Chuck was very helpful in explaining what needed to be done and even arranged for the abatement company to come out the day before to remove asbestos. He was prompt in answering my calls and questions. Mike and John were efficient in doing the work and completed it in the promised time frame.

It was probably around 7:30 we called because no one had shown up (spoke to a recording). Very shortly thereafter my husband received a call from Adrian that he would be here in about 20 minutes. He showed up and got the heater thermostat and heater working for us (it was wired incorrectly by us). My husband was very impressed with Adrian. I was very impressed that he was still working so late. We are thrilled to have the thermostat and heater working again.

10-09-13 The estimate was handled in a professional manner. I later went on the internet and this company had very bad reviews. I had two (2) other companies come to the house for estimates. Both companies' estimates were $3,000 less than Associated H & A, installing the same equipment. I have decided to use another company.

After 21 years, it was finally time to replace my central air. The condenser was extremely loud and the airflow sub-par. My neighbors across the street did a thorough search and decided to go with Associated Heating and Air based on the system they offered, the price, and reviews. They were extremely happy with it, and the installation. A month later, my other neighbors installed the same system with the same company. Based on this, I decided to do the same. I called Associated Air and Heating to schedule a quote appointment. The typical sales person came out, tried to sell me on a more expensive system (basically doing his job), but I settled on the same one my neighbors had installed. We scheduled the installation. This is where the magic happened. The two installers showed up on time. Both were very nice, very professional, extremely competent. They removed the old system, cleaned everything underneath and proceeded to install the new system. They replaced the exhaust duct, cut new piping, and wrapped everything up professionally. I very much appreciated their eye for detail (I'm a product designer myself) and the final product looked like a catalog cover. They cleaned up their mess, loaded the old system up, installed a new thermostat, and took me through operating the system and maintenance. Everything went perfect. One week later, I received a follow-up from their company to see how everything went and if I was totally satisfied. Needless to say, I was. Great company, great installers. I'd highly recommend them. In fact, I just gave their card to my other neighbor.

My tenants called me because the A/C system did not work (June 28th's temperature was in the high 90's in Anaheim and it was a Friday). My tenants begged me to fix the AC system that day so that they would not spend the whole week-end in an unbearable heat). My usual A/C person was booked up for the day. So I looked for another A/C company from Angie's list: Associated Heating Air, who told me that they could come by 4pm that day. I accepted. Meanwhile at around 11am, my usual AC person called me to let me know that he was able to make it and would it be ok if he stopped by my tenants' home. I thought 11am instead of 4pm (it was excruciating hot that day). I said sure. By noon my usual guy called me to give me the diagnosis and cost. I told him to go ahead and fix the AC system. As soon as I hung up, I called Associated Heating Air to cancel. A man answered the phone. When I gave him my name and scheduled time, he responded "oh. Here you are." (I guess he found my name on his list of scheduled calls). I told him that I was cancelling because the problem had already being fixed. He paused for a moment but eventually said "OK. have a nice day" Later on that evening, I got a voicemail from Cheryl with Associated Heating Air asking me to call her back. I had just missed the call. I called right back and the woman on the phone did not have a clue why I was returning her call. I explained to her that I had scheduled a call for 4pm that day but I had cancelled at around noon the same day. She replied, "It does not show that you cancelled". I told her that I called and a man answered (blah blah blah this story is long enough I am not going to repeat myself). she then asked "would you like to reschedule?" I told her "no, the problem had already been fixed". she replied "ok. Have a nice evening." On July 3rd, first thing in the morning (as every morning), I checked my checking account and an $89 debit charge from Associated Heating Air was posted on my account. I was furious. I was thinking "they are charging me a fee for their lack of organization. I was professional. I did the right thing, I cancelled right away. Then when they called me later, I called back. It is not my fault that the person I had on the phone was clueless and they don't have it together. I first called my tenants to ask them if anybody with Associated Heating Air stopped by their home on June 28th. They told me that someone from Associated Heating Air called but they told them that the problem had already been fixed and they didn't need to come. My tenants confirmed to me that nobody showed up at their home. I called Associated Heating Air and Rita answered the phone. I explained everything chronologically. She seemed empathic and told me that she was going to research it and would call me later that day. This was 10 days ago, I am still waiting for her call. I will not die because I lost $89, but I am very disappointed that such an unprofessional company could be listed as one of Angies list's best. I have lost my trust in Angie's ratings. They were not just unprofessional; this is plain theft. They took money for work they did not do. Heck, they never set foot at my tenants' home.

As soon as the man entered our house, I mentioned that I was interested in a dual system. Man stated, "Well, if your interested in a dual system, I will not waste time for eith of us" and he headed for the door. I mentioned that I would like to get his advise. He said his company does not dual dual systems. He told me his company only uses one company for air conditioners adn heating systems. When I asked him about getting two distinc cooling systems, one for upstairs and one for downstairs, he went to look at my electrical box and said we would not be able to do it. "Don't have enough room for another panel." I felt that he was trying hard not to get the job. We had two other companies that recommended a dual system and I had called the residences that had them installed. I was given glowing recommendations. The other companies that I had come out gave me several recommended manufactors of heating and airconditioning units and we were able to research them and make a choice. All of the other companies that we got from Angies list that came out to bid, called us after they came out with a follow-up call but we never heard from Associated Heating and Air after their initial meeting.

He did a thorough maintenance check on my air conditioner. I had a problem in my AC years ago and I want to make sure that it won't happen again. They made a thorough check up on the air conditioner system.

It went excellent. They were referred to me by a colleague. The company was very friendly and kept all their promises when it came to the work. I have used them several times and would continue to use them.

Associated Heating & Air are very professional, they got the job done. They did miss a couple of minor things that were of no real consequence. I will keep using them and I have been using them now for 2-3 years, they replaced my central heating and air system 2 or 3 years ago.

I read about rebates from Southern California Edison and found a list of installers that were approved by SCE. I contacted Associated and 3 other contractors and liked the quote that I received from Associated. I decided on a Lennox furnace and air conditioner to replace our 33 year old Lennox air conditioner which just died. After reading reviews on Angie's List about Associated, I saw that I could purchase through Costco and still have Associated do the installation. I contacted Associated and Costco and had the quote rewritten such that the purchase was from Costco. Doing this saved about $400.00. The savings is in the form of a Costco Gift Card and 3% back on the purchase in rebates from American Express and the Costco Executive Membership. The air conditioner is a 5 ton rated at 14 SEER. I had a furnace installed that has a dc motor which is supposed to be 331/3% more efficient because I wanted to be able to run the furnace fan continuously at lower cost than my old furnace. The furnace combined with the air conditioner and condenser is rated at 15 SEER. The cost from Associated is just a little more than a 13 SEER Lennox system quoted by another contractor. The installation took the two installers a whole day. They removed my old furnace and air conditioner. The new air conditioner was relocated around to the side of the house from under our kitchen window. All furnace registers were replaced with bar type which are adjustable horizontally. A second return air register was to be installed but it was determined that there were pipes and studs blocking most of the space where it would be installed. Instead we decided to make the existing return register 12" longer. This longer register was not a standard stock item and had to be ordered. The opening was cut out for the new register and a new 36" register was installed leaving a 12" open space. Two weeks later the new 48" long register was installed. A new digital thermostat was also installed. The installers were very professional and very polite. They did a very good job and left no mess or debris. They used drop cloths inside the house when they replaced the registers and vacuumed up any dirt or plaster chips from the replacing the registers. Associated Heating pulled a permit for this work and included the cost in the quote. All other contractors indicated that they would not pull permits, but that I could do that if I wanted to. If they were to be at the site when the inspector came to sign off on the work, then that cost would be extra. Associated Heating is taking responsibility for scheduling the inspection by the city and having one of their people at my house when the inspection is performed. The furnace and air conditioner work better than my old system. Associated Heating and Air has done everything that we had agreed upon. There is always someone to talk to when I call the office. The staff is friendly and courteous and easy to work with.

They provided us with knowlegable service people and we intend to get a yearly maintenance plan with them.

I would use Associated if the opportunity came again. I went with another service, but the comparison was extremely close and could easily have gone either way.

Being aware of the well-publicized poor reputation of air conditioning companies, we were very apprehensive to make a commitment with any of them, but knew we didn?t want to sweat through another hot summer. We joined Angie's List specifically to aide us in selecting a reputable company, and we were not disappointed. The experience with Associated Heating & Air was first-class?from the first phone call to their office to schedule an appointment for an estimate through the completion of the install. Salesman, Mark Harris, was prompt, professional and informative. He provided us with 3 options to choose from (Good, Better, Best) explained the products, gave us Lennox literature for each product and took the time to answer our questions. Mark never pressured us, even when we told him we?d have to think about it for a few days. When we called Mark with questions he, again, took the time to talk to us and never pressured us for the sale. Contract was signed for the Best system, installation was scheduled and installers showed up on time, clean and eager to work. They were considerate, and answered questions when they arose. They were careful not to make a mess and cleaned up at the end of each day. Just prior to completion, Mike, the lead installer explained how to operate the system and Adam took care of completing the paperwork and explained future complementary service. Working with Associated Heating & Air was a very, very pleasant experience.

They were prompt, clean and overall I was very satisfied with them. Their prices were very reasonable too! After that job was done there was one circuit that was not properly set, and when I called they quickly came in and fixed it without any problem.

My upstairs furnace unit was not working; even the fan wouldn't come on. I called Associated Heating and Air and made an appointment. Dennis arrived on time and was pleasant, polite, and professional. He determined the cause of the problem was a faulty door switch that was preventing power from getting to the unit. He fixed the problem and credited me with the Angies's List coupon.

I couldn't be more pleased with the installation and the service they provided. The installation took two days and they arranged their schedule to fit ours and performed the installation on a Friday and Saturday. Two different crews came out and both were very professional. At the end of the second day there were a few details to finish up that they didn't have the materials for. They followed up without having to call them and scheduled a person to come out one more time, again to fit my schedule. The workmanship was top quality. In fact, all my interactions with them was top quality. As I said, I couldn't be more pleased. I plan to continue to use Associated for ongoing maintenance. They have earned a devoted customer.

..Great experience. Little if any disruption to our household. No hidden add-on costs once work was in progress. Work was started and was ended on time. Owner and his staff were knowledgeable about equipment and installation, courteous, well groomed and took preemptive precautions to prevent any damage to surrounding areas. The owner even rebaited my mouse traps in the attic!

It went better than excellent. It went beautiful. Previous furnace people said that I needed a new furnace and needed this and that repaired and wanted $5,000. This was like $67. He is the best furnace repair guy on the planet.

John, made an estimate on Wednesday 9/7, in the AM, with my wife at home. I asked for a detailed explanation that afternoon via phone. We agreed to proceed, the crew arrived on time Friday AM and finished approximately 4 PM. Some problems with tighten of quarters, but they got it done.

We were very happy with their professionalism, so much so that we purchased a service contract with them. They also gave us Angie's List discount, even when we had forgotten to ask for it.

The installation techs were prompt, dressed in appropriate professional clothing with name and Company. They took great care to keep our home free for dirt and debris by laying tarps everywhere. They coordinaged the removal of the asbestos duckwork and followed up on the thoroughness of the duct removal and recycle. They have always promptly called when the annual service was due (we purchased their 3 years extended warranty).

The installation was done efficiently with a consideration to our home by guarding against any damage to the interior and by completely cleaning up after the installations. The employees who have come to do the service have done all and more that was requested.

I called three heating companies to get a quote for a new heater. When I called Associated Heating and Air, I spoke with Rita and she was very pleasant and set an appointment for John to come to my house. John Brennan from Associated Heating and Air showed up right on time. After taking a look at my furnace, he climbed on my roof and enter my attic to check out my ducts. When he came down, he showed me pictures of my old asbestos ducts. Several of the ducts were broken or had large holes in them. He told me I could get a new heater and all new ductwork and save money by making my system more efficient. After the other two companies came and gave me quotes. I decided to go with Associated Heating and Air. The installers showed up on the day we scheduled the install. The installers Mike and Ismael were very courteous and explained to me what the were going to and went to work. They were very neat and laid down tarps to protect my floors, which I appreciated. They spent most of the day completing the install and when they were finished they cleaned up their mess. Mike showed me how to operate my new thermostat. Mike gave me a packet, which he explained was a free tune up in one year. I was very pleased with the whole experience and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking a great Heater and air conditioning company.
