We like everything they have done. It was pretty seamless. They were responsive and got everything done. The garage door works well. I got a good price on the garage door and the keypad. We are all in all happy.

The rep talked a good story about their service but when he inspected the door after completion he said they didn't finish the job and would send someone out. One one came. I tried contacting them...nothing. 13 days after installation the door didn't go all the way up and I backed the car in the door denting the lower level. Called them, they never came out. My husband had to fix the door. Very unprofessional!!!

We'll see it's been a rocky start. The actual employees seem very empathetic and understanding, they just don't have a fighting chance to do a great job given this company's SOP, policies, or procedures. UPDATE: I was right. This project was rocky from start to finish. The only thing that went right was the sales call. Tech came back on the next day which was Saturday and he was late (but again, not his fault - according to him they made him go somewhere else first). Then it seemed like it was going smoothly right where he told me it was done. WAIT. Is that a and quot;premium stepdownand quot; it just looks like exposed wooden 2 x 4's? Tech was unable to explain. He said he didn't think it looked premium either and recommended I go to Home Depot. YES YOU ARE READING THAT RIGHT. The tech TOLD ME TO GO TO HOME DEPOT TO FIND SOME CROWN MOLDING MATERIAL. He was a cool guy and installed it and I had to primer and paint it myself for four+ hours. So much for a premium stepdown. The company kicked in $250 for all these troubles but as you will no doubt deduce I TOTALLY FELT LIKE THIS WAS NOT WORTH THE STRESS OR WASTE OF ALL MY TIME.
Description of Work: DISCLAIMER: The following is my opinion and not a claim of facts. Everything that follows below is my perception of how I was treated and my thoughts, feelings, and opinions on my experience with this vendor. You should do your own research and arrive at your own decisions regarding which vendors you choose to work with. Despite confirming a "first call / morning appointment" notation 3 times my poor installer was only able to make it to my house at 2PM. Not sure what country they meant when they said they'd shoot for morning. Normally if you shoot for morning and you miss you get noon, not 2PM. It gets worse. Immediately installer realized he did not have enough wood to do the job (build-down) correctly. He could MacGuyver it but that was it. So my choice was let this poor guy do his best or reschedule. Obviously since it's my house I opted for the latter. End-result: entire day wasted waiting for installer who arrived without the ability to make any progress. Not installers fault, not customer service's fault, it's management's fault. First off - why do you think your current scheduling system is adequate? With all the business you're generating off KFI you have to plan better for the demand. You simply cannot keep people from going to work only to fail them, in this economy. Do you guys read Yelp and what people are saying? Even if it's a small percentage don't you care about improving the Customer Experience? Secondly - why don't you provide your techs with the specifics they need so that they can do the job (Correctly) when they arrive on site? I cannot recall a single project where a contractor arrived so poorly equipped from a raw material standpoint! That's just inexcusable. To show up and miss some random part I understand, but WOOD? Come on wood has been used since the beginning of mankind and you can't arm him with enough to get it done??? Poor installers comment: "They don't tell me enough, I used all the wood on the first job" Moral of the story, if you hire Mesa be prepared to spend not only more than the ads lead you to believe (which wasn't even something I minded frankly), but be prepared for it to be a multiple day ordeal. Do not believe the hype about working around your schedule that is simply false advertising in my opinion.

The quality of their work was good. I had five or six different garage door companies come out and give me estimates on doors and openers. They weren't the cheapest but they weren't the most expensive. They were competitive and comparable. I would call them the next time to get a bid but I would not arbitrarily use them.

Fairly fast, smooth process as long as you don't mind paying about double what you expect based on the company advertising.
Description of Work: I called to replace my old wooden garage door after hearing the Mesa ads on the radio. The radio ads say $399 new garage door installed and haul away the old door. It turns out that if you have a two-car garage then it's really $699 (makes sense, but seems misleading in the ad). Also, you have to have your own motor already installed and even then they charge $70 to connect it. It's an additional $50 for the emergency open key and they ask for an ungodly amount to add vents or windows. On the old garage door haul away they want an additional $29 disposal fee - turns out the free haul away they advertise on the radio is truly only hauling. While I don't care where they dispose of it they would not take the old door until I paid the additional $29 fee. The installers were actually really nice, but the sales guy was pushy and kept coming up with last-minute add-ons. He would say "Oh, do you want the weatherstripping for the sides? That's another $30!!!"

I had Mesa Garage Door give me an estimate to replace my old door with a new sectional door. I contacted them via email and no sooner had I sent the message than the phone rang with their representative wanting to set up a date for the estimate. The estimator was right on time, knew his stuff, and had samples of the doors. What struck me, though, was Mesa's pricing strategy. They have a basic price for each of their doors, but then comes a seemingly endless list of "ups and overs" that sort of smacked of an old-timey car salesman. Do I want a bottom seal? Do I want side moulding and/or side vinyl seals? Do I want nylon rollers? Do I want a second remote? And so forth. Each option adds to the cost. Their basic prices are competitive, but due to the "ups and overs", their final price was the highest I received. Then, when I indicated I was getting additional estimates, the Mesa representative wanted to know from who, and then began disparaging them. This I found somewhat unprofessional. He then said if signed for the job right then, he would lower the cost by 5%. I declined, but in a subsequent email, wherein he informed me that one of the other companies providing me an estimate was not licensed (this was incorrect), he offered me the 5% discount and would throw in one of the options for free. In the end, I found his disparaging of competitors to be off-putting and didn't care for their Chinesemenu pricing strateg. Therefore, yI went with a different company that offered many of Mesa's "ups and overs" as standard, and did so at a lower cost.

The guy who came and gave us a quote was punctual and very polite. However, when I told him we were going to get another estimate he said to be careful because other providers would not provide the same steel guage, but I found that this was not true and it seemed to me like he was trying to confuse us.

I was very rushed and one man did the entire job. I wanted him to come later, as I had someone waiting and he said he would finish in half an hour, but took more than an hour. This company has inadequate customer service. They installed a damaged door in December. They scheduled and appointment to replace a panel twice and did not show and did not call. They offered me a keyless door entry pad as a peace offering as I took 2 days off of work. I called to remind Gabrielle of my key pad and he told me to call him on Monday as he was surfing. Then their customer service representative, Gabrielle, said he couldn't get it. Every time I called I asked to speak to a supervisor. Both Gabrielle and Angela promised someone would call in a day or two and I am still waiting. I did get my door repaired but got no keyless door entry pad. Much to my surprise yesterday I got another message saying my door was now in stock. This call was from Gabrielle, again.. I find it hard to believe a company this size can't get a keyless entry pad for my garage door. I find it hard to believe I had to give the workmen window cleaner and paper towels to clean the windows on my new door. Dwight needs to know his company has issues that need to be taken care of.

I worked with Sales Person Rick Thompson. I did not negotiate at all. I have existing garage doors which I wanted to replace. I specifically asked about the current motors that I have and if I could still use them. He reassured me that that would be no problem. I waited 4 weeks to have special 8 foot sectional doors ordered (579$ for each 8x8foot steel, entry level sectional door; plus 285$ for reconnecting and recalibrating the old motors). On the day of installation (removal of old doors and installing 3 new doors, they send one installer to do 3 doors. Raul, the installer was very nice and knowledgeable. Rick told me it would take 3 hrs to half day to install the doors. Raul was at my garage from 11am to 7pm. At 7pm, I had to stop him mid way through the 3rd door installation as it was getting too late to be making all the noise with installation (sawing metal railing, drilling, etc.). He told me he still had 45 minutes more to go. On top of that, he told me that the old door openers would not work as the rails were not long enough. He said this was obvious to him before he started the install as the current rails are only 7 feet long and the new doors are 8 feet long! On top of that, he broke one of my old motors, which are now irrelevant anyways. He relays that he will let the service department know of the problems and someone would call me, supposedly Rick. I call the company the next day and no one from service will try to trouble shoot, telling me that Rick is my sales persons and will be in touch. He still does not contact me after a day, so I speak with Liz who is manager of service department. She reassures me that she will look into this and get back in touch with me before the end of the day (this was a Friday). No call back at the end of the day, and when I call back, I get a person who can only take a message. Rick calls back on Saturday, saying someone screwed up on the measurements (he did the estimate and took the measurements), and that he would do his best to take care of me with good pricing on new motors (since there were no rail extensions for my current motors) after he speaks to his manager on Monday. I get a call Monday 430pm, saying to call him back. We play phone tag for the next 2 days. He never answers his phone. He apparently is always in the field doing estimates. He finally quotes me 355$ per new belt drive Liftmaster motors, and that he would draw up the numbers. I ask him questions about types of motors (screw, chain, belt) which he has no significant knowledge about. I ask him about different brands, which he does not have any other good infomation about. I ask him about remote keyless entries for the various systems and if they could open more than one door. He does not know and says he needs to look it up. He quotes me 59$ for a Chamberlain remote keyless (sells for 20$ on amazon.com). It takes 5 minutes to install, very easy. I ask about wall mount controls that can control all three doors. He says there is no such thing. I look it up online on the Chamberlain website and there is a 3 door control accessory available. I get a call the next day. He can give me a"deal" $1410 for 3 Chamberlain Belt drive model 3280 openers. This works out to 470$ per door. I'm like you told me 355$ per opener! He says its 375$ per opener, when you subtract the 180$ he discounted me since the old motors weren't recalibrated. Wait a minute, I was charged 285$ for the recalibration! Again I say what happened to 355$ yesterday. He says that he was in his car quoting prices from memory and was sorry he gave me wrong numbers. What the $%and @!! On top of that, he told me yesterday that he could have the motors installed by Saturday (today is Wed). Now he says, its too late to have it in Saturday, but anytime after next week Tuesday!!! This is how they take care of their customers and make things "right" when they screw up. Liz, service manager, says they work extra hard to fix problems in a timely manner to reduce downtime of the garage. Well, that clearly is not a priority to them. I've heard their jingle while holding on the phone for them. They claim to be all about customer service. This is actually why I chose them in the first place. Bottom Line. I called Liz, service manager, to cancel the motors, finish installing the 3rd door, and that I would be getting the motors from another company. I was told she would call back in 30 minutes. No call back or message for me today. Maybe she's call me back tomorrow if I'm lucky. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!! Horrible!!!!!

Matt called in the morning to let me know he was on the way. He was VERY nice and professional and arrived within the time frame quoted. He let me know my motor was about 40 years old (which it is) and if money was a problem I would be okay with just a new motor and not a door. I have an old wooden door that won't go up if it has rained-too heavy. He quoted what I think is a fair price for a motor including installation ($299.00). Will most likely call them back and have that done. May get the new door down the road.

Two days before the schedule installation they rescheduled for several weeks later because it was a special order (it took a while to figure that out?). The crew showed up on time, removed our wooden door--and then disappeared for hours, leaving our stuff exposed to the street. After a call to the supervisor, they eventually returned, only to install the wrong door. It was similar in style to the one we chose but with different windows. It turned out the one we'd ordered wouldn't fit our opening, but that wasn't explained to us in advance. Eventually the supervisor lowered the bill by $400, which moved up their grade from a D to a C.

Dave came to my house. He gave me a two page brochure to look at while he measured the garage opening. He seemed very thourough. He estimated about $1500 for the door (advertised at $599 installed) with windows and opener. (He later added a $99 financing fee, too.) I told him that I would buy the door and opener, but wanted the advertised deal where there was no interest and no payments for 1 year. We discussed that at some length, because Dave didn't seem to understand the deal I required. He would agree with me, then ask me if I wanted no payments or no interest. I told him it had to be both and he said that I was right. He gave me a visa application to fill out. In addition, he filled out another loan application with some of my information, but left the terms blank. He told me that he would have "his girl" in the office fill out the rest. Since I had already gotten some doubletalk from him, I said he'd have to fill out the terms before I signed. When he finally agreed to do so, he filled it out with "regular payments" instead of deferred payments. I told him he would have to change it or I wouldn't sign. He refused and became angry. I told him that I wasn't willing to sign something I hadn't agreed to, so I wouldn't buy the door from him after all. I asked him to return my visa application, which he did, and he left in a huff.

As stated above, I called Mesa and had one of their reps come over to my house and give me an estimate on a new garage door. A door, price and install date were then agreed upon. To be complete, I did call back and change the order to a upgraded door the very day that the original order was to be placed. The rep said that there would be no problem and that if there were any delays from the originally scheduled install date, he would call and re schedule the install. The install date and time came and went all without any contact at all, i.e. in person or by phone with/from Mesa as they said they would do. I called Mesa to see what was going on. They said they would look into the matter and call me back. After 2 hours still no word. I then called back and asked to talk with a supervisor. She said that she would look into the matter and get back with me. Still nothing after 2 more hours. I called back for a third time and asked to talk with the supervisors-supervisor. All I got was a voice mail and no returned call-from anyone. I then went on Mesa's web site and found the owners e-mail address and wrote to him directly about the issues. Absolutely no response at all from anyone at Mesa. I subsequently called back on their order line and was able to have one of their workers cancel my order. Mesa showed absolutely no desire to contact me in any way to explain why I had wasted my only day off during the week to wait for an install person who never showed up or called. To date Mesa has never conducted any sort of follow up at all. I then bought the exact same door through another dealer who sold it to me for $210.00 less than what Mesa said they would charge. Mesas' claim of selling the lowest priced doors were not true as advertised. Shop around first. In my opinion, Mesa is too big for personal service and apparently is only interested in your money and nothing else.
Description of Work: I originally contracted with Mesa to provide me with a new garage door. They failed to follow thru with their portion of the order so I subsequently canceled my order and bought the door through someone else.
