Jay did a a bathroom remodel for us a couple of years ago, and we were happy with the outcome. A few months ago, I contacted him regarding another project. Although the project was smaller than what he usually takes on, he agreed to help me with it and promised to stop by. However, after a couple of conversations, he stopped returning my phone calls and I was forced to look elsewhere for help. I can accept that the project was smaller than what he likes to take on; but I prefer to work with someone who returns phone calls and fulfills promises, regardless of the immediate payoff.

Jay and his team were great. He provided a very competitive quote, was reasonable in the work required to fix water damaged floors (including opening wall, replacing outside window sill that was cause of the damage, replacing damaged hardwood floors) and doing so quickly. My only feedback would be a bit more heads up when his guys would be coming by to do the work — it was sometimes hard to predict the exact timing. That being said, we were home 24/7 during the pandemic and we never specified specific time that we needed so it wasn’t a very big issue. We look forward to working with him and Green Star again

We had an excellent experience when we contracted with GreenStar to remodel our master bathroom. Jay was reliable, unfailingly courteous, and made every effort to make sure we were pleased with the outcome. And they were able to start work almost immediately (which was a blessing because we had just wasted half a year trying to work with a different contractor). I highly recommend their services.

I highly recommend Greenstar based on my experience with them during a recent bathroom remodel. First of all, after receiving many bids, Greenstar gave us the most fair and complete bid. It was broken down into steps that clarified what would be done and how much each section of the job would cost. There was a clear schedule and over the course of the job, someone was working every day so it was done on time according to schedule. Emil was friendly, prompt and a good communicator and facilitator during the entire job. He responded to my texts and calls (even on the weekends) and continued to check in during the course of the work. All of the hands-on workers: Oscar, Cesar, Jose, Andre, and Javier were prompt, friendly, polite, easy to communicate with and did excellent work. Oscar, the foreman, always went the extra mile for us: driving us to Lowe’s to get things I suddenly realized I wanted to change, asking me questions to help me think through what I wanted, and responding to all of my questions and concerns quickly. Whenever something unexpected came up, which is a given when remodeling in an old San Francisco Victorian, they had clear explanations of the issues and solutions that balanced quality with price. Some notable specifics were: leveling the floor to compensate for the slant of our home, and refinishing an entire wood floor when some of the construction tape left a small mark. Demo was smooth, plumbing went well, everything was installed properly, the tile job was done perfectly, and clean up was superb. I highly recommend Greenstar based on my experience with their employees, the quality of their work and the level of professionalism they all exhibited.

We hired GreenStar to do a variety of projects in our new house -- installing a wood floor, adding some molding, some drywall and electric work, and pouring some concrete to fix a drainage problem in our garage. We were very happy with the results, and especially impressed with the consistent high quality of the work across so many different kinds of project. Oscar's attention to detail was terrific and Emil was great to work with. Definitely recommend!

We hired this company to do some remodeling in our bathroom. Emil, the project manager was very responsive to my concerns and always punctual. Our bathroom was completed with all the proper permits in about 4 weeks. I would recommend working with this company and will hire them again in the future.

Two keys to any remodel job, the project manager and the crew. Jay and his crew were outstanding at all levels on our bathroom remodel. The thing that distinguishes Jay, the owner, is his style. He knows what he is doing, very easy to deal with, communicative and realistic. His crew did a particularly good job, cared about the quality of their work and made solid recommendations when we didn't know what to do. We have requested the same crew for our next remodel job. Repeat customer says it all.

I had two bathroom projects, and both went very well! Greenstar Construction was responsive and punctual, and understood what I wanted in the finished product of each remodel. I have been through remodels before, and have some knowledge of what is required in terms of fixtures, tiles, lighting, etc. This came in very helpful when I went to buy, on my own, all the finished items and have them ready for the remodels. Be ready to get involved with your project and locate the exact finished items you want used. If needed, Greenstar can point you in the direction of stores where you can buy your items. I am very satisfied with the final product. I highly recommend Greenstar Construction!

Recently I completed my bathroom and kitchen renovation with Green Star . These guys were extremely friendly, professional, showed up every day very early ( sometimes to early:), and finished working around 5 or 6 pm. They passed all inspections required by the city on the first try, which saved us a lot of time. The job was completed promptly and in accordance to what we envisioned. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants a reliable, detailed oriented contractor.

As a Property and Construction Manager of Commercial Medical Office Buildings, I have worked with many contractors. I contracted with Jay of GreenStar Construction to remodel my home shower. This was an excellent decision. Jay went way beyond the call of duty by driving me to the various stores to pick the tile and fixtures for the shower and for the new bathroom flooring. He worked with me to arrange to do the demolition when I was out of town. The staff that he hired to lay the tile was meticulous and extremely detailed oriented. The grout and the tile of the walls were laid out with all lines and seams perfectly matched. An excellent tile job! As a result of the professionalism and excellent quality of work, I have now contracted with Jay to refinish my Pergo floors and to remodel a second bathroom. I have also referred him to a friend for a remodel.

GreenStar construction is a great construction company to deal with in our experience with our bath room remodeling. Very professional in their dealing. They followed through meticulously at all stages to ensure the job is done cleanly and to our satisfaction. Jay( the owner ) is a great guy to interact with. He was recommended to us by a friend who is doing her kitchen remodeling. We got a very good feeling when we first met with Jay. He and his team started the job as per our agreement (in fact he was ready to start the work early but we were not ready on our end) and completed it ahead of the schedule. The workers he brought to do the work were very reliable, great to work with. They were also very flexible and willing to accommodate your schedule as much as possible (They worked couple of Saturdays to accommodate our schedule). Overall, we had a very positive and great experience with respect to our bath room remodel that included new flooring, painting, electrical and plumbing work. My wife and I had an absolutely excellent experience working with Jay and his team! Our renovation included: - Full bathroom renovation, including redoing all plumbing, electricity, shower, tiles and floor tiles. - Breaking a wall between the living room and kitchen (which also required a replacement of a weight-bearing beam) - Installation of two skylights - Replace flooring throughout the house. - Some specific touch ups. The work was very professionally done. We had excellent ongoing communications with fluent decision making, and Jay, Oscar and Julio gave us great advice when we needed it. The work was done *on time*, and everything was left clean and organized. A friend gave me the referral to Jay and I couldn't be happier about it and I've already recommended to my friends.

Great. We would definitely recommend Jay and his team. The work was very high quality, the guys were a pleasure to have in the house, they were reasonably priced, trustworthy and highly skilled. They turned up when expected and Jay took a lot of leg work out for us by bringing samples to us and using his trade connections to purchase items at a discount. Very happy to recommend them. We have further work to complete at a later date and we won’t hesitate to employ them again.

Jay and his team were very professional, they were promptly at my house every morning by 8am and finished 4/5, sometimes 6 everyday. They knock out a cupboard and replaced it with a shower, we did new tiles on floors and walls, crown molding, new tub and faucets, new vanity, toilet, vanity lights. They installed recess lights and a sun tunnel also. They were very respectful of my house, vacuumed each day and kept their work place contained. They were very responsive on text. The work was well performed and very quick. I would highly recommend using them for a bathroom remodel, I have also hired them for a remodel/addition.

We found GreenStar Construction online, and scheduled a visit with their representative. We liked that within an hour from our phone call, Jay the owner was able to come out and provide us with an estimate. We discussed different remodeling ideas, and we had a good impression of his knowledge. We appreciated that there was no pressure for us to sign right away, we liked the design ideas and we really liked the reasonable price Jay provided us for 2 bathrooms In the beginning we felt overwhelmed with all the different options for materials, Jay directed us and guided us through out the project, helped us sourcing out the materials and followed through with his promises. Initially we were worried about the outcome of installing small marble tiles on the wall since we were not sure about how it'll look at the end, but the crew was very professional, installed small subway marble tile on the wall, they made sure the tile was straight, they polished the edges and made it look very nice. By end of each they the crew updated us about the work that was done and the work that will be done in the following days. We are very pleased with Green Stars work, and we will recommend them to our friends and neighbors

Jay, Eddie and Alvaro were a great team to work with! They were hard workers and finished our project within our short time line of 2 months. Any issue that came up (as does with any project) they addressed it quickly and resolved it appropriately. We are very happy with our beautiful new kitchen and bathroom. Would recommend them to anyone! I have included before and after photos to review.

We hired Jay after interviewing a hand full of contractor and we definitely feel like we have made the right choice...they were highly professional always on time, they knew exactly what we wanted and the outcome was absolutely beautiful. Now we need to do a room addition and will definitely will hire them for the project

A first i hired a diffrent contractor and it was a mess he was late al the time not picking up the Phone it was absalutly terrible. Lucky for me I found Jay and his team anf it was a completely different experience they were highly proffesional the final outcome was beautiful and i Will defently Will hire them for my next project

I’m a real estate investor in the Bay Area of San Francisco, ran into Jay the owner of Greenstar construction in one of the job sites in my area. I was impressed with his work and decided to hire him to work on a home addition gor one of my projects. They started in November, and completed a week ago. They built 300 sad which included bathroom and kitchen in a in law unit. Very professional and very nice people. I will hire them in the future.
