The job was complicated by 40-year old plumbing and took much longer than Joe anticipated, but Joe patiently finished the job with a smile.

Joe was great, A+ would call again. I had called him to fix a clogged drain and a slab leak. Instead of charging me for snaking out the drain he gave me a detailed explanation of what I could do myself to fix it, saving me a good chunk of $$$. He was spot on, I did the repair myself, it was quick, easy and inexpensive. The slab leak was quickly diagnosed and repaired in a matter of a few hours. Thanks Joe, job well done.

Joe was able to stop by the same day I called. He didn't have the part needed (pressure regulator). I had no problem with him coming back first thing the following day. He charged a reasonable rate. He was pleasant and professional. I trusted him completely and will use his services again.

My wife had recently noticed that water shot out of the tiles around the pipe when she turned the shower on. I found Joe Romero, of America's Plumbing and called him up. Did you ever talk to a business owner and you just know you are going to have a good experience working with them? Joe was like that, I felt confident from the moment we spoke that he would be able to help. I told him about the water shooting out of the wall and told him that I guessed that he would have to tear out some of the shower wall to get at the cracked pipe. Joe told me that he did not think that would be necessary but he would let me know once he got a chance to look at it. We set up a service date for the following afternoon between 3-5pm but by 4pm the day of the appointment, Joe called to say an unforseen complication in a job had delayed him and that he would not make it to my house on time. I told him that it worked out well because that day was my birthday, that my wife wanted to take me out to dinner and his cancelation allowed us to leave earlier. Joe apologized profusely but I assured him that it would really work out better this way. We moved the appointment to the following day at the same time, 3-5pm. At 2:30pm, Joe called to say he was on his way over. When he arrived, he was clean, smelled good (!) and had a uniform shirt on that identified his name and company. I showed him the offending shower head and he quickly sized it up as a some worn threading on a pipe fitting that was just inside the shower wall. Within 30 minutes, he had repaired that, he had a replacement length of pip with him, which he installed and put the shower nozzle back on. He made sure to show me what he had worked on and made sure that the shower was working well and not leaking anywhere before he finished up. Please remember that I had given him the opening to tear up the wall and make it a big job but Joe did not do that, he only did what the job required. How great is that? He apologized again about having to reschedule the appointment from the day before, I paid him and he gave me an invoice detailing the work done and charges for everything. You would think the story ends there but it doesn't! As he was leaving, he said "Oh, I bet you thought I forgot!" and he handed me an envelope. I took it, thanked him for his service and showed him the door. Once was gone, I opened the envelope to find....wait for it, wait for it....A BIRTHDAY CARD!! Joe the Plumber brought me a birthday card! If I could have given him an A ++, I would have, please use Joe Romero of America's Plumbing, you will not regret it.

The man from America's Plumbing was quite professional. He explained that, for a problem like the one we explained to him, he'd start with the water pressure regulator. If that was ok, then he'd have to check the pipes, possible clogs somewhere, etc. But, he said he'd just replace the water pressure regulator valve. Then, if we still had the same problems with the noise from the pipes, he'd return and check them. since we hear no noise now, there's no reason for him to return. However, even with a discount for belonging to Angie's List, I still feel his work was too expensive. This is, admittedly, a rather expensive area, and repairman know it. One reason I reclutantly paid the amount asked is that the plumber did a good job. The valve had apparently been replaced once before we bought the house, and the work then was obviously quite shoddy. The only problem I think we should expect from Angie's List is that good workers will simply charge and get more money than the incompetent ones. But, if the work is done well, then no repair or replacement of the same item should be necessary for quite a while.

We discovered water dripping from the bottom of kitchen cabinets that seemed to be seeping down from the second floor. Joe came within an hourr of our call. The leak was difficult to locate since it was eventually found between walls and between floors. Joe explained every thing he was doing and why since it involved cutting drywall and using electronic leak detection devices. The multiple compartments behind walls werre a big challenge. Water had accumulated in couple areas -- all coming from a pinhole size leak in a copper pipe. Joe cleaned everything up and gave us references for repairing the drywall. He is very professional and polite.

He came and looked around. He was really nice and gave some great advice on how to fix the issue on our own. He quoted a price if we couldn?t do it ourselves. He came quickly and was on time. He was very helpful.

It turned out excellently. He came out right away and got the work done very quickly. The rates he charged were reasonable as well.

Joe came out at the promised time, and did the work for the promised sum of money. The leak was in the exact spot that he cut the hole, so we had less stucco repair to do after the job was done.

I called Joe on SUNDAY with what I thought was a leak in our wall from the outdoor faucet. I was replacing the house bib and when I turned on the water, it appeared that the water was shooting out from the wall, Joe came over and figured out that there was an area I didn't clean properly and the solder didn't take. He re-soldered my mess and everything worked perfectly. Joe is great, and I will definitely call him again for any of my plumbing needs.

We spent over an hour going from the meter to each problem and back again turning things on and off, checking repair connections in the attic. Very thorough sleuthing. In the end he told me how to go online order a new shower valve cartridge AND take all the steps to replace it myself!!! Problem solved. Amazing. AND didn't charge me a thing... which is something that would have happened in the '50s. I offered to pay for his time but no... Sounds odd but I am really happy a month later, to have a backed up sink in order to give them some real work.

We needed leak detection services at first. I called on Sunday and Joe didn't get back to me until Monday. Once I spoke with him he came out quickly and detected the leak. He then came out the next day to fix the slab leak. He jackhammered into the concrete, located the leaky pipe and replaced it. Luckily the area was confined to our hall closet and there was no water damage. He did leave a bit of a mess when he jackhammered the concrete. The next day he repaired the concrete. Joe did a great job explaining to me what he was doing and what the problem was. He showed me the leaky pipe and was helpful throughout the process.

Joe first came to give a free estimate - about two weeks before the job itself. He was friendly, professional and honest. He recommended against us having an undermount sink replaced and suggested reglazing which was a much cheaper option (Joe did not perform the reglazing himself, this was done by another company. Joe arrived on time to remove the old faucet. This process was done with minimum fuss and our sink was then ready to be reglazed later that same day. He then came back two days later (on a sunday) to install the new equipment once the glaze had dried. On the same day Joe also fixed the leak under the sink in our laundry room. Overall our impression of Joe from America's Pluming was excellent. He was polite, courteous, respectful and honest throughout the process. We'd have no hesitation in using him again, as well as recommending him to others.

It went very well. After having 4 different plumbers that took advantage of us to the tune of over $700.00 in wrong diagnosis and incomplete work, Joe found our problem, gave us our options, and fixed a very unique problem that no one really said could be done. THIS IS THE ONLY PLUMBER YOU NEED TO CALL!! He is a small business person that cares about his customers and takes pride in his work.

Joe answered the phone when I called on Thursday, came to assess the problem and give an estimate on Friday and did the work on Monday. He was a lovely man, very courteous and professional and helpful. He seemed very knowledgeable and explained everything to me, even as he was working. My 16 year-old son likes fixing things and watched Joe work for some of the time and Joe couldn't have been nicer about it. He described what he was doing and was very kind. My son was thrilled. I had had a problem a while back, for which I had called a different plumber and had asked about the leak in the tub/shower. He said he could do the job, but those valves are known to break easily when you try to fix them and it would cost me a great deal of money because they might have to break the tile on the wall, etc., so I decided to wait. Joe said that wasn't the case and fixed it with no problem at all. I can't tell you (or maybe I can) how lucky I feel to have found a trustworthy, honest and responsive plumber that I would call again in a New York minute.

When I called Joe, he was very responsive and gave me a estimate over the phone. I had him come out to give me a firm quote. He was prompt and stuck with his estimate. He recommended I get other estimates (which were all several hundred dollars higher than his quote). Once I made my decision, the repair was done quickly. He cleaned up well and did exactly what was promised. I would use Joe again and recommend him. His prices are much more reasonable than the "big guys" and he was very professional and did good work. I'll be using him again for my plumbing needs.

When Joe arrived he quickly assess the situation. He explained that one of the valves did not need replacing, since it was brass. That valve look as bad as the others, so he could have easily replaced it and just charged me. Instead, he advised against it. After getting into the job, he realized that the water supply line also need a changing. He did that for no additional charge. WHAT? Who does business like that anymore? Joe Does!

I would recommend them in the future.

They were very nice guys and they arrived on time. They could have charged us more than what they did but their price was very reasonable. This was a smaller job, but they have done other things for us in the past and they are always great. We were very pleased with them.
