for our project. When I started I had a general idea of what I wanted but I was very impressed with the additional ideas I received from my consultant at Mr. Cabinet Care. The three bids were all from what I considered to be good companies and the prices were competitive. I visited each of the business and immediately was impressed with the professionalism of Mr. Cabinet Care. "If they can keep the cabinet production area this organized I had total confidence they handle my projects. I also looked at several cabinets under construction and liked the quality and workmanship. I felt I would have a job well done and a superior product all for a similar price to the competition. When the surveyor arrived, prior to building the cabinets to confirm the order and check all of the measurements, I knew we were on the right tract. When the installation crew arrived the cabinets were all numbered and organized and the installation went off without a hitch. The attention to detail is obvious from start to finish. I have been involved in several large home improvement projects and and wish they all went this smoothly . Thanks Mr. Cabinet Care for providing a great product and completing our job on time with no hassle.

The experience was so bad, I canceled the job.
Description of Work: Gave deposit to company for cabinet work. After 3 day right of Rec., company started telling me that they would not provide the colors we wanted and would not do the work they bid on (and now refused to do). Instead, the cabinet company was telling us what work they would now be willing to perform and was telling us that we could not get the finishes we selected.. Now, I must look at taking them to small claims court to get my deposit back. In addition, they were in the process of changing all cabinet stains. So, the colors you saw were not the colors you were going to get. Also, had sample cabinet with antiquing or glaze on it. However, glaze fell off cabinet while sales person was showing us the door. Finally, they put antiquing (glaze) on all doors. Then, if you select a stained cabinet without that glaze, you are expected to determine (guess) how it might finally look by examining the back side of the cabinet. When we told the company that we would not deal with them, they finally "offered" to do the work as proposed and priced. We were unhappy with this company before they even did real measurements for cabinets.. I would stay far away.

1. They told me the drawers needed replacing, not refacing. The new drawers were not as good as the old drawers 2. Their finish does not last. I have had them out twice to "touch up" where the stain comes off. The stain should not come off 3. I ordered frosted glass inserts in some door panels. They delivered plastic bubble inserts. After much haggling they finally replaced the plastic with what I ordered .4. I had an appliance garage. They took it out and now I have something kind of funky 5. I asked for one replacement cabinet for a generic microwave (you know how they go to the electronic netherworld after a few years) Instead they made the cabinet so it only fits my current microwave. Ugh! What a job it will be to find a new microwave that is the exact same dimensions as the old one. Everything from soup to nuts.... From telling me that I needed new drawers and new cutting boards to using plastic instead of glass as contracted. It is an outfit designed to get every last penny out of you they can. I have never seen a group so set on selling. They are not providing service, They are providing stroking.

The salesperson arrived on time at our first meeting. From there however the company was slow in returning calls and scheduling work. When the workmen arrived to do the work they were confused as to what they were supposed to do and the way the work order was written. Although they cleared up their equipment neatly each evening the overall job wasn't very clean. They used aerosol sprays in some areas and there was a lot of overspray. The finished product was in most areas OK.
