concrete repair, countertops, stamped concrete

I want to start by saying I really like most of the work they did but I have a few complaints. First off I want to say that their communication to each other is bad. I met with the owner Buzz at my house to go over what I wanted done and cost. I wanted my kitchen countertops concreted over my tile and the concrete floor through out the entire house stained as well. I told him I wanted a matt finish which he agreed is better than the gloss. I scheduled them to start about a month and a half later. I texted buzz to see if he wanted to come over and go through the colors and stuff one more time before they start and he said no he will just be there to start on that Wed. He showed up about 8 and asked me to give him half the money down. It was a pretty good chunk of money so he followed me to the bank. After that I never seen him again. He had a worker come out for the first week and prep my floors to be stained. After that his son came in and helped out with the other stuff that he was more experienced with. I asked his son if he knew the color I told Buzz I wanted and he said no so I showed him pictures. Buzz told me this job will take a week now we are going on week 2. Like I said I don't want to bash them because I did like the work somewhat BUT when I came home from work I had cigarette Butts in my grass and chewing tabacco also on a daily basis in the front of my house in the grass. I didn't think that was cool of them to do since there was a trash can on the porch. Also they never cleaned it up I did. On the last day of the color stain that they were doing I came home from work and mentioned to his son that I wanted the Matt finish and he said UH Oh I bought gloss. I said didn't your dad tell you what I wanted and he said NO. I said that his dad also liked the matt instead of the gloss. He said that his dad always tells people that. At this time he already started sealing with the Gloss that I did not want. I thought I might be able to live with it after its done since he already started it. There again no communication. When it came to the end of the staining process they cleaned out the sprayer on my porch and it went everywhere on my white security door, concrete porch and walkway, down my driveway. I didn't see it till in the morning. I texted Buzz and he said he will have them come fix it. Never heard from them again. I texted him about a month later and he said he will send them out to fix it Plus I was having them make me a concrete countertop for a bathroom sink. Never heard from them. I texted a 3rd. time and they came over to bring me the countertop and look at the stain I guess. The stain didn't get cleaned up. I told his son I hate the gloss coat and the worker with him said I can put car wax or polish on it and it will dull the gloss. Also at that time the worker admitted they knew that the stain went everywhere when they were cleaning it out but didn't clean it up it was to dark. BUT they never came back to clean it. I told his son I'm having company from Australia and Wales that month so I will call them to do my bathroom when their gone. I texted Buzz to tell them a month later That the stain didn't get cleaned up and He said once again That he didn't know they didn't clean it up because they didn't communicate that to him and that the one guy is no longer working with him anymore. Buzz said he'd come do it even with a broken knee and I told him I didn't want him to do it if his knee is broken or hurt and he said for me to text him my address and I did. That was a week ago and still no communication from him either. I expect when you pay $16,500 to have this work done I EXPECT it to be done right. Lets go back to the gloss coat I did not want. You have to remember that we had to live in our garage or my son's house till it got done over the 2 1/2 weeks But when they did the gloss coat it was night time they must of had most of our doors open and lights on because it has dried bugs throughout the house and somehow rock chunks throughout the house dried in my floor. I don't understand still how the gloss coat got rocks in it to begin with but when we were finally able to walk on it our feet was getting scrapped by sharp rocks. if you kicked them some would come off and leave a white spot on the floor where it lifted the stain up also. I had to text him a few times to ask him to fix it. Finally I said just give me some extra stain and I will do it myself. I feel once they got our money they could care less what happens after that. Each one says the other don't communicate But neither of them do. They did the work in March of 2016 and we are now into August. I don't know what to really rate them as a business. Their communication to the customer and each other is horrible. If I would have known this before hand I would not of hired them. It takes to much work for the customer to get them back to fix the problems. If they would have just once texted me to say Hey we can't make it or whatever I would have been happy with that no matter how long it takes but to just keep getting ignored or the run around or excuses is not acceptable in my book we gave them to much of are hard earned money for that. I could go into a few more details but I wont I will just leave it at this.
