Everything from the bid process to completion of the job was handled very well. The owner of the company took the time that was needed to set up the job properly and listen to what we wanted. He then followed up with suggestions that were helpful to us and the process without increasing the cost. His crew were always on time and very professional. They did a great job and cleaned up the job site when they were done. The only evidence of them ever being here is that the house looks great.

I would recommend J&B Painting to anyone needing quality painting at a reasonable price. He assigned a 6 man crew to my project and they finished what would have been a week long project in three days. They were extremely clean, on time and very polite, and best of all, did a great job. I contacted J & B Painting for an estimate and Steve was very prompt in scheduling an estimate date and time. Steve appeared promptly at the time promised and did an overall evaluation of my needs. He was very thorough in his approach to determine my needs to have my 1690 sq. ft. home repainted in a timely manner. I was actually shocked that his initial estimate was so low ($3700.00). i agreed to hire J & B painting after having several other estimates given to me by competing companies. Some of the competing estimates were lower than J & B but the estimators were unwilling to provide a 3 year guarantee and were less than forthcoming about their contractor?s license status and insurance coverage. The paint crew showed up on the day promised and promptly on time, performed a wonderful job and even had added help the second day. This allowed the crew to turn a five day job into a 3 day job. The overall quality is amazing and Steve was there every step of the way to ensure I was happy with the quality and speed of the work being performed. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking to have their exterior painted, there are no disappointments from J & B Painting Contractors!

They are knowledgeable, co-operative and always on time but we were not satisfied with the work they did. We had oil based paint and they had to do the painting with the water based paint. They had to do all the work before hand correctly so that it is not messed up later. They didn't put the primer properly before painting. We think it doesn't look good after painting. We selected a higher end company, paid far higher for the painting than most of the other things but the work done was not good. The price was expensive.

It was an amazing experience. It was done in under a week. There was a double crew over the weekend and the men could not be more courteous and professional not only in their demeanor, but their work as well. The job is outstanding. I cannot say enough. At the end, our house as so clean, it looked as if no one had ever been here. J&B are BEST!

Great experience. Easy to talk to. Estimate was in the middle but had great connection with estimator. Helped with color choice. Workers were very professional and had great attention to detail.

Everything went very well. The company assigned 6 painters so the work could be done in 1 week as I was expecting guests. They cleaned after themselves at the end of every work day and the job was completed as scheduled

Bob came in and gave me an estimate to paint the upper floors of my new condo. Even though his estimate wasn't the lowest (one higher, one lower), his professionalism and references were enough for me to book the job. As a matter of fact, we decided to paint the lower floors as well. His color consultant was invaluable in helping us figure out the color scheme for the entire house. His crew came each day on time and worked tirelessly to get the condo ready in time for our move-in. The job turned out beautifully, and they promised to come back to touch up whatever the movers or other installers might scratch or scuff. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who asks.

Did a great job, my 1952 home looks new. Prep work was thorough, paint job was flawless, and the mess was nonexistent - even though I have plants 6 inches from the wall in some places, they didn't even drip paint on the plants. I was worried about getting paint on new pavingstone patios and driveway, but without saying anything to them they covered everything and I couldn't find a single drop. Got estimate on Saturday, started work on Monday, finished on Thursday. The crew was extremely accommodating - they repainted the front door and surrounding area when my wife decided she didn't like our color choice, and sanded another door to remove a distress texture on a spur-of-the-moment decision. At one point, they told my wife "if there is anything you don't like, just tell us and we'll change it". We ended up having the crew chief Ricardo come back the next weekend to do some wood staining around the skylights in our living room - he matched the color of our wood ceiling perfectly.

I received estimates from 2 different companies, J and B was the higher estimate, but I was impressed with their warranty and with the owner, Bob. He worked with me to compete with the other bid and I felt confident hiring them. His crew showed up every day on time and were very professional and accommodating. They even repaired a post on our porch that had some water damage. The crew made sure everything was clean when they left and they did a great job.

Bob was very professional and very personable.

They spray painted the home. They did it so quickly I was not used to this but it did get done quickly. They did an excellent job, they covered the windows completely so they did not get paint on them. I did notice they painted over the wires and I am not sure those needed painted. They were very well organized, when I called they were able to start the job the next day.

They were very courtious, professional, always on time, cleaned up after themselves and did a marvelous job.

Bob and his crew were great. Bob gave us an estimate Monday evening, work started that Wednesday and finished that Friday. All was done perfectly and neatly. We're very satisfied.

We were very pleased with the service we received from Bob. He returned our initial phone call within an hour & set up an appointment for the following day. He arrived right on time, understood exactly what we wanted him to do, and gave us a fair estimate. We gave him the go-ahead & his men arrived a couple of days later. They were very professional, cleaned up at the end of each day & we were very pleased with the quality of the work. After they finished painting the inside wall they replaced the furniture & even vacuumed the carpet.

the contractor was very punctual, gave us an estimate and informed us that he could start at any time. he projected the job to take 4 days. The painters showed up on time every day and finished the work in 3 days. they did a great job and were very professional. They did finish the work in the evening with somewhat poor lighting so we left the final inspection until the next morning. The next day we noticed some imperfections in the painted finish and called the contractor. the guys were back two days later to finish the job. Our master bedroom looks great. My wife and I could not be happier. Customer care is J&B Painting's number one priority.

They really worked with us in every aspect. They are very patient and attentive. They came back more than once when it was necessary.

Wonderful! We love using Bob. Their staff are friendly, and work so hard to get it right the first time, and really seem to take pride in their work. In addition to the original work we wanted done, Bob had part of our roof fixed, as it was causing damage to the ceiling in one of our bedrooms. Bob included this in the total price of the job. He always works with us on the price, and that's especially important now. We were so happy that the work was done quickly, and without having to evacuate our kids for days on end, during the last rainy fews days we had, as that would have really added to the general misery of discovering a big leak in the middle of a rainstorm. We always know Bob and his staff will work hard to ensure if we ever do have any concerns, all of them are completely resolved. That is why we keep using him, and are so glad he is our contractor.

Bob and his team lead by Frankie were wonderful. They were incredibly meticulous and very easy to work with. We were able to get several paint samples to test out before picking, which really helped. They were on time from day one and the time quoted on completing the job was right on. Our place looks great, and we would definitely use them again!

They were fast, neat, and very courteous.

From the very onset of the job: Wonderful. All needed areas were carefully covered, windows protected. The men proceeded in a very orderly manner, putting everything back in their proper place. Every evening the owner of the firm came to inspect and inquire as to our satisfaction. The job supervisor, a joy to have. The crew, methodical and extremely careful of plants, tying them back and protecting them from paint splatters. The clean-up thorough when they were done. I am so impressed that I will have them back to do the interior.

From the salesperson, Steve Berger, to the individual painters, Otoniel Tobar, Jeffrey Amaya, Luis Cifuentes, & Edmundo Cifuentes, my family and I were dealing with clearly one of the best painting contractors/companies in the business. "Refreshing" would be an understatement. I would definitely use this fine business again [and "again" assuming they do NOT deviate from the craftsmanship, work effort, and work ethic that we observed from day one]. A++++++. These guys were fantastic. I'm new to Angie's list, having signed up because I needed to find people to do various jobs on my house. I called about 6 companies (all from Angie's list), and they all gave me estimates for my painting and re-stucco job. It's not a particularly huge house (about 1700 sq. ft) but it has weird angles and sits on a hill with some tricky access. Bob came exactly on time, carefully went through the house with me, listened carefully to my comments, answered my questions, and immediately gave me quote. He offered the services of his color consultant, free of charge, which I took him up on, and even sent a paint rep from Dunn Edwards to my house to meet with me about the specific kind of paint that would be best for my house. Bob did this because one of the other companies from Angie's list tried very aggressively to upsell me to a much more expensive kind of paint, that would, in the end, have cost an additional 4 grand, and would have been disastrous for my house had I chosen it. When I asked Bob why he didn't try to sell me on the more expensive kind of paint, he told me he'd be happy to charge me the extra money to use it, but that he didn't think I needed it and that it might, in fact, be detrimental to the house. As a way to prove to me that I didn't need to spend the extra money, he had the Dunn Edwards sales rep meet me at my house to tell me what was best for the house and why. Bob went out of his way to save me money without compromising quality. I spent a long time trying to come up with the right color combinations, and the staff of J&B went out of its way to help me make the right decision. When all was said and done, they demo-ed over a dozen different color combinations on my house. And I even changed my mind one last time after half the house was already half painted. They graciously repainted without so much as a snicker or any hesitation. Bob was available by phone morning noon, and night, and because I work in the film industry, I occasionally called him on his cell after 10 pm. He was always courteous and willing to address whatever I wanted to discuss. The work that was done was exacting, efficient, and very professional. His staff worked in and around my house during the week while I was at work and no one else was at home. They proved to be considerate of my property and trustworthy. You may notice that I gave J&B a B grade for price. In explanation, I think they charged a very very fair price, but I did have a few lower estimates, some by a couple grand less. So, it was not the lowest estimate, but the feeling I got from some of the lower guys was a bit unsettling. I was also given some estimates that were almost double what Bob proposed. Bob and his team are fantastic and as far as I'm concerned, I'll never use another paint company. I would recommend these guys to all my friends and family without any hesitation or qualification.

I did not like the estimate that this company provided for me. The estimate was not well thought out and the guy just did one walk through and gave me a very high estimate.

They were excellent even though the workmen tend to be a little sloppy but they come back twice to touch up any messes to my satisfaction. They accidentally damaged a drawer knob in the process but took responsibility and repaired it also. They're great to work with.
