Mr. Cabinet Care

It went better than we expected. Once the cabinets were built installation went quickly and smoothly. The design plan by Jamie Smugeresky was amazing. She was so incredibly helpful every step of the process. Cy Blady who also managed the project was responsive to our every need. All the workman were prompt, and extremely thorough. They were a pleasure to have in our home.

From start to finish, things were handle well...timely, neat, courteous, professional. I purchased hardware and the new appliances separately. Mr. CC recommended another contractor for wall paper removal, painting and changing lighting from fluorescent to LED floodlights---the coordination was very good. Of course, there are always issues that come up, but Mr. CC handled them well. At the beginning of the quote process, I contacted a lot of smaller contractors, and found a bunch of flakes. I don't need the hassle. Some other larger companies had limitations; If I'm paying for "full-service" that's what I want, and Mr. CC provided that. The work was scheduled from the quote process, and was held to very closely. After the cabinetry, the granite people come for templates, and then there is about a week of dead time. Then once the granite is done, things got finished quickly. I highly recommend Mr. CC for the work I had done. Not sure about things like completely new cabintets, but I know they do that, if you want.

I contacted Mr Cabinet care for refacing my kitchen cabinets and while the initial sales calls were good and Andy the sales person gave me a quotation which was quite out of our budget, we worked to get the budget under control. I did give a deposit of $1000 as required by Mr Cabinet care for work. We were assured that we will get a full refund of the deposit, should we cancel within 3 days of paying the deposit. Given the other projects going on at our home and the delays in those projects, we decided not to go ahead with the project and cancelled on 9/11/2014. I sent a formal notice of cancellation explaining the reason. I have the acnowldgement from the sales person Andy on 9/12/2014 and he promised to put the paper work through the very next day for the refund. It is now more than 2 weeks since I cancelled the order and there is no sign of refund of my $1000 deposit. I have followed up several times and the response is not prompt. I am fed up. Clearly this is not professional. I finally received my refund on 9/30/2014....19 days after I cancelled.

Arrived on time, was courteous, gave us an estimate and answered all our questions.

Although I did Not ultimately Use Mr. Cabinet Care I was very impressed with their thorough quoting and honesty. They were my second choice for a Kitchen Remodel (after getting 6 quotes) The salesman was very detailed and worked tremendously hard to earn the business. We were invited to visit the factory and talk with anyone we desired. They appeared to have a good product for a fair price. I would recommend them based on the quoting experience.

It was fine. I really liked them. It was a great experience other than it took a lot of time (over 21 days or something like that). They were very clean and very competent. They were very good. I would definitely recommend them. Any of the little nicks and scratches that I found afterwards, they came right back to fix it. They were very, very professional. Their prices were comparable to the other estimates that I got.

They were on time, professional, and did a great job There were a few snags but they fixed them without question quickly.

Initially the job went very well. The installation process went smoothly, they finished the project on time as planned. The designer and installer were fantastic. About a year or 2 after the install was went everything went south. A few of the kitchen cabinets (the ones nearest to the sink and dishwasher) the finish started peeling and cracking. Mr. Cabinet Care had someone come out to take a look and they sanded the doors and sprayed them with a overcoat. This helped the problem for a short period of time and then it continued to happen and began looking worse and worse over time. Awhile after that I had contacted Mr. Cabinet Care again and they sent someone out again to do the same thing. When I asked for the doors to be completely replaced under the "Lifetime Warranty" I was told that it was not covered because of the water that was causing the damage. There was not an unusual amount of water, just the normal steam that comes from a dishwasher. If you can't even have cabinets near your dishwasher without them getting ruined what are you supposed to do? I feel their products are inferior. I had offered to pay to have them replaced out of pocket and I was told they won't do a job that is under $500? I was to frustrated to deal with them after that. I am hoping that this negative review might come to someone attention that will take care of the problem and get it resolved.

Mr. Cabinet Care was recommended to me by my sister and her husband who hired them to remodel their home in Laguna Niguel. My sister is thorough with her research and is very particular about the quality of work that she considers to be excellent. Her recommendation, alone, was enough for me. From the get to, I found Mr. Cabinet Care representatives to be responsive, prompt, knowledgable, and flexible. From the sales team, to the demolition team, to the installers, to the office staff, every aspect of my experience with this company met or exceeded my expectations. There were no loose ends and nothing left undone. The final product is breathtaking, and I was so impressed with all levels of their service/product quality, that I immediately hired them for another job. :) While some may believe that Mr. Cabinet Care's fees are too high, I can assure you that, in this case, you get what you pay for. Their work is worth every penny.

We were extremely pleased with the remodel of our kitchen by Mr. Cabinet Care. The work started on time each day. The area was left clean each night. Our worker was most thoughtful, courteous, and highly skilled. When a problem was encountered, he fixed it immediately. We did not have the budget for a complete remodel, but he was able to give us tons of tips and had we the cash, we would have gone with their service. Very professional.

After our meeting I seemed to me that resurfacing the cabinets involved a lot of labor and that it might be cheaper to install new cabinets. When the rep did a follow up call I expressed these concerns. She assured me that she would work up a quote installing new cabinets and send it out to me. As of this writing I have received nothing, not even a phone call letting me know if they even did new cabinets. I ended up going with a different company because they kept their word. I wouldn't even consider Mr. Cabinets for my future projects because of this.

The initial sales people and the designer were wonderful and the the installer was great. Trying to schedule the installation and understand the procedures with the office staff was unprofessional on their part. We had to complain to management on two separate occasions about the office staff's attitude. Because of this I will never work with them again, nor would I recommend them to anyone else. They are a customer service provider and should behave as one. I could have gone else where if I wanted to be treated like I was an idiot and with a condescending tone. A customer service department makes or breaks a business in my opinion.

It has been a great experience. They are here when they say that they are going to be here. They do what they say they are going to do. They take time to explain everything step by step and their workmanship is great.

It went really well. They did what we asked them to do. Their demeanor was excellent. Their pricing was reasonable.

This company was a complete pleasure to deal with. They are very professional. Once you have selected the style of cabinets or flooring or whatever you want done, someone will come to your home and provide a very detailed quote, complete with a detailed computer graphic to help you visualize what will be done. Once you decide to go ahead with the job, a second person will come to your home and do a final dimension check on every aspect of your job. The cabinets are built at their facility and brought to your home and installed. Once they started working, they showed up virtually every day and worked the full day until the entire job was complete. Our job took about 5 weeks which included one week of down time while our granite counter tops were being fabricated. The work area was blocked off with plastic sheeting to prevent dust from spreading throughout the house. At the end of each day they cleaned up. All the people who came to our home were very pleasant and absolutely knew what they were doing. The workmanship is really superior. Their quote was very competitive. They were about in the middle of the quotes we got to perform the job. I can't say enough good things about this company. The end product is beautiful.

After 5 months of searching for a kitchen company, I found Mr. Cabinet Care. They were quick to answer their phones, and set up an appointment. The sales person was timely and explained their process in great detail. He also explained that the employees were not contractors and they were experts in their work. He provided pictures of client work and was very attentive to our needs. He worked out a price, including the granite on the spot. We had other quotes, and this was very competitive. We signed on the spot. The office called to book the next series of appointments. We had another person come and remeasure and build the plans. We asked to choose our granite from a slab and they connected us with their stone yard. We also met with their tile people. Everyone was on the ball, and kept their appointments. The tear out was one day and the person left our house very clean. The installation was over 4 days and each craft did a nice job, leaving the site clean at the end of the day. I am very pleased with the work, the price and the professionalism of the company. I would happily recommend them. I think that they would be very good for older people and people who appreciate polite service as well as a competitive price. That is a rare thing. Thanks to the team.

Mr. Cabinet Care were very efficient and were here on time. They were very nice and did a beautiful job. All the people were so awesome, friendly and patient. It was a great experience.

They quoted $16000 for the job. They were good, but $16000 sounded a bit more. I really can't say much because I haven't called anybody else, so I don't have comparison about the price range. The guy who came out, his name was John Goodsell and he was really good. He had a lot of patience. He answered all of my questions. He was here almost half a day and he was very thorough.

They were really good. But they didn’t follow-up to see how we liked it. I thought that was kind of weird. The salesperson took a while to get back to us after they had our money. The cabinets are beautiful. They did a wonderful job. I was very happy with them. I was a little upset with them not getting back to me right away. It was mainly the saleswoman but the rest of them were good. She wasn’t returning our calls. Their quality of work and their clean up were all excellent. They were always there on time.

Mr. Cabinet Care were well worth the cost. They were very professional and an excellent company. I couldn't ask for anything better. It was super professional, clean, neat, tidy, and they were concerned about any of our concerns. They were super professional and excellent work. They are the best. This is the third house we have built and they are just an excellent company. Their price is really reasonable. I plan on using them again. I plan on calling them in 3 weeks.

The work started at the beginning of October 2012 and it took less than 3 weeks to complete the entire job. The work started by having my marvel bathtub, shower, vinyl floor and marvel wall around shower, and toilet taken out. Marvel bathtub, marvel wall around shower enclosure and marvel countertops in the powder room as well as in the small bathroom were broken into small pieces for easy transport. The first unexpected problem was the discovery of a dry rot problem underneath the shower floor. Since their estimate of additional cost was too high in my opinion, I complained. They were reasonable enough to lower the cost. After the demolition of the shower wall, their tile workers who did the tile work discovered small broken pieces of marvels were stuck in the shower drainage hole, meaning that demolition workers did not properly cover the drainage hole. The disaster was avoided by an attentive tile worker who removed them. After the demolition work was completed, the installation phase, as described above, went smoothly without too much problems and all the accessories such as all faucets, shower heads, toilet paper holders, towel bars and knobs for all drawers were installed. The actual work was completed in less than 3 weeks, but it took longer than that because of waiting time involved in having a shower enclosure completed by a different vendor before I had Mr. Cabinet Care perform the finishing touch. However, once the work was completed and I made the finally payment to them, I discovered several minor repair that needed to be done. This included fixing leaking sink, leaking drainage pipe underneath the countertop, missing baseboard, toilet paper holder coming loose, and bathtub faucet temperature control not being properly set. Unfortunately, since these problems were discovered at different times, I had to ask them to come out multiple times to fix the problems. Each time I called, they were very courteous and responsive. Each time they came at the time they promised and did their job and for that I was very appreciative and impressed by their professionalism. If I had to knit pick, it is that not all their workers took off their shoes before entering the house. At my home we do not walk on the floor with our shoes on. On the very first day or work, my wife had to complain and the worker promptly went to the Home Depot and bought some materials to put on the floor, so the problem was taken care of. I believe all workers should be aware of this possibility. Another problem is that their repair work on leaking sink and drainage pipe are still not complete (meaning their testing after repair was too hasty and not thorough enough), but I just don't have a heart to call them again. Since the problems are not serious, I'll just wait until I have to call a plumber next time.
