+ 0 moreThe project went very well from beginning to end. Having work done at a condo within an association watching every step can be stressfull. The JK Painting team satisfied & Impressed the neighbors, both members of the board. The were polite to everyone that visited to see their work. With confidence I highly recommend them for any home wall or painting repair. I look forward to working with them on future projects in my own home. Jason the owner, is direct and to the point, saving both of us time. His quick assessment of a project, took my breath away the first time, but this talent has become an asset I value most.
Description of Work: This is the second time I have used JK Painting for drywall hanging, mudding, ceiling repair, and interior painting. Both experiences were not just what he committed to in the contract, but both times, he spotted things that needed attention and took care of it at no additional cost to myself. The team always arrived on time. prepped the area quickly and more throughly than I expected, finished exactly on the day promised. He work is impecable. The first project I hired them for was in my home. I was so satisfied I hired him a during the holidays to repair the ceiling in a rental appartment in Mission Village. He was in and out in 2 days. This included moving the tenants furniture, covering everything including the exterior stairs and walkway to the trash, clean up after the job on both days. They even dusted the tenants furniture. The repair work was removal of the damaged ceiling and surrounding popcorn ceiling. Replacing fresh insulation, replacing drywall, mudding & appling a light skim coat over the entire area. Replacing the old florescent kitchen light fixture with 4 new recessed lights, and replacing the old dining room ceilinng fan / linght with a new one. Painting the entire kitchen, dining, hallway & living room ceiling and blending out the paint edging on the upper wall. They reset all the furniture & cleaned for the tenant. I have been very pleased with all my experiences with JK Painting that I will check with them prior to other estimates on my next project, window installation. I can only hope they have do this also.

+ -1 moreJK Painting Services painted the exterior of our house (built in 1955) and one interior bathroom. Jason and his crew were punctual, showing up on time each day. They obviously believe that preparation of the surfaces to be painted is more than half the battle and they were exceptionally thorough at it. This included power washing the entire house, removing all chipped paint and caulking where needed. One important advantage for the consumer is that the owner of the company is on the job site working with his crew and responds immediately to any concerns or suggestions from the homeowner. They didn't hesitate to do some extra things for us, washing hard-to-reach upper windows and installing new hardware on the front door and security dJoor. This experienced crew worked efficiently, including the cleanup when the job was complete and we are pleased with the result.
Description of Work: Washing, sanding, caulking and masking to prepare for painting exterior of the house including stucco walls of patio and wooden fence bordering property line on one side. Preparation and painting walls and ceiling of one bathroom. Painting exterior of house and cleanup upon completion of the job.

+ 0 moreMr. Kleiman provided an estimate on short notice. His price was not much more than the price we paid in 2007 to a different company. Mr. Kleiman fit us into his schedule to meet our timeline. He brought in the truck and supplies the night before the job began. The crew arrived promptly at 7:30 AM and Mr. Kleiman set his team to work, taping and covering areas. They started on the doors and prep work. Everything was properly protected with plastic or masked off with tape. The crew sanded all the wood trim around our 2400+ sq ft home (the noise was frightening to the cats and the wife didn't like it much either) and prepped the cinderblock walls. The windows, stucco and entry gate were protected well. We had areas where the paint had peeled severely and areas where the sun had done its damage. The painting was primarily done by sprayer but when necessary the crew used hand brushes to cut in tight spots. When the crew were finished, they cleaned up the area nicely. Our brick patios, furniture and plants were well protected, no drips or splatters on them. The paint on the block walls has a nice sheen to it, and the wood looks so much better. The gutters look especially nice. Jason also offered assistance and advice on some interior painting work we were doing inside the house. Had we stopped to think clearly, we would have bundled the interior work with the exterior work and had it all done at once. Mr. Kleiman delivered as promised, and we are quite happy with the end result.
Description of Work: Mr. Kleiman and a 3-man crew painted the exterior wood, trim and block walls of our home in one day, on short notice. The crew covered all shrubbery, masked off the gate, vents, stucco and brick to protect it. They painted 2 exterior door frames and window trim. They sanded old paint off all exterior wood trim and caulked seams. Painting was done by hand and by spray equipment. They provided all their own tools and supplies. They cleaned everything up before they left.
