Our huge ficus tree was badly in need of a trim, as it has been growing outward towards my neighbor's yard and into several nearby electrical wires. Arturo has done work for us and our neighbors along the street for several years. Previously, he trimmed two feet off of our massive hedge and removed a huge hibiscus tree overtaking the back part of our yard. As has happened previously, Arturo arrived exactly on time with his crew of several workers. Within about an hour's time, they had completely trimmed the huge ficus tree, along with our smaller avocado tree. Furthermore, Arturo and his crew thoroughly cleaned the yard and driveway of all leaves and branches. Along with doing excellent work, Arturo is personable, courteous, and provides a very professional and competent service.

I got estimates from 5 companies for this job and am happy to have chosen Lopez Tree Service. I had numerous conversations with Arturo Lopez, who is believe is the owner. He was always cordial and professional. The price I was quoted was very reasonable and they did excellent work. The crew showed up as scheduled and worked neatly and efficiently. It broke my heart to remove the tree, but I had no choice. I appreciated that the crew, under the direction of Mr. Lopez's father, was very good about accommodating my request for some carefully cut cross sections of the trunk for a "memorial" project I have planned. The stump was ground down completely and they removed the roots in the bed of the sidewalk to the satisfaction of my cement contractor. Overall, it was a pleasure to do business with this company.

Arturo's crew showed up early so they would be ready to work from the agreed upon time. Took care not to allow damage to ground landscaping. One tree was a mess, wrapped around electric wires and cable/telephone wires right at the pole. His team knows how to work around that mess. Result was one nicely topped and pruned chinese elm. The other two trees had the same excellent result. At the last minute I asked for a couple of more limbs to be amputated that were leaning toward the pool, no problem. They cleaned up very well, used a chipper to reduce the limbs to mulch, and a blower to move the leaves and small debris to aid the cleanup. They raked and collected the mess neatly. I'll have them back in a year or so. Thanks Arturo!

Lopez Tree Service is AWESOME! Arturo came to the house to quote the work. He was punctual, professional, and very knowledgeable about all the trees in our yard. The trees looked beautiful when they were done. Lopez far exceeded my expectations. I would definitely hire them again.

We had a beautiful ash tree in a confined space right next to the south side of our house. It was approx. 50' tall, and growing like crazy. We had already had the tree trimmed twice in five years and needed to trim it again. It dropped all its leaves every fall/winter and dropped a multitude of seed pods every spring. During the drought it started dropping large branches. Felt bad, but we determined we needed to remove it. I called Lopez tree service and spoke to Arturo (son). He came by and provided an estimate of $1600 for removal, leaving the stump but cutting it down a few inches off the ground. (Given its location, there was no need to remove the stump.) That seemed like a reasonable price since we had paid close to $1200 in the past just for trimming. Three men, including Arturo (father) came one morning about 7:45 and got to work. One climbed the tree and cut it down branch by branch. The other two captured the branches as they were lowered by rope and put them in the chipper. They worked efficiently and safely. In about 31/2 hours they had the work completed and the work space completely cleaned. At my request, they left on my front yard a large pile of wood chips, which I am using for landscaping. I would point out that these three men, without an elevated work platform (cherry picker), did substantially more work in less time than my previous tree company's seven men with a cherry picker, who were just trimming. My only issue - and it's a small one - was that their truck had a fair amount of cedar mulch in it from a previous job. That mulch was unfortunately dumped with my wood chips. I'm using some of the mulch elsewhere but I've had to spend some time and effort separating chips from mulch. So, if you ask Arturo for chips, ask him to make certain the previous mulch/chips are removed from the truck.

Got three quotes from companies found on Angie's list. This was the middle bid. What sold my husband and I was the attention to detail in every step of the process. Arturo came to our house. He was so friendly and knowledgeable about our trees. He was the only bidder who told us that his guys would trim our prized sycamore tree without spikes. The work was done quickly and on time, for the budget promised. Really liked that Mr. Lopez came out to supervise the job. Clean up was swift and professional. The results were beyond our expectations!

Lopez Tree service was prompt and courteous. The owner came by to give us the quote and there was no deviation in price from quote to completion. The only speed bump was that they only accept personal check or cash and this is not indicated on any of their paperwork.

Arturo and Lopez tree Service are people of integrity. They follow through on everything they estimated. The job was done in very quick fashion and left the place cleaner then when they arrived. The crew was polite and extremely efficient. I would highly recommend them if you need any type of tree trimming or cutting down service. Arturo is very responsive and is willing to work with clients to make you satisfied.

Lopez Tree Service cut down a huge (150 feet or more) ash tree that was undermining a retaining wall and driveway. They offered a price $2,000 lower than another excellent tree service. They were able to offer the lower price because they felt they could do the job without hiring a crane, which the other company felt was necessary. The entire job was overseen by the owner to make sure that it was done safely and well. They came punctually, worked quickly, did the job exactly in the way requested, and cleaned up beautifully. They were easy to communicate with and courteous and professional throughout.

Arturo was very professional and nice to do business with, and he delivered on every promise he made. Arturo and his crew honored the appointment time, and they were on time. They did a great job and left no traces of what we wanted removed. I would absolutely hire him to do another landscaping job. I have used other services before, but this one is the best so far.

Excellent work. On time, worked quickly and efficiently, removed the tree from a tight spot without any damage to the house; cleaned up thoroughly.

Arturo responded quickly to my phone call for an estimate. His price was the best I got. On the scheduled day, the crew arrived and began work at exactly 7:30. I had 3 large chinese elms that needed serious trimming. They did a wonderful job pruning the trees but keeping their shape intact. I also had a large elm trunk leftover from a windstorm several years ago. They cut it down to the ground as I requested. Cleanup was excellent. I now have much more light in my yard. I would highly recommend Lopez Tree Service to anyone needing this kind of work. I will certainly call Arturo again when I need his services.

They arrived promptly at 730 am. It was a bit difficult to schedule but based on the reviews I knew I wanted to work with this company. We finally settled on a date. They thinned the huge rubber leaves and left a beautiful round canopy on this tall tree. It's really nice. They cleaned and mulched the branches and leaves as they went. They also cleaned the yards of my bordering neighbors to the rear and on the side - cleaner than before they started; so is my backyard, as they blew out all of the existing dead leaves that were there when they arrived. They were actually quieter than expected as I had warned my neighbors to expect the worst early on a Saturday morning. It was not bad at all. Throughout the entire scheduling to the end of the process, Arturo was completely professional and easy to talk to. I would recommend them highly. Because he is a licensed arborist, his approach was to preserve the integrity of the tree and not "butcher" it.

They did a great job trimming the different trees we had facing the street and in our courtyard area. Each tree was properly thinned and sculpted. They came out on time and gave a detailed estimate. The price was fair and they were willing to negotiate. They were very courteous and professional. They work was done on time and as promised. I recommend them highly.

From the beginning, I was impressed with Arturo. He showed up on time and did everything he said he would. He was very responsive throughout. His father and his crew descended on my property on a Saturday and immediately got to work. They did a great job and finished it ahead of schedule. I was not there to sign off on the work (because they finished the job so quickly), and when I got home, there was one thing that needed a little more attention. Had I been there, I am confident that all would have been completed in that one day. I called Arturo and he arranged for two workers to come by to do what was needed. He kept in contact the entire time and was so easy to deal with. I highly recommend him, his father and his crew!

I received a very prompt reply via Angie's List this morning. Usually, I believe this would have been the first response. I was surprised to have received a call last night from another Angie's List contact. He came out after dinner, gave us a very good bid, and we hired him.

Arturo and his crew were very professional. They did a wonderful job. They came at the scheduled time and even waited here for the rain to stop so they could do the job. Everything was done to my satisfaction. They cleaned up everything and even cleaned an amazing amount of old dead leaves off the roof. Arturo gave me some ideas to keep the bushes under control. Things I can do myself to keep it under control. I highly recommend Lopez Tree Service and will definitely use them again.

Awesome service from start to finish. Arturo responded immediately to my phone message, and happened to be in my neighborhood on a Sat. morning. Came out, offered a great price to remove a medium-sized grapefruit tree that had become a rat magnet. Great guy and very friendly. Made the extra effort and agreed to have his crew come out that same day! Only took an hour and a half--cut down, hauled away, and stump removed. Amazing to see these guys in action. Now my house is flooded with Southern exposure light, and adios to the rat parade. I really hate rats. Highly recommend this business.

What a fantastic family owned company. They were prompt and organized and offered a great service at a fair price. We have a very large lot and as far we can tell the previous owners never maintained the trees. Let's be honest, it was a jungle. Arturo and his dad, owners of the company, managed the project, and they were prompt and efficient with a great crew. I knew I had hired the right people when I glanced outside and they had put a tarp over the wooden fence so as not to scratch it up when they dragged large branches through. The trees look great and I will continue to use Lopez Tree Service to maintain our trees in the future

The crew came over after finishing their scheduled work in our neighbor's yard. (They were pruning a tree with branches that reach over our property). Their cleanup was meticulous and we were pleased with the job they did.

Arturo and his crew were fantastic !! I was extremely pleased with the work that they did. They arrived at 8:00 am and worked until about 3:00 pm. During that time they cut down a huge Mulberry tree that had taken over my yard and grinded up the roots. The machine that they used to grind up the stump & roots did not fit thru my gate, so they managed to bring it in thru the house without causing any damage. They were also very careful with all of my plants and did a very good clean-up job when they were finished. Aside from the Mulberry tree, they cut down a Yucca tree, topped an Ash tree, and removed an old stump. I feel that the price was very reasonable, especially considering all the work that they did. Arturo is a very professional and likeable guy who really enjoys his job and it shows. I have several more trees that I plan on cutting down and I will be sure to hire Arturo and his crew to do the job in the Spring. I couldn't be happier with the results and I thank Angie's List for helping me to find this gem of a guy.

Arturo, his Dad and their crew were great! I called Arturo for a quote after reading all the Angie's reviews on him. He ended up being my first and only call. He called the day of his site visit to say he was in the neighborhood with another job and if it was ok to come over earlier than originally planned. Coming earlier actually worked better for me as well so I said yes. He surveyed all the various trees I wanted removed or trimmed and was able to give me a quote on the spot. The pomegranate and crape myrtle were in difficult to reach areas since they were close to the house but he said it would be no problem to remove them and get the grinder in to grind the stumps. We needed them removed as we are planning to install some fencing and gates and both trees were in the way. The crape myrtle was also entwined with the neighbor's tree and was going to take some work to remove. I hadn't really done much research yet on pricing but with his Angie's discount, his quote was so incredibly low and seemed very fair for what they were going to do that I knew I didn't need to look any further. I could also tell that Arturo was just a great guy who cared about his business and was earnest in giving his clients the best. He was also willing to answer a few questions about the proper care for some other plants and shrubs around the house. I called him the next day to book him for a Saturday in 2 weeks. His Dad and crew arrived right on time, quickly unloaded their equipment, surveyed the various projects and got right to work. They completed everything in just over 2 hours; including removing an additional small tree and doing some additional trimming that I thought of after meeting with Arturo. They also removed a few small dead trees for my neighbor when he saw how great a job they were doing. They worked quickly and efficiently. Arturo's Dad is an expert at maneuvering that grinder into position to remove the stumps. They removed all the limbs and trimmings and cleaned up so that you would barely know they were there. I knew a little more would be added to the original quote for the additional couple of things they did on site. Arturo's Dad was very fair with both my neighbor and me on the additional fees. All in all, a really great experience with this crew and would gladly refer them to everyone and to come back if I need anything else.

When I called, Arturo returned my call the same day and since we lived not far from him, he came by that same day after work to give us a quote. He was prompt, polite and professional. We had a permit to remove a dead live oak and asked for a separate quote to remove the large palm in our front yard that hung over our neighbor's driveway and regularly dropped palm fronds from 60 ft. up onto their cars no matter how often we had it trimmed. He gave us a separate quote for the oak and the palm and explained in detail what they would do and how they would do it. His was the lowest quote we got and I liked him the best. So called about a month later to make an appointment. The crew showed up right on time, first thing in the morning, and went to work. They were done by noon. When they left, except for the oak stump pieces we asked them to cut for us to keep, you would not have known they were there, except the trees were gone. If I need that kind of work done again, I would call them in a heartbeat.

They were efficient, on time and did all the work promised and cleaned everything up when they were done.

They were great. They even let me split the cost over 2 payments so that I could knock the whole tree down vs just having the tree trimmed and let it continue to grow. They cleared everything out and left everything very neat and clean. I would definitely call them again. They were courteous, on time, and kept to their word. Thanks you!
