American Electrical sent us the company's "best" electrician. I was the coordinator for the project. This "best" guy, during the middle of a workday, disconnected a live branch circuit taking down a string of computers. Then, he did it again by shorting out some other wires. His comment "oh, no big deal, just a breaker". The job also included computer networking wiring (Ethernet). The man was utterly clueless about network wiring. He was rough with the delicate wires. He did the easy work first (rather than the important work), acting very much like he was on a paid-by-the-hour job (which it was). At one point he lost a pull string, and decided (it must have been quite logical to him) to cut a second brand new hole to get the wire through. Then, he made a third hole. And left an extra hole in the ceiling. And did any of them get patched? We never found out because we fired the firm mid-job. While it disrupted the project, the new people were much better. The only good spot about these folks was: during the planning and design stages the owner was quite willing to ignore electrical code violations. That may be good or bad, depending on your exact situation.
Description of Work: For a small office expansion: wire office cubes for electrical, phone, and computer networking.

We had a bad experience with them. We didn't actually use them as they charge a minimum amount and use a flat fee instead of an hourly fee. They also offer a series of discounts after that and the whole thing sounds like a scam. Two people came out to give an estimate and while they were giving the estimate, I had a feeling that they were not very reliable. I also felt they are bound to charge me a lot and decided not to use them. They were punctual but not very professional and they made me feel very uneasy.
Description of Work: We had them give an estimate to replace and rewire the whole circuit box.
