Benito's Landscaping

Benito's was contacted last year after a terrible two years with a BIG name in landscaping. I told the Benitos team I had been paying high prices and received terrible service from my previous provider. I detailed my needs, weekly lawn care/maintenance, a play area built and most importantly I needed to solve a major standing water problem I had in my backyard. Our yard basically receives all the run off from these very large houses that are built higher up and adjacent to our yard. Benito's team was professional and thorough from the start. They walked the yard with me and had me describe exactly what was happening. They then explained that they are experts at handling this type of problem and put forth their plan for solving it. They assured me we would not have water in our yard once they were finished. They submitted a proposal promptly and once we signed off , they started immediately. The team that did the drainage and play area work were professional, thorough and conscientious. Pasqual made sure I had his number during the job in case I needed anything additional or had concerns. Their work was beautiful. They went above and beyond at every stage. I waited until we started to receive heavy rains to write this review because although the new drains were gorgeous I wasn't sure if anything was going to work. Well, to be sure, after two weeks of heavy rains we have had no standing water in our yard. The water seems to flow across the yard evenly and efficiently. Hooray!!! I am sure there are many people out there who have beautiful yards but can't fully enjoy them because of water issues. If this is the case, call Benito's. They definitely know their business. My weekly lawn care has been great as well. The team that arrives is always courteous, does a great job and today helped me with an additional request I had right there on the spot. What's more, the office staff is totally professional and responsive. Any time I call with a question, I get an immediate answer or a prompt return phone call. This is a great company whose employees take pride in the work that they do. I highly recommend Benito's.

I hired this landscaper in July. I should've known that this was going to be a bad transaction when on Angie's list, the contact name is Pedro Jimenez. However, during email contact, "Pedro" stated that his REAL name is Zeus Carillo. I have proof of this email if any of you would like to see it. When I hired them, they stated that the work would be completed on the weekend because they are busy with their regular lawn work during the weekdays. They completed the work promised in a timely and fast manner. Everything looked promising, up until two weeks after. Soon a yellow nutsedge grass began to take control of the lawn. This nutsedge had existed prior, and they failed to remove the top layer of soil when installing my lawn. After many email contacts, they came by and admitted fault. They sprayed the lawn with Sledgehammer, and promised to come back in 4 weeks to respray the lawn. That was the end of it. They never lived up to their follow up promise, and they are now ignoring all my emails and phone calls. I have attempted many email contacts with them with no success. I paid a good amount of money for them only to do a poor job on my lawn. I am in the process of taking them to court. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!! Save your money and hire someone else!!!

They maintain our lawn and vegetation. They have trimmed our trees and adjusted our sprinklers. They do what they say they are going to do.
