Worked out pretty good. They were clean.

Provide estimate and explained process. Polite and professional but estimate was double expectation. The high quote was for removal - was told it's a difficult space due to low roof. Was not an issue for others.

The salesman who came out and gave me the estimate was on time and very friendly and knowledgeable . The workmen arrived on time, did a straight 8 hour day on the cleaning and insulation replacement, then returned the next day to build the decking. $304 They cordoned off everything w/plastic, covered the floors with paper and left the house looking almost cleaner than before they came! Even though they had me walk though my house after the first days work to make sure that all ceiling lights and outlets worked and no wiring had been disturbed, I failed to notice the lights and electrical plug INSIDE my master bath medicine cabinet no longer worked. I called and they sent out an electrician the very next day and repaired the problem. All employees, including the home office staff, were very friendly, efficient and helpful. Can't say enough good things about them! Very happy - and although it was a little more than what I was thinking I was going to spend, it was well-worth the money. They did a top-notch job!

When we are doing the termite fumigation for the house, the inspector noticed that there are rodent dropping in the attic. We call three companies from Angie?s List and Ron from AtticGuys gave us the most detail analysis of the problem and proposed solution to clean out and seal possible rat entry points in the attic. The price is in the middle of three estimates we got. The price is one thing, but it is the detail explanation on the finding and proposed solution that win out. The four men team from AtticGuys shows up on time, cover the area around the attic entry area (stair, walls, chairs, etc.). The crew removed and bagged the old insulation in the attic, vacuum the attic, spread cleaning solution in the attic, seal off three holes in the attic where the rat might have come in, and then place new insulation. They spread the cleaning solution once again after the insulation is done. The foreman kept us informed of the process and their finding in the attic. After the job is done, the foreman gave us a ?walk through? in the attic on what they did. The whole job took about 5 hours in a 1000 sq ft attic. Overall, I am very pleased with the service we got from AtticGuys. Although I hope we never have to hire them again for cleaning the attic (for the obvious reason :-) ) , I definitely will recommend them to anyone with need for attic cleaning. One quick foot note about AtticGuys: we have wood flooring in the house, of three inspector came, only Ron place a cover on our floor before put a ladder down so the ladder?s footing will not scratch our floor. It is that attention to detail wins our favorite on deciding on the contractor.

We bought a 60 year old house near the beach with a large yet very narrow attic - and the attic had never been touched after it was built. I looked and wasn't happy with what I saw - shreds of old insulation, old construction materials, and shall we say a lot of evidence of pests. We'd brought in pest control companies who set traps but did little else. We needed the old insulation removed, any pests removed, pest access points plugged, and new insulation placed. Ron J (AtticGuys) arrived on time, performed a very thorough inspection, and a very detailed quote. It was competitive in both time and cost, but we were really impressed by the focus of the company - just attic cleaning. The clean-up team arrived on time and proceeded to first get a sense of the job, install the plastic insulation barriers, gown-up, and get to work. And hard work it was - 2 days of cleaning, 1 day of insulation. The team worked very hard, removed perhaps 2 truckloads of debris (and yes, that pest evidence), and kept us informed of progress. They hit road bumps - three times the equipment broke down, requiring a delay as replacements were brought; they needed wait for 'small guys' to hit all corners of the attic (they were originally noted for our home but somehow assigned elsewhere) - but they continued to work hard. The road bumps required them to spend an entire extra day (it was estimated 2-3, ended up requiring 4). A job like this results in damaged ceilings (unavoidable - don't let anyone tell you otherwise), but it was relatively minimal - perhaps 6 ceiling cracks and 6 cracks in the plaster around ceiling lights - and they did a very good job in repair, patching, sanding, painting (be sure you have a spare can of ceiling paint). They also found and plugged access points to the attic. In short, these guys know what they are doing - they only do attic cleanup, and they are good at it. Be wary of the pest control companies bidding on this - they know pests, but there's a whole lot more to attic cleanup than setting traps, and experience counts. - Overall: A - Main phone: A (always someone there, live, to answer phone, answer questions) - Appraiser: A (Ron rocked it) - Clean-up Team: A++ (professional, focused, committed, hard working, can't say enough for these guys) - Logistics: C (equipment breakdown; special staff availability; negotiations required to have clean-up team remain on site for repairs, rather than coming back later) (it was the the the cleanup team made it work regardless that made it work)

It went well on time, systematic.

Polite, highly professional outfit, the agent was very thorough and knowledgable. I really liked the product offered, the eco friendly rolled insulation. Unfortunately, due to how busy they were, they couldn't get to us sooner than two weeks and we didn't want to live with the critters.

OK, this is a three tiered company. First there is the main office, which handles billing, scheduling and communication. They do an excellent job. Second is regional project manager who actually comes out to the house to see the proposed project and writes the estimate. He (in my case a man) tasks the workmen. More on this step later. Finally, there are the actual workmen who got the job done. Again, no complaints at all. These guys were on time, clean and efficient. They even went the extra mile and closed a hole in my roof I didn't even know was there - for no additional cost. The project manager is really the weak point that causes me to not give the company an 'A.' Although he was perfectly pleasant, I don't feel he did a great job communicating exactly what I needed to know. For instance, I was under the impression that 11" of cellulose was going to be used to achieve the R-30 we wanted. If the workmen are to be believed, we got it done with less than 5". The manager's inspection was fairly cursory. For instance, he failed to notice that I have 2x4 joists, not 2x6, which is something I think he should have noted. Furthermore, he never sent me an estimate as promised, and I had to call the office to get it. On a relative scale of contractors, he was fine, but I definitely felt like I was just one more job he was trying to put on the books quickly. I actually have a few tricky issues in my attic, I could have used a little more attention and problem solving. Still, the lack of attention to detail is offset by the speed and efficiency of the company as a whole. They routinely got back to me very quickly and set up the appointment as soon as I was ready. I don't think you would ever have to 'hurry-up-and-wait' with these guys.

Attic cleaning and old insulation removal went very well. Alot of debris from a previous roof removal was thoroughly removed and vacuumed out. Very hot and dirty work. New R30 insulation installation went well as did the new ducting . But the ducting turned out not to be R6 which is what the city of Poway required and some install corner cutting was noted by an AC technician that was inspecting the furnace operation. After contacting Attic Guys a return visit was scheduled. They showed up promptly, removed the wrong ducting and installed the proper R rated ducting. Also this time additional insulation was installed covering the metal vents and air distribution manifolds. Looks alot more professional and efficient. Cleanup was a big job and handled well. Bottom line is I would certainly use them again for attic cleaning but leave any ducting installation to the AC pros.

Ron from Attic Guys came out to look at my attic and gave an estimate of the work and cost. Ron was very professional and easy to talk to about my plans for the attic. On the day of the job the crew arrived at the time I was told and immediately got to work. The crew was very professional and really nice guys. My house is less than 1000 square feet and the guys closed off the hallway with plastic on the walls/doors and paper on the hardwood floor in the hallway to the front entry door. They came in with large hoses and within a relatively short time vacuumed out the attic debris. They sealed off any rodent entry points, and cleared out their work equipment. They left my house without any leftover job messes. overall I like the crew and saw that they really knew how to do a great job. I am really pleased. I will call them back to put in new high quality insulation.

I just called the number provided on the Angie's List website. I wanted to receive a bid on replacement of attic insulation so I asked to speak to the company representative provided on the website. The lady I first spoke to patched me to Jon, who did not appear to have the time to speak to me. He abruptly stated that I should just call the other number back? This seems very unprofessional to me, so we will move on down the list of Angie's List recommended installers. Joe

All the young men were very pleasant. They were prompt, professional, and wasted no time. They protected my home, which is completely furnished and has wall to wall carpeting, by covering furniture with plastic sheets and by using protective covering on the floor. They closed off the space below the attic entry with plastic to eliminate dust and debris from escaping into the house. The huge vacuum machine that was used from their truck was very loud, and I wish I had advised my neighbors of the work in advance. But the vacuuming part of the operation was over soon enough. No partial payment was required for this job, and I was assured I would not have to pay until I was completely satisfied, which I am.

First of all, I would like to point out that the two crews that visited our residence were very hard working individuals. However, the second phase of our contract (the installation of new blow-in cellulose insulation), was not without a couple of problems. The crew initially had no idea on how to install the aftermarket soffit vent pieces (essential for keeping blow-in insulation from plugging up the soffit vents that keep air circulating in the attic space). I attribute this 100% to the Company providing little or no training assistance of their crews in this area of attic insulation practices. Also, the second crew (installing the new blow-in cellulose insulation), arrived without all the materials to complete the job (ie. insulation wrap for our water pipes that run in the attic space, no aftermarket soffit vent pieces, and no covers for the overhead can lights - that were not IC rated. Again, this information should have been provided to the crews providing these services when the initial sales tech came by and measured our attic space to provide us the initial quote (indicating that our attic joists were 24" on center and how many soffit vents we had in the attic). Either this information was not provided to the work crews or was not taken initially upon first inspection of our attic. The initial sales tech did note the extra cost to wrap our water pipes in the attic, but the crew failed to bring the pipe insulation when they initially arrived. Luckily, I had purchased the pipe insulation in advance and they installed what I had bought. Again, the both crews were very hard working and would definitely give them an "A" for effort, but recommend you do your homework and know exactly what you want them to do...and make sure that they do it correctly before signing off on your attic project.

We treated ourselves to attic spaces we not only wanted to go in, but also smelled nice. The crew was professional, efficient and did a nice job.

had an issue with rats in my attic. ron came out and did an inspection, gave us a quote and we set up a date to have the work done. on the day of service, six guys showed up to remove old insulation and ducting, vacuum and remove all debris, and to decontaminate the attic. then to put in new ducting and insulation. they were all very friendly and polite. it was estimated to be a two day job, but it was completed in 1 full 9 hour day. lance did come out while the workers were at lunch to talk to me personally and see how things were going. clean up was done in a professional way, and could hardly tell that the job had been done. they did have to come back out to put up more wire in some critter entrances that were missed the first time. so far, very happy with the work done. just hope that we have no further rat problems. they do provide a 2 year warranty.

Responded quickly with a visit and inspection of work that needed to be done. You should definitely know the square footage of your home as their original estimate of square footage was a bit off. They showed up on time and completed the job in one day. They did a GREAT job of making sure that there was no dust anywhere inside of the house. They let us go up a ladder and look at the finished work. It was beautiful. We have already noticed a difference in how well the house maintain temperatures. I can see a difference in my gas and electric bill. As for the team of Corey, Phil OG, Cliff, Odie and Bruce!

They were very professional and did an excellent job at cleaning and sanitizing the attic and re-insulating with rolled insulation. Previous insulation was sprayed. 1,000 sqft attic took about 4 hours. I was very please until I realized half my home alarm system no longer worked due to damage to the wiring in the attic. Attic Guys were very helpful on the phone and sent out an electrician to fix the problem, free of charge. The electrician was able to restore all but one sensor where the wire was ripped from the sensor itself. It was recommended by Attic Guys that I have the alarm company fix the issue and they would reimburse the costs. After the alarm company replaced the sensor for $75, I submitted the receipt according to instructions and a week later received payment. Excellent service!

The Attic Guys gave us a quote that was equal to the AC/heating tech company's-- and the latter would only cover the duct work. The assessment and quoting process was very detailed and thorough. Customer service prior to our appointment was great -- very professional , with good follow-up. The team arrived on time, did an amazing job at preparing and protecting our house (even more rigorous protection than the photos on the their website suggested they would do). The guys were cheerful and energetic. They explained what they were going to do at each step along the process. They worked like dogs! The price came in exactly as quoted. They estimated a two-day job. It turned out to take two days plus three hours on a third day. The foreman was very professional, and took a lot of pride in his work, and in the company (I understand that this is a family based business). I am very glad that I found The Attic Guys and recommend them highly to anyone else.

It went smoothly and without incident, with the exception of alarm system wiring. They sent out an electrician to fix the system and offered to pay cost of replacement of the sensor that they were unable to fix.

The Attic Guys did a great job, from Ron's initial inspection and estimate to Lennell, Adrian, and Tyree's work removing, decontaminating, and installing the new insulation and sealing the entry points. These guys worked in difficult conditions and did an efficient, outstanding and professional job. A+ experience from my end.

The salesman, crew and office staff were professional, friendly and courteous. The crew was punctual and worked efficiently. During the course of the work, the crew stepped through the ceiling and had to return to repair it and repaint. The repainting took two calls to remind them and three weeks to accomplish because the first attempt was unsatisfactory, thus creating scheduling challenges. The cost was pricey, just slightly lower than the quote from Orkin; I was expecting signification savings. It did not include the insulation in and around the garage attic,, over which I was surprised and disappointed. That should not have been overlooked; the garage is attached. I paid $400 extra to get the old garage insulation removed, but felt no need to replace it. The total including the ducting was $7777.50, $6150 for the attic work ($6550) with the garage mix-up,, much higher than Orkin quoted. Overall, for the price paid I was expecting better performance.

They were willing to go up with that incredibly nasty attic! I like the way they were keeping an eye on our budget for the things we need and we didn't need. I'm very happy with them.

It made a huge difference, about a 10 degree difference in the heat. I liked the reviews I saw on them. They knocked out the work in an afternoon.

The receptionist said someone would contact me in 2-3 hours. They did. The fellow was very short and unhelpful. He seemed preoccupied. He asked me what kind of insulation I wanted. When I said that I didn't know, there was a long pause. He seemed irritated to have to explain the options to me. Obviously, I would never consider working with a company that treats me like that.

Our insulation is super old, and has seen rodents infest an area over one of the bedrooms. I knew we needed new insulation, the sanitizing part sounded like a great bonus. Little did I know, the estimate would be $700 for new insulation and $3100 for disposal of old insulation and sanitizing attic. Seems like it was way higher than the $/square foot others posted here. I emailed estimator back to let him know its out of range for what is consider reasonable, and he sent me a financing link. In the process of shopping other insulation contractors now.
