We called Mesa Garage Doors twice and left two messages and did not receive a call back. For all the radio advertising i figured they would be more response.

First of all the wrong doors were ordered. We purchased solid core pre-hung doors and they brought hollow doors. They then rushed the replacement order for the correct doors and they came unfinished. So they sent a finishing carpenter out to finish all the doors and hang them. This process took more then 4 weeks. The pocket door was not put in as the sales rep didn't inform us that they would have to tear out the walls and casings which were just redone. They also didn't end up painting the doors or putting on the hardware so I deducted the pocket door, hardware for one door and the cost of painting from the final check. A month later they charged the credit card that was used for the deposit for a figure that doesn't make either the amount I deducted or any other logical amount. I have tried to call repeatedly to which no one has ever responded.

They showed up right on time and worked very quickly and efficiently. They had to send out two workers instead of one because we had a non-functional motor home in front of the doors that could not be moved. We were very happy with the quality and appearance of the new doors and they are working great!

I first contacted Mesa Doors on February 5, 2014. They came to my house the following day and we agreed upon a door and a price. I was told it would be two to three weeks for completion of the project. Subsequently I received several calls, delaying the completion of the project. Each subsequent date was postponed, often at the last minute. For instance, on April 15th [almost 10 weeks instead of the promised time of 3 weeks], I received a call telling me that the scheduled install of April 16, would not occur and was postponed till sometime in early May. At that point I told them [as I had before] that this was unacceptable and I wanted to cancel and receive a refund of my deposit. The response was that it wasn't their fault, but they promised me that someone would call me the next morning to discuss this. They then stalled for over a week: in spite of my calling several times, I didn't get to talk with anyone. Then they called to say they could install my door and side panels the following Monday [which was 11 weeks or almost 3 months, not three weeks, after first contact]. At that point I gave in and agreed rather than start the process over with a different company. They did give me a 10% discount and the installers were prompt and courteous. However, when I called the person they recommended to do the finishing work [painting or staining], he made an appointment for the following day to come inspect and talk to me about price. He did not arrive and when I called to see what was going on, his son [part of the business] said he'd had an emergency and couldn't keep the appointment. When I asked why there had been no call to inform me and reschedule, the son promised to call his father and talk to him about it. I have never heard back from anyone and I'm currently working with a different painting contractor.

Response from Mesa Garage Doors
Mesa acknowledges that there was a significant delay in installing the door and we were indeed at the mercy of our manufacturer for the delivery of completed product. Because we did repeatedly schedule [member name removed] door to be installed immediately after ETA provided by manufacturer, it often came down to last minute rescheduling. Realizing the inconvenience of this, we did discount the order, although our hands were tied as well. As far as our recommendation for painting and staining, we do appreciate the feedback and will address directly with them. We do not recommend unless we have an excellent standing and track record in using their services, so this is equally disappointing to us as well.

I called the company and they said they can't send anyone until tomorrow at 10:00. I asked what I would do in the meantime since my garage was filled with valuable items and I can't leave it open all night. They said that they don't have anyone on duty for emergency situations and couldn't help. I called the salesman that sold me the door directly and he hung up on me. They didn't help at all, not even with any suggestions for me. I'm very upset with their service. If I had known that they couldn't help in an emergency, I would never have used them in the first place. I had to use another company that could come out on short notice.
Description of Work: I had an emergency at 5:30 on a Friday. My garage door came down about 1/3 of the way, but wouldn't close. I just bought the door last May, so it isn't even a year old.

Response from Mesa Garage Doors
Mesa Garage Doors does not provide or specialize in emergency services on Mesa installed garage doors or any other 3rd party garage doors and motors. In the specific case of [member name removed] the customers call was received on 04-04-2014 @ 5:30PM and she ([member name removed]) stated in the call that she hit the garage door (assuming with a vehicle) therefore making the door inoperable. It is true that she had purchased her door almost a year ago when she called in for the service. It was indicated to the customer that we do not offer emergency services and she proceeded to demand from the Service call center representative that we have someone out to service her inoperable door, and the ramifications that [member name removed] offered to the call center representative is that she will basically place complaints at every social media site possible to include launching a complaint with the BBB along with the reimbursement of $115.00 if Mesa Garage Doors did not come to their senses and send someone to repair the inoperable garage door. The customer was advised while on the call that there is an emergency manual release cord on the motor that needs to be pulled so that she may manually close the door properly. Mesa Garage Doors has a warranty program for the door itself from any cracking, paint chipping and manufacturer defects as a limited lifetime warranty. We do not cover damages to the garage doors that are caused due to accidents, the homeowners negligence & natural acts of god which once Mesa Garage Doors is aware of the extenuating circumstances the warranty automatically becomes void. In the case of [member name removed] when she purchased her door she also signed into agreement on 05-08-2013 that since she had an existing opener that Mesa Garage Doors does not provide any warranty on the reconnection done at the customer’s request.

I shopped around a TON of garage door manufacturers looking for a custom glass roll up door for our new bonus room overlooking the backyard. I was really surprised that Mesa had a very high quality door that was exactly what I was looking for at the best price. They came out twice with two difference reps to measure and to confirm before the order was placed, which was reassuring. Installation went very quickly and cleanly. I noticed a slight gap in the door and they came out immediately to adjust the door. I'm very happy with the entire process.

I called them and left a message. They called me back within two hours and scheduled an appointment with me. They arrived right on time to the appointment. When he was doing the tune-up, I asked him why the garage door was shaking. He opened the garage door a few times and found that the spring that the previous company installed was underpowered for the door. He had the parts with him and was able to install them right away. I am very pleased with the service and I couldn't be happier with them.

I had given the sales person pictures. We had an hour long conversation. He ended up writing it wrong, and the wrong garage door was put on. They ended up switching out the windows to a shorter panel, but refused to change out the door without adding a stalking fee. It was there mistake to begin with. The salesperson did not own up to it. They were shown pictures and explained the work thoroughly. They did not clean up after themselves. There were wood shavings and nails everywhere. It affected my health condition, because I was being referred to as a liar, and the sales person did not take ownership of his mistakes and was not honest. I trusted him and began to read the contract, but was distracted. The overall experience was an awful disaster. They were not very consumer friendly. They were unproffessional and un-ethical. They gave me a $70 credit for the over all mistakes, but the agrivation went on for two weeks as far as the resolution. I called them about the installation from the beginning. They never called to say that they were even coming. After the trouble all started, I called them back the same day, and they were not finished with the work. When speaking with the sales person. He was accusatory and again refused to take ownership of any mistakes not attempted to help. They never called me. I'd wait for a day or two, and no one called back; I had to be the one to continue to reach out to them. No return phone calls. Overall, I would NOT recommend them to anyone else.

I was honestly hesitant to use this company due to the and quot;Band quot; rating from Angie's List but decided to get an estimate since we got a coupon in the mail (I realize it was a gamble since I only like to use and quot;Aand quot; rated companies). We called the 800 number and they sent out Eldon Orgill. He showed up on time for the free estimate and was professional and answered our questions. We had gotten a few other estimates but I felt the price was better for Mesa and we felt he really knew garage doors. I also like that he left us with a brochure which seems obvious but other companies did not do this. That way we were able to pick out our windows on our own time and not rushing to figure out what type of window we wanted so they could add it to the estimate. When the installer arrived I was more than surprised that it was only one guy. He showed up right on time and installed it in about 2 hours (or less). He was very professional and seemed to do a very good job. I would recommend Mesa Garage Doors and would use them in the future if we ever need another garage door or even a repair.

The garage door was installed on 6/08/13. It is crooked (I mean the door). I telephoned Maria (a supervisor, I was told) at (714) 787-1903 to inform her that there is a visible gap on the left side, that the top line of the door is visibly higher on the left side and on the right side, the bottom of the door does not adequately meet the garage floor. I also informed her that I had wanted a door (oversized) that would fit the opening, but was told by their representative Peirre Gus that his modifications would make a double-sized door work without any problem. Maria promised that someone would check out this problem. No one did and no one from Mesa called. On 6/24/13 I spoke to Janet at (800) 951-7700 who informed me that the matter was under and quot;reviewand quot;and a and quot;decisionand quot; would be made when the owner returned from vacation. I sent a certified letter to the owner on file - Mr Dwight Esnard - which was received by Mesa. Today is 7/31/13 and I must assume that Mr Esnard goes on very long vacations since I have not heard from Mesa as yet. My big mistake was assuming that a big company like Mesa would honor their work and be professional. Mesa Garage Doors gets a big and quot;Fand quot;.

We purchased garage doors and paid an extra $900 for a premium faux wood color (dark oak). The contract was signed on 4/1/2013 and install scheduled for 5/21/2013. The doors were installed on the scheduled date and the process went well. however, the install included the wrong color of exterior weather stripping which was to be color matched. I've contacted Mesa Gararge on 8-separate occassions now and still do not have a committment from them when the material will be replaced at my residence. The followiing is a synopsis of those calls. At the early stages I didn't request names to whom I was speaking as I was still in a trusting posture. 5/28/2013: Mesa acknowleged the problem stating the the correct color was not in stock when the install ocurred and scheduled the replacement to occur on 5/21/2013 which they no-showed. 6/1/2013: Called Mesa, they apologized blamed it on the lack of material and rescheduled for 6/4/2013 6/4/2013: Called Mesa prior to the end of the day as they no-showed again. Mesa cited lack of material again and were to call me following day with status. I received no return call. 6/7/2013: Called Mesa, spoke to Tom. He told me that he would call by the end of the day to confirm what time they would be out on 6/8/2013. No return call was made by Mesa. 6/10/2013: Called Mesa requested a supervisor and got Maria who scheduled for 6/15/2013 if the material comes in and they would status me later in the week. Much to my surpise they failed to follow up and we were ignored again by Mesa. 6/17/2013: Called Mesa, Tom answered and I asked to speak to Maria. I waited on hold over 5-minutes and decided to call back later. I received a return call from Mesa within 2-minutes of hanging up and it was Tom from Mesa. Tom said that he was researching my issue, didn't call for Maria because he was going to take care of this and advise me today. No return call from Tom after his personal pledge to staus. 6/25/2013: Called Mesa on their sales line this time asking to speak with a sales manager and cited the nature of the complaint. I waited on hold and the next person to come on line was Maria. Without giving anyone my name, Maria knew who I was by the nature of the complaint. She was very sweet, apologized for the lack of follow up and asked me to allow her 30-minutes to get a good status and would call me. No return call came from Mesa. I tried calling Mesa sales lines and service lines on 7/1 and 7/2/2013. No one answered either phone line(may be closed for the holiday) but both had messages saying to leave a message for Maria. I did leave Maria a message that maybe it's time to agree on a partial refund. I await their response. We were contacted by Mesa in late august who scheduled with us to change the weather stripping. Work was performed 8/27/13 color was not great but much better than before. I accept this as contract closure to be done with Mesa, I will still not recommend them.

Mesa Garage Doors did the work for the price they had quoted. I liked that the salesman came out and showed me all the different options, and told me what the smart options would be. He said "You are in Southern California, so unless you are going to be in your garage 24/7, and seeing the direction your garage faces, there's no reason to go with the extra super-duper insulated. Choose something that's reasonable." So we went with the reasonable insulation. He talked about the different kinds of hardware, so we could make a decision on which hardware was best for my house. Then after having the conversation he actually upgraded my hardware anyways without charging me the extra for it. So that was nice. He as talking about the bearing that go through - some are plastic and some have wheels that bearings inside of them, we were only going to have them on some of the doors because the other won't be used that much. So he threw the bearings in to the job for that other door. The salesman was fabulous because he knew everything about garage doors. He knew what the issues were that I was having with my previous ones, and he also knew about his competition that was around here, so that was nice too. The salesman was early to the appointment. The installers were fabulous: they came out, they were quick, they cleaned up and there was no mess left. They took care of some extra things that weren't really part of their job while they were out there, just to make sure everything looked nice at the house.

30 yr old garage door broke on a Friday, Mesa was the first to come on Saturday to give an estimate. Got three other estimates and Mesa could come the soonest that next Tuesday and the price included upgraded hardware like the TV ads say. One guy came and replaced the old one piece wooden door with a sectional aluminum door modifying the existing garage door opener at no extra charge. Took him about five hours with no unexpected surprises or hassles. Mesa provides quick, courteous, reliable service and a great value for the price.

We met with a sales rep for Mesa Garage Doors and one other company. The rep was prompt, friendly and helpful. After meeting with another company, we decided to go with Mesa to have our old wooden garage door replaced with a new metal, rolling door. We didn't go with the garage door opener because we decided to purchase that later. The serviceman was prompt, seemed knowledgeable and got the door installed the same day. He even removed and took our old door away. A couple of days after the installation, we noticed that a slight adjustment was needed. Someone came out right away and made the adjustment. It's now been five months and we're still very satisfied with the new door.

The worker arrived on time. He showed me the 2 broken springs. He replaced those and then gave me tips on annual maintenance which I could perform myself. It was one of the hottest days of the year and he worked in the garage where there is very little ventilation. He did not complain. He estimated $300 and the work came in at approximately $275.
