Ploughshares Nursery

Ploughshares was fabulous. Jocelyn is the general manager there. She is a horticulturalist. She is very busy and it is hard to get her to come for a consultation. But she was fabulous, as well as the nursery. I can't tell you how terrific these people are! Jocelyn came for 2 hours, answered all my questions and gave me fabulous advice. She offered to do my irrigation timer. She was incredible. I am going to have her come do pruning on my fruit trees, as she is a specialist for this. She accomplished a huge amount of things for me in 2 hours. Her fee was $50 and I paid her in cash and gave her a tip. I felt her consultant fee was a bargain. I bought a lot of materials from them. They specialize in different tree types, especially in drought tolerant and edible fruit trees. They are a non-profit organization as well. They create job opportunities and training for low-income families. The quality of their plant materials is superb, especially their fruit trees. They are head and shoulders above other places I have been. They are not a full-inventory nursery due to their specialties.
