Great. Mak was very detailed and informative on each step as he worked. He was very professional and responsive if we had questions. He was here every day and worked whatever hours were needed to complete the job.

The roof replacement was done first and the kitchen cabinets after that. We are satisfied with the result of the whole work. Mak is also easy to talk and flexible if you have other ideas how the result should look like.

About fifteen years ago, we met Mac through family friends and he tiled a bathroom for us. He did a great job, and (aside from looking dated because so much time has passed) the work has help up really well. So, when decided to renovate, we contacted his company, along with seven others to do a more extensive renovation. We live in an older home (built in 1947) and wanted to create a more open floor plan. This included a full kitchen renovation and taking down a load bearing wall. Mac was one of three who actually responded in a timely manner. He was the only one who showed up for the consultation at the scheduled time, delivered the estimate when he promised he would, and followed up on emails and calls within hours. He was not the cheapest estimate we got, but his quote was reasonable, and after hearing a bunch of horror stories about contractors, we decided to go with GAP because of what seemed to be his good work ethic. He was also the only one who told us that since our house was older, we should allot a bit more in our budget because you never know what you'll find when you start tearing stuff up in an older house. I cannot tell you how happy I am that we made this decision. Not only did he deliver the project basically within the time frame he promised (we had some wood damage and plumbing issues that set us back a few weeks), but my house did not turn into a mess. At the time, I was seven months pregnant with a toddler in the house, so I was worried about how I would keep her away from construction dust etc. Mac made sure to keep the mess to an absolute minimum and spent at least an hour each day cleaning up to make sure my daughter wasn't exposed to anything harmful. Throughout the process, he communicated everything really well. Each day, without fail, he gave me an update on what was done and what to expect in the next few days. Whenever an issue arose, he laid out all the options he could see, and only offered his suggestion if we asked him for his advice. We even asked him to do a few additional projects, and he was able to accommodate us. Whenever we ran into an issue with manufacturers, he called the reps and handled the issues for us. In short, Mac's is incredibly knowledgeable, and he is a true professional. We've found a contractor for life and have already recommended him to numerous people. Renovating is stressful, regardless of who does it, but knowing that we had Mac overseeing everything certainly eased a ton of stress for my family.

I was referred to Mak by the manufacturer of this pump. He worked with me for 3 days with phone calls and emailed to help me get this pump fixed. He wasn't close to me to be able to come out and do the work. This guy really new what he was doing, every little part.

If you need more than a handyman from the yellow pages to repair water and termite damage to your house structure, I highly recommend MAK at GAP. MAK explains what is required and regularly updates you on progress as the job progresses. He is a professional, master craftsman. Previously, MAK refurbished our two bathrooms, Counter tops, cabinets, tile floor, faucets, drywall, painting, etc We are very happy with the results two and a half years later.
