It had been 15+ years since the wood trim on the house had been painted so it was past due. J & B had the best ratings in our area and I can see why. Bob came out on Thursday and he gave us an estimate that was very fair. Bob and his crew were out at 8 the next morning. They did an excellent job of prepping, taped and put plastic over everything, including the patio and walk ways. They started painting Saturday and finished the job on Sunday. Very nice guys, excellent workers and did a fantastic job and cleaned up everything so beautifully you'd never know they were there except for the wonderful new paint job.

I wish that every service that I contracted with, an electrician, car repair, dentist etc, could have the professionalism and work ethic of the folks at J&B Painting. If you need painting of any kind, search no more, for you have found the best. I am a RAVING FAN of this company.

Bob agreed to begin interior on Monday July 4th which I liked since I wanted to get the job finished before the weekend. I think 5 men came to work and the job was done by Friday afternoon. They were careful and did the neccesary prep worke. My home is only 10 years old so the walls are in good shape I did have one wall that had a hole in it and he patched it up well. All pictures rehung, furniture moved, showed up on time. This is a company I have no problem in giving a thumbs up review. Bob is also a nice guy to deal with.

Steve Berger came out to provide an estimate, and thereafter provided excellent service from start to finish. Richard, the head painter who managed the crew, patiently provided as many samples as requested (we picked a medium grey after seeing 5 different shades). Bottom line is that Steve and Richard & crew get an A+ on service and the paint job. J&B gets an A overall on price and value. I would highly recommend J&B to anyone looking to paint the exterior of their house.

we had a great experience. they were not only prompt, but early, professional and did everything they said they would. great communication and helpful in getting us the right paint and color. the rooms and halls look great. in fact, we have already hired them again for another job.

I contacted three painting companies for quotes. The first one seemed reasonable and about what I wanted to pay. The second one was from J&B Painting, slightly higher than the first quote, but J&B also offered a guarantee of three years on paint chipping, etc. The last quote was almost $1700.00 dollars less than the first two quotes, but the gentleman sent to give me a quote seemed in a hurry and when I asked him if they gave the house two coats of paint, sighed and motioned with his arm up and down then sideways back and forth and said, yes, two coats. Ha, ha, not funny. So back to J&B. I called late in the day and asked for a quote from J&B. I met with Bob the following morning at 7:00 a.m.. Bob was right on time. He introduced himself, shook my hand and he began his tour of the exterior of my house and garage. While looking, he took the time to tell me a little about himself, his family, his business, stuff people talk about. We touched on the economy and painting houses. He mentioned he'd been in the business for years as well as a number of his crew members. Bob seemed like a nice guy and because they had a guarantee of three years, I decided to go with J&B. They began on the 21st of June at 7:00 a.m. Bob's crew was on time every morning at 7:00 a.m. And I was right about Bob, he is a nice guy. The first day he came by to see how everything was going. He treats his crew with respect, jokes around with them, knows who they are and asks questions about their family. His crew, in turn, spoke so nicely of Bob and you could see they all respect one another. Bob's crew, Marcielo, Martin, Ronnie and Herbert were very professional. You could see they knew exactly what they were doing, who took care of patch, who took care of sanding, who took care of windows, doors, etc. They were great! The J&B Painters were at my home for five days. The first three days was prep. And prep they did. The last two days they painted and cleaned up. Bob came by again later in the week to see how they were doing and again, had a great rapport with his team. My windows and doors look fantastic, better than they looked when I moved into my home 15 years agao. The paint on the stucco and trim came out beautiful! The J&B Painters did a wonderful job and my plan is to have them back to paint the interior of my home. The experience with J&B Painting was very positive and I am a happy customer. I did not like their bid as it was on the higher side. They were thorough in what they were going to do. They had an estimate form that they gave which described all the preparations that they are going to do. They wrote down some additional things that they will perform. They seemed like a capable company. They also have a 3 years guarantee on the painting and said that they would put 2 coats of paint.

Bob Berger, the owner of J&B Painting, gave me an estimate for painting of the entire interior of our new house. His price was fair, but when I received slightly lower bids, he was willing to negotiate and settle on a price acceptable to me. He put four painters on the job and completed the job in four days. Bob makes customer satisfaction his priority and when I asked if something could be done, his response is "of course," and he and his crew followed through. Bob even went out of his way to help us. There was a mishap with the carpet and Bob called in a favor from one of his colleagues to have the problem remedied for a low price. He didn't have to do it, but he was more than willing to help and he was very nice about it. When the job started, Bob was there on time with the crew on the first day, giving them detailed instructions on what to do. He had the painters paint samples of colors I was considering on the walls, so I could make a final decision. The crew covered everything and cleaned up well. They did a very professional job throughout. When they had questions, they asked and were amenable to my requests. Since I was having wood flooring installed, Bob said he would send a painter to do touchup at no additional cost afterwards. Actually two painters came and they did a great job as well. We are very happy with the service we received from J&B Painting and would not hesitate to use their services again. Bob is honest, helpful, and an all around nice guy. I look forward to dealing with him again the next time we need painting done.

The job was done to perfection. Two coats of paint and all if it. Very neat and clean workers. They were respectful of my home an furniture. A excellent job!

J&B sanded, primed and painted everything and in a new color! They beat the estimates from the other contractors and provided great service. Since we had so much rain in December, they painted both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to get the job finished before the next storm. I certainly had no expectations that they would arrive both days but they volunteered and asked if it was okay. The crew was very polite and cleaned up everything. After the next storm, I had a few places that needed to be touched up and they came right over. I highly recommed Bob and his team. I love my new house.

I am an interior designer (listed here on Angie's), hired to project manage a remodel to prepare the house for sale. The surfaces of the house were in poor condition, after decades of using the wrong paint & poor technique. The house has clean mid-century modern lines with lots of windows- so everything would show! What to do, what to do, with no budget to skim-coat the walls and start over..... First, I very carefully chose paint colors that would suit the interior and not bring undue attention to the condition of the surfaces. Then, I started shopping for painters that would carefully consider the task at hand. Most were not able to give me an assurance, technique, or any details how they would handle the job. Talk to me, people! Finally, I went to Angie's list, Bob came out immediately for the estimate, we walked through the house and discussed trouble-shooting of every surface. We developed a game plan, he gave me an estimate on the spot, I gave him a small deposit, and they were able to start at my convenience. 4-man crew, 4 very full days. The crew were friendly, spoke English, we exchanged cell phone numbers in case questions/problems came up. They use Dunn Edwards paint, which I know from experience is the BEST! 2 critical points: every question I brought up was addressed professionally, and every minor misunderstanding was cleared up immediately. At final walk-through, there were just a couple of very minor issues. Bob assured me I can always call when the remodel is finished for touch-ups. The place looks so much better than my highest expectations! I am delighted, and so is my client!

I blew my timeline for a remodel and needed painters to start the next day. J&B came through and did an excellent job. I am definitely going to use them again.

I had my business manager check out J & B Painting Inc. from top to bottom. They were on top of making sure everything I asked for was answered. I am a very tough and detailed customer, and Bob from J & B was patient and made sure I was 100% happy with the work before I gave him the final payment. This was a big job and they were WONDERFUL! Over the past year of owning this monster of a home, I have dealt with many contractors lying, cheating, and trying to take advantage of me. J & B Painting was the complete opposite. They were honest, forthright and had a workmanship manner that EVERY COMPANY SHOULD STRIVE FOR. As long as Bob from J & B Painting is in business, I will continue to work with him and his company. I had an excellent experience! They did an extremely thorough job; paying careful attention to the details. They actually did more than expected; really exceeding my expectations! Also, there wasn?t a mess to clean up afterwards!

While not the lowest bid, I went with them based on prior experience as they did a fantastic job on the outside of my home not too long ago. The outcome this time on the interior work was good, and I greatly appreciate Bob's customer satisfaction commitment as he make sure all details were taken care of and that I was pleased. His color consultant, Steve, was quite valuable in helping me choose a great look. Definately felt I got my money's worth.

The painters arrived and immediately began prepping the room. We discussed colors and the painters went to Dunn Edwards and bought all the paint for the project. The tricky part of the project was that we were using 4 different colors and each wall was specific. The painters followed the samples on the wall without any trouble at all. The painters did an excellent job; even returning to the patch job on one wall and re-doing it out of their own initiative. 2 coats were done on the light walls and 3 coats on the dark walls. Every edge is perfect and the base boards were also done. The crew were conscientious, thorough, clean and courteous. A great job!

They came in and did the work. Were careful and respectful of the plants but did good job painting behind them. they cleaned up behind themslves

It has been over six months since Bob's crew completed this work and I can only say, fantastic job. The cracks are filled for good and as Bob promised, the paint still looks as good as the day his crew painted it on. Bob assigned two crews to paint our house, the entire house all the wood windows and the pergola were painted within 6 days. If you need painting of any kind I would only us J&B Painting.

J&B was very easy to work with. Steve had a very easy-going, helpful attitude. He was supportive with the color selection. He negotiated down on the price, which I really appreciated. I had a short window in which to complete the painting before I had to move in. Steve made sure the painting crew was big enough to finish the job. The job was done on time, despite my request to repaint the hallway and the study because I didn't like my initial color selection. During the walk through at the end of the job, corrections and small fixes were done on the spot.

We hired J & B to paint the exterior of our house as part of our project to improve our home's curb appeal. We went for a completely different look and Bob and his color consultant really helped us find the exact colors we wanted. He and his crew were very professional. They repaired all the rotting fasica and caulked the spots that needed it. Everything was covered and taped so that nothing got painted that wasn't supposed to be painted. It was really easy to work with Bob and his crew. The house looks terrific. We would definitely hire them again.

First, Steve Berger spent considerable time applying sample paint colors to the house to help us decide which color we liked best. Next, the crew spent an entire day preparing the house for painting. They repaired all damaged stucco, replaced several rotting trim boards, pressure washed the entire house, and caulked where necessary. Their painting was hindered by rain, but they made a special trip here to move their equipment so we wouldn't be inconvenienced until the weather improved and they could come back to resume painting. The crew was extremely professional, taking great pains to tape and cover everything that could possibly get dripped on. They weren't the least bit flustered when we added a couple of items to their to-do list. They were smiling and pleasant the entire time - even on the days when the rain drove them away. The house looks terrific, and the paint job on our gutters was so good that they now look brand new. This was, by far, the best experience we've ever had from a contractor of any kind. We will be using J&B Painting in the future for any painting we need done.

I've had this house painted many times in the 54 years I've lived here, and this company did the best job of any. I was very impressed by the careful attention to detail they paid in the prepping. The man they subcontracted to replace the rotted wood did an excellent job for a very good price. It's an old house and some of the wood that gets a lot of exposure to the sun starts peeling within a year after it's been painted. They assured me that wouldn't happen if the wood were properly prepped. They guarantee their work for 3 years (previous companies I've used only guaranteed their work for one), so I feel confident that the sun-exposed wood will look good for at least 3 years and hopefully more. The workers were all very courteous and even worked on weekends (they finished the job on a Sunday). Within 4 days, the house looked like new, and the workermen did a great job cleaning up after themselves - I didn't have to do any clean-up work after they had left.

I contacted the J&B for a quote for an interior paint job. Arranged for a date and a company representative was prompt, professional, and very thorough. Unfortunately, the quote provided was approximately twice the lowest bid. Since the job wasn't very complicated, we decided to proceed with another company. Having said that, we will keep J&B's information and wouldn't hesitate to contact them again in the future if we have something which needs painting.
