Shane and John are true finds. They made time in their incredibly hectic schedule to perform a service call on our gate opener. It’s not a brand they normally service or sell, yet out they came. (Was is the desperation in my voice, perhaps?) Our opener is two years old, had never been serviced (I didn’t know how to do it), and was making a pretty worrisome noise. In about 30-45 minutes, Shane and John had our opener operating more silently than a cat burglar (plus had installed two new batteries). They graciously and patiently educated me on how I could service the mechanism myself in the future and exactly what implements and lubricants I would need. Shane also provided a ballpark guesstimate of how much it would be to upgrade our opener to one of the quality devices he sells and installs, and explained, step-by-step, what the whole process would entail and what it would look like (and do) in the end. And, he did it with no pressure whatsoever. (In fact, I had to ask him!) I told him that if/when we decide to upgrade our mechanism, he’s got the job. A final note: Not only did Shane and John do a top-notch job for a price that was more than fair, they’re first-class human beings. Our entire transaction/interaction couldn’t have been more pleasant. I’m now looking for opportunities to sing their praises to others. Many thanks again to both of you, Shane and John!

took 1/2 a day and fixed everything right and found other things that was wrong and fixed it without charging me more did and excellent job. Very friendly and pays attention to details.

Shane at Rolling Garage Doors and Gates installed wood-look, insulated garage doors on our home. Our original doors were in poor condition and were improperly installed to begin with. We wanted to go with fairly high-end doors to improve the appearance of our home. Shane came to our home and reviewed options with us, and helped us select some very nice looking doors. The contract was clearly written and Shane made sure to stay in communication with us through-out the process. The most notable thing about our experience with Shane and his team was their attention to detail. Shane would not rest until everything little thing was perfect, even though this clearly meant extra time and effort on his part, showing a level of attention to detail, technical knowledge, and pride in his work that you don't often see. He also patiently addressed all my questions throughout the process. I wouldn't hesitate to use Shane again in the future.

Shane Dalton, the owner of Rolling Garage Doors, came immediately and provided an estimate. He returned two days later with a newly fabricated spring that exactly matched the old one, plus the other new parts. He finished in two and half hours and the workmanship was perfect. The job was complicated because it involved a 37-year old heavy partitioned wooden door that couldn't be replaced. Couldn't have gotten any better service.

Door is fine. Looks good. Works well. Installation appears very good. Contractor came when promised. My unhappiness, and the reason for lower than A rating, stems from having all the contents of the garage shoveled out into a heavy rain storm when I couldn't get the garage cleared fast enough to suit the contractor's time schedule. Extra time and expense on my part to salvage or replace the contents of the garage.

Shane was able to repair our garage door and opener. Opener would not work unless you were right by the door. He fixed this then showed us some other things that were going to need to be done. He was not pushy. It did not take him long to fix everything as good as new. We are very happy. Definitely would recommend this company.

My garage door wouldn't lock. Shane said he'd be glad to walk me through fixing it myself. I felt a little guilty, because I know this is how he makes his living, however he was so sincere about helping me. Since I was pretty bad at describing the hardware on my garage door, he suggested that I take a picture with my cell phone and send it to him. I did, and he called me right back. He explained the problem and walked me through the fix. I now have a working garage lock!!!! He was also able to explain to me how the garage door works, and gave me suggestions on how to extend the life of my door. He's been in the industry since 1991 and knows garage doors unlike anyone else out there. He is the best professional garage installer/repair person out there. I want to personally thank Shane for helping me, for FREE!!!!!!!!!! If you ever need any help with a garage door, do yourself a favor and call Shane!

Contacted Owner via message on here. He tried to call me but I wasn't available. I called back and we played a bit of phone tag. Finally connected and he came out same day, replaced spring, adjusted door and did an overall inspection! He was very quick but thorough. Made some recommendations on things we will probably need done in near future. I would use again.

Awesome service! Shane took a lot of time with me to discuss what he thought needed to be done and why during the original estimate. Once complete he took time to show me what he did and how it affected the system. Great service provider and I highly recommend his services.

Shane-owner contacted us within 24 hours of our inquiry. Set up date/time for inspection of and he showed up on time. Gave the area where door was to be installed a thorough inspection. Glad he did this so there were no surprises or hidden costs, showed places where more attention was needed and what I needed to move for the installation. Approx. two week wait for door to be made and shipped. Shane and helper Garret showed up on date & time set down and went to work. Very good efficient, he really does take pride in his work and finished product. Wife and I can't be happier with the results. The garage was cleaned and swept up, and then he took his time to explain and go over all the features for operation and maintenance of the door. They called about 30-minutes prior to arrival (within the appointment timeframe) to let us know they were on their way. All the work was completed in less than 1.5 hours. We originally purchased the $89 Angie's List Deal for the garage door tune-up and 21-point safety and service inspection that included the quiet roller replacement (one full set of ultra-quiet, 10-ball-bearing, nylon rollers). We paid an additional $417 for the additional parts that needed to be replaced, which was all clearly stated prior to them proceeding with the repairs. The warranty on the parts and labor were explained at the time of invoice and payment.

Everything went as planned and Shane went above and beyond. Our previous garage door was a train wreck. A mishmash of all different components that were not properly sized for one another. Shane set us up with all the proper equipment for the size/weight of our door. This new door is so quiet, you can barely tell its opening and closing. Seriously incredible!! Everything costed exactly what he quoted, no surprises. I'm one happy camper! Highly recommend!

My husband was at the home during the service and was very pleased with the courteous and professional services provided by Shane, the owner of the company. We have a 3 car garage with one large door and one small one. The work performed was on the larger door. Shane checked out the smaller door and provided some recommendations. Since the work was performed, the large garage door opens more smoothly and quietly. The springs on the large garage door will need to be replaced in about a year or so and we defintely will use Rolling Garage Doors &Gates to perform the work.

When Shane of Rolling Garage Doors and Gates arrived on Friday, 10/16/15 he very methodically examined the garage door. The problems we have been having since the door was originally installed, Shane proceeded to show us all the issues in detail and the safety risks of not being installed properly. His knowledge is impeccable and explained "everything" clearly. He offered a reasonable price to reinstall the the garage door and returned on Thursday, 10/22/15. He worked quickly and efficiently. Upon completion he explained viable issues caused from improper installation. As a consumer the aforementioned displays an integrity we appreciate and am thankful to have come across. But wait, there is more! We have a 20' long X 6' tall wrought iron gate and had a question regarding the chain. It is powered by a "Door King" and we had no idea until Shane informed it is the best you can buy. At any rate, Rolling Garage Doors and "GATES" is another impressive specialty! IF you have your property gated or live in a gated community we highly recommend Rolling Doors and Gates. Shane is awesome and fair. The one thing that really stood out with us about Shane, he genuinely cares about the families of the products he services for their "safety". How awesome is that?

Our door is 14 years old and still working. He did not try to upsell us, but to inform. We had installed an LED bulb in opener which is not a good idea, so he also alerted us to a potential problem.

Shane Dalton, the owner of Rolling Garage Doors & Gates came out initially to give us a consultation regarding some squirrely issues we had with a garage door opener that was installed less than six months ago by another installer & who the year before that had come out on a "big deal" coupon to lube and adjust the garage door and also convinced us to replace the torsion spring. During the consult ,Shane pointed out the stress cracks on the hinges, and noted that the torsion spring was inferior for the size of our garage door, and besides we had already pointed out to him that we got a garage door opener NOT like the original one we had thought was going to be replaced in kind with. Shane promptly gave us an estimate to replace the garage door and torsion spring, and even scheduled a date to install within 5 days of his consultation. Before he left he adjusted the garage door opener motor so that it would stop jerking along the train and so it wouldn't fail before he came out to replace the garage opener. On the day of installation, he took his time (unlike the previous installer) showed us how to work the control panel and the key pad. He replaced the stressed and cracked hinges, and made sure the door itself was "creak-free" before leaving. He was completely professional, and friendly and made sure that if we had any questions, to feel free to call him any time. Shane really came to our rescue, and put our mind at ease about the whole fiasco with the previous fly-by-night installation by a company that was NOT licensed by the CSLB. By the time Shane left, I felt like we have established a good business relationship concerning our garage door, and opener, etc. We both feel confident that if we run into ANY problems or concerns with the new opener or the new spring(s) that we'll be able to count on Shane to help us again. Shane does need a little help in keeping to he appointment time (or window of time) but once he does make it to his appointment, he will WOW you with his craft and skill and you'll quickly forget he was later than he said he would be. You have to keep in mind that once he starts working he doesn't just rip through your project to make it to the next appointment, he will make sure everything is working satisfactorily as he has a very high standard and pride on the work he does. I'll also say that when he didn't show within the appointment window of time he called to let us know he was running late.

They were on time and also called ahead of schedule to advise that they were on their way. They were very professional and advised that I didn't need the Big Deal, and advised that a spring that had been replaced previously was the wrong size and unbalanced. I found this company to be very honest and forthcoming and would definitely recommend this company to others.

Bought the Big Deal for the $89 garage door tune up and roller replacement. Well, a couple days after I bought the deal the Garage door opener broke, good thing I already had Rolling Garage Door already scheduled to come out the next day between 9-11 AM.... until he called me that morning of my appointment that he couldn't make it due to a double booking. OK, scheduled him to come out the next morning. He showed up on time, and informed me I had a broken spring and he could fix it for $599. He was very informative but a bit pushy. Being a much more expensive I told him to hold off an do nothing so I could get some more quotes. Called a few companies and finally had Delta Garage Door, another highly rated Angie's list provider come out and they replaced the spring and tuned up the door for $250. Didn't need the big deal anymore.

Shane & his team were amazing. Very knowledgeable. Took time to understand our needs. Explained our options in detail & worked within our budget. Excellent quality of work & outstanding result. We couldn't be happier. Highly recommend.

It was a very hot late in the day and everything progressed smoothly with a smile.
