Description of Work: Oz came to inspect out attic for rodent infestation and cleaning. He was on time, super polite and professional and very helpful with advice. We would definitely use Atticare again if needed based on our experience with Oz.

Description of Work: Attic Master removed the old insulation which had debris that had fallen when a new roof was installed. They sealed off the house and worked diligently until the job was completed. In the process, they vacuumed the attic, sanitized and sealed it. | |I would hire this group again.

Description of Work: We had a rat infestation in our attic for months. We know this because we heard their scratching and moving about. This was not a new thing for us because we are in a semi rural area with lots of trees and in the past we had attic entry points sealed by another company. When we could no longer ignore the problem we researched companies which would sanitize the attic and make sure that all entry points that were not otherwise taken care of would be sealed. This was a big undertaking to the tune of $7000. The price seemed fair when compared with other companies which do this work. But still...$7000 makes a considerable dent in one's emergency savings account. | |The Attic Guys crew which initially came to our home were likeable young men. Sanitizing an attic is a dirty job, and they seemed to be on task, and at the end of their task I thanked them and wished the well. | |The problem arose when we had an air conditioning person go into our attic two days after the so called finished project of sanitizing attic. He said that he did not want to get anyone in trouble, but he showed us photos of rat feces, lots of them, which remained in the attic, an air conditioning duct which had been crushed, and insulation, which replacement had been contracted for, that had not been replaced. | |Further inspection showed that there were still attic points which had not been screened off as per contract. | |Bottom line, had our air condition person not gone into the attic we would not immediately have known that this was an incomplete and shoddy job. | |The positive in all of this is when I contacted the company with my concerns, they immediately acted to rectify the situation, sending another crew out the next day. It took the second crew two more days to complete what was contracted for. | |So an A for standing by their Warrantee, and that means a lot, but what can I say about the initial service which was a disgrace and would not have been immediately revealed had it not been for our air conditioning guy? |

Description of Work: Cleaned/removed attic insulation, rat infestation. Closed off access points, set traps. A little nervous when they first arrived due to workers seemed very young. Never met a harder working bunch of young men. They were friendly, fun, easy to be around. Very hard work on a very hot day to be up in an attic. In spite of employer providing only minimal protective wear and somewhat outdated equipment, they managed to get the job done and hauled away all debris. Employer should have sprung for their lunches as they didn't bring lunches and had no way of going out for lunch so I fed them (not enough) as best I could from my fridge. They left at dusk so I hope the boss fed them an adequate dinner before they left for the next job. Thanks, guys!! I wish you all the best!!

Description of Work: We bought a house that had a long term rat problem. All the insulation in the attic really had to be replaced because of years of infestation. I got a couple of quotes/bids from pest control companies, but the Attic Guys were the most comprehensive in terms of what they proposed to do: tear out, clean out, replacement with highly-rated environmentally friendly insulation, pest extermination, pest exclusion, securing the house from re-entry and the price was very good. They did an excellent job overall. I have to ding them a little on quality of work because they used a lot of expanding foam to fill in possible entry points into the house and in some cases, the yellowish-white foam was left in highly visible locations. But much to their credit they were very responsible in cleaning up the finished look of it once it was brought to their attention. They were true professionals and I would recommend them to a friend or hire them again.

Description of Work: I was disappointed in my overall experience with Attic Guys. Seeing the good reviews and ratings on Angie's List, I thought they would be a great company to replace my old attic insulation. Ron came out and was very professional and courteous, but his quote of $4387.50 seemed extremely high for my 1300 square foot attic. He applied a discount (not sure what for exactly) of $942 to bring the price down to $3445.50 which still seemed high, but I trusted I would get premium quality service. I set up an appointment for the job to be done the following Friday. The crew showed up within the promised time frame. Lenell was the lead and was very friendly and professional. They went right to work and cleared the attic of the old insulation within a few hours. Then they took a lunch break, but did not get back to work for a couple more hours. Finally Lenell explained that the truck that was supposed to deliver the insulation had been in a collision and he had just been notified of that. He said they could return the next Tuesday and would have the insulation with them to finish the job. He also said his boss would upgrade the insulation from R-30 to Ecobatt R-38 to compensate for the delay. I was a bit surprised by that because I was under the belief I was already getting the best insulation with the price I was being charged. Then he said his boss wanted me to pay half the quoted price right then. That seemed ridiculous, so I declined. I arrainged to have them return the following Tuesday between 8 and 10 am. At 10 am on Tuesday I called their office to ask why no one had shown up. Ashley answered the phone and said she didn't know why they weren't there and she would find out. She called me back about 20 minutes later and said there was a problem with the insulation supplier and they had gotten the wrong insulation. She said if they could get the right insulation they might be able to make it to my house to finish the job in about four to five hours. That was not a good option for me, so I arrainged to have them come out on the following Thursday. Ashley said her boss offered to take $100 off the installation price for the inconvenience which seemed a bit insulting given all the troubles I had to put up with. The crew came out and finished the job on Thursday within the time frame promised. Again, Lenell was very courteous and professional. He asked for payment, but I explained that I had been promised a discount, so I would arrainge the payment later. After explaining to my wife all that had gone on, she said she would call Attic Guys and work out the payment. She contacted them and explained that a $100 discount on the price we were to pay after all our troubles was a bit unsulting. They were only able to increase the discount to $150. We will not be recommending Attic Guys to anyone.

Description of Work: I have a house built in 1973 with the original batt insulation which is in very poor shape. I found Attic Guys on Angie's list. Ron J. came out to give me an estimate. Ron was on time and very friendly and courteous, and my mom was visiting and he kept calling my mom "mom". My mom loved him! He was very professional and thorough. He actually climbed up in my attic to do an inspection and measure the square footage. Another company I called out from Angie's list didn't even go up in my attic. They just looked with a flashlight. Ron emailed me an estimate that was detailed and professional. When he was at my house he talked about my options and the difference in price for those options. I decided to use Attic Guys because of Ron's knowledge and professionalism, but I also really liked that they specialize in attic cleaning. They specialize in attic cleaning and decontamination, along with insulation installation. I wanted all the old insulation removed and the various debris from a roofing job performed for the previous owner. Attic Guys removed all my old insulation, cleaned, picked up various trash and debris and vacuumed my entire attic with a HEPA filter vacuum, and sprayed a disinfectant/fungicide/germicide, 1500 s.f. for $1,755.00 When the crew came out to do the work I was very impressed. When Ron was at my house for the estimate he was very careful with his ladder and wore white slip on booties over his shoes to protect my floors. The crew that came to perform the work continued to impress me. Lenell M. was the project supervisor and he was just as nice, courteous and professional as Ron. Lenell's crew covered my walls and furniture in plastic and put down construction paper to protect the floors, and made a tunnel for his crew to use while performing the very dirty, dusty job of removing 40+ years of dust and grime from my attic. They were very careful with everything in my house, and wore white booties or just socks to protect my floors until they got the construction paper on the floors. The crew worked extremely hard and did a fantastic job. They used my bathroom while they were here and left it spotless. I can't say enough good things about Attic Guys. I have been impressed from the beginning, and I was very impressed with the job the crew did cleaning and decontaminating my attic. I am having some plumbing work done (pipes are in attic) before I have them come back out to install batt insulation in my freshly cleaned attic. I am going to request Lenell and his crew come out to finish the job. I highly recommend Attic Guys. Thanks Angie's List!
