Bob came out to do the estimate and was totally prepared with a copy of his license, referrals and paint samples. Did the quote on the spot and it was within our price range. He and his crew showed up promptly at 8am and we did a walk through to make sure we were getting everything we wanted. He told me it would take 3 days and that is exactly what it took. His crew was very friendly and professional and showed up on time every day. Bob checked in each day to make sure everything was going smoothly. We will definitely hire him again for the interior!

Company was responsive to my request for an estimate and came out to the house. He was polite and listened to what I was seeking. However, he kept answering his phone while he was working on the estimate, and kept asking my opinion on what I needed. I responded that he was the painting expert and I was looking for HIS advice and counsel. Price estimate was on the expensive side.

When I called, someone answered the phone. I had waited until the last minute to get my house painted and was having a party in about 2 weeks. I told the person who answered that I needed someone to come out quickly, and the next day he was there. He asked me what I wanted and I told him. He asked about color of paint, agreed that they used Dunn, Edwards (which is the only thing I use), said they would pick up the paint for me, and they could start the following week! He thought it would take about five days. On the first day they were a little late and I was sort of getting worried because I had to be in Court at 8:30 and it was rapidly approaching 8 a.m. I called the guy who was bringing the crew over and told him I had to leave. We agreed I would leave my key under the door mat, and I left. When I got home that day, they had covered everything, taped plastic over the floor, but left me enough room to move around and function. By the second day they had completed half the job, and I was told they would finish on Thursday; a day early. That was great. They finished on Thursday and my house looked outstanding. There was not a drip or an imperfection anywhere. They were neat and tidy while there, and when they left everything looked amazing. Admittedly, they did get one vase put back in the wrong place, but I'll forgive them for that. I had used them only because the company I've used three times was unavailable, and I have to say, these two companies are excellent. I hope I don't have to paint anything for awhile, because I don't know which one I'd go to!

We hired J&B Painting to paint the exterior of our home on September 10, 2012. Our team included Rafael (foreman), Jeffrey, Marcos and Jairo, all of whom clearly are highly skilled and very precise in their work. They worked very well together as a team. They were very organized. Each person knew exactly what he was expected to complete for that day. They cleaned up as they went along and prepared the home very well prior to any painting being done. Stucco was repaired. Walls were power washed. Everything that was not to be painted (and couldn't physically be removed) was painstakingly covered up. Dunn-Edwards' "Whisper" white paint was applied to the walls in addition to two other colors being used on the windows and trim. Multiple coats of all paints were thoroughly applied. The job was finished in five working days. All-in-all, we are thrilled with the end result and look forward to hiring J&B Painting to paint the interior of our house in the near future. Bravo team!

I initially booked a job, then cancelled after I thought about it. I called another handy man for an estimate and got excellent service at a price $1500 cheaper.

Love this company! I needed to get the exterior of my house painted as there were many cracks and areas where the stucco needed to be repaired. Got three estimates and they were all the same price or very close. Went with this company as I also needed to get an 8 foot wood fence and a wood gate rebuilt and they have a handyman who works with them. The other companies wanted me to get my own handyman. The process went quickly and smoothly. The handyman was available the next day and was able to get the items done by the time we had agreed to start the painting. They spent two days prepping the house and then another three and half days painting and touching up until I was completely satisfied. As I watched them work I decided that if they did a good job on the outside I would get a quote for the inside. Loved the work they did so I had them quote the inside work. The price was good and I had them start the next week. There was a lot of prep that needed to be done inside as I had had insulation blown into the walls and there were many, many holes to patch. I had tried to patch the holes myself and couldn't get it to not look like it was patched. Not this company. They did a great job patching and then painting. The colors I chose took more coats of paint than they expected but they kept adding coats until the walls looked great. They quickly responded to, and resolved, any items I brought up. Will definitely recommend them to my friends and family and will use them again when I need painting done.

Bob gave me an idea over the phone of their rates and then a written estimate when he came out to look at the rooms. Once I decided to contract with J&B Painting he was able to schedule the work within a couple of days. Bob arrived with the painters the first day to explain the job. The paint crew, Manuel and Eddy, worked for 2 1/2 days. They arrived on time, were courteous, personable, worked quietly, and left everything clean at the end of the day. They did excellent work, especially on the 2 louvered doors and 4 quite large sliding closet doors. I am very happy with the results and would not hesitate to use J&B Painting again.

Painted all exterior trim, including several doors and garage door and upper deck and stairs, gutters and downspouts, on large Mediterranean style home. This involved a difficult color match to stucco that they did with patience to perfection. It also involved fixing some wood trim and painting the entry doors a difficult red. The owner, Bob, has a great relationship with Dunn Edwards so he called them to make sure they promptly gave me various paint samples to try. Because the red was a unique red that Dunn Edwards couldn't match, his crew went to Lowes for the exact red we wanted. The foreman on our particular crew, Ricardo Acosta, was professional, courteous, and easy to deal with, and I would recommend asking for him. We felt like they wanted us to be happy, that they took pride in making their customers satisfied. They showed up every day on time and with a good attitude.

I called this company to come and do interior painting on my home, on the phone I explained the specifics of the job and what I wanted done, the owner I was speaking with said I was "anal" and he did not want to do the job. He also did not want to recommend anyone and was really rude.

After pouring through reviews on Angie's List and asking my realtor for recommendations, I decided to reach out to J & B Painting. Bob got back to me right away, and we arranged a time the next day for him to see my home and submit a bid. I found Bob to be very pleasant and easy to deal with, felt a trust right away, and when I expressed some concerns I had based on previous experiences with other companies, Bob let me know he heard me and that his company was different. And it was! He was always responsive, fair, got the job done sooner than expected and they did a fantastic job! I'm so pleased with the quality of the work! I also took advantage of Bob's association with Steve, a color coordinator. I love that Bob had this option! Steve understood my fear of color, worked with it and even got me to try something different. The outcome looks fantastic! Great job and when it comes time to paint my home's exterior, I'll look no farther than J & B Painting. Thanks, Bob!

They were the best to workers I have ever seen! They were terrific and did an excellent job.

They painted the entire kitchen and did a great job. I would recommend them.

Painters arrived on time everyday and worked without complaint. Sanded, patched and washed and primed walls as needed. Two coats of paint was applied to all surfaces. Work was completed within the time promised. Very friendly and professional team. Our home looks brand new!

Steve came to give the estimate and said they could start soon. On the first day he came at 8 am with 2 brothers, Ronny and Mauricio.They got right to work and were very neat and detail oriented. After doing such a good job on the family room and block wall we decided to paint the outside of the house, both stucco and would trim. They did an excellent job in a timely manner again with much attention to detail. Steve came by everyday to check in. We have had other painters over the years but I would never have anyone again except Ronny and Mauricio.

I received quotes from 3 different companies that I found on Angie's list. I went with J & B, because they received excellent reviews and their price was lower than the competition. They arrived at 8 a.m. on a Tuesday and had the job finished on Saturday morning. They took the first day to cover the windows/certain areas and started scraping and patching. Days 2-4 were spent painting 2 coats of our main color and 3 coats of our trim color as well as finishing patching areas. The last day (2 hours) they touched up areas, replaced light fixtures, and cleaned the work site. They left everything in perfect order. They were hard working professional painters who had an eye for detail. I highly recommend Bob and his crew.

Bob came out the next day to give me an estimate, but his price was a little high. However, I have learned we should have choosen him to begin with and may call him back next week. Very nice guy.

Steve Berger, J&B Estimator, managed the project and was "Hands-On" each day to insure that my expectations were met. J&B provided a Father & Son team that performed all the work in a professional manner. They were responsive to all of my request and the quality of their work was excellent. I would not hesitate to retain J&B again in the future for any of my painting needs.

I got them from Angie’s List. They had received excellent reviews on Angie’s List, and they did turn out to be very good. They looked into all the little details and did a good job. They were professional. It was a good choice of contractors. I did not get any other estimates. So, I did not compare their price to other companies.

It went well from start to finish. They were clean, polite and very clean and detail oriented.

Pretty good, not great but pretty good. The person that came out was a nice guy, I liked him.

I had a couple problems with the product and his attitude. He agreed that he probably shouldn't have had his guys do the work the day he did. I have a 3yr warranty with him, so he came out and fixed all the problems and I'm very happy with it. He always gets back to me, very punctual.

Bob came over the next morning after I called him, gave me a quote and started work at 8am the next morning. The men Bob has working for him are very polite, efficient and work hard. Any rooms I had closed off they did not go into them. They cleaned up every evening put there tools away so I was never inconvenienced. The job was done just as I wanted, everything looks so great. When I walked in the door everything was cleaned up, apart from the beautiful walls you would not know they had been. They replaced everything to how it was when they came, switch places on, knobs on cupboards etc I was extremely impressed. I definately will use them again.

They started and completed the job on time The .Boss came every morning to be sure the workers knew what to do that day.There was no mess at all when they finished the job. I was very satisfied.

Mostly the job went very smoothly. The workers arrived on time every day and got the work done in the amount of time they had said. When they were finished, there were no paint drips on the ground, but there were some scattered chips of old paint. That would have been very hard to avoid, though. Overall the house looks pretty good. However, there were some issues in the end. During the inspection process, I pointed out some spots where the trim color had smeared a bit onto the background, particularly from the door frame onto the surrounding stucco. To paint the trim around the door, instead of being careful not to get any trim color onto the stucco, they overpainted the trim and then covered the overpaint with stucco-colored paint later. In some places they had been sloppy with this process and the door trim had streaks of stucco color on it, or vice versa. They fixed this by repainting with the appropriate color paint when I pointed this out. But I'm worried that in time, the stucco-colored paint will discolor differently from the stucco and won't match any more. Also, instead of removing the hardware from the front door, they masked it off, but they did a poor job. In some places they masked slightly too much, so there was a strip of the old color (white) of about 1/16" visible around the hardware. The new color is green, so it was quite noticable. They carefully applied green paint to cover the white, and did a good job, but I think they should have seen and fixed that witout me having to point it out to them. Also, there was overspray from the primer on the brass hardware. It showed as a whitish haze. When I pointed that out to them, they denied it was overspray, said it had been like that when they started, and refused to do anything about it. However, it was clear from the pattern, that one handle had it but not the other, that it was overspray. During the whole process of the final inspection and touch up (about 45 minutes, mostly on the front door), the two workers who weren't involved in the touch-ups stood around impatiently. The whole crew made it very clear that they didn't want to hang around and fix up these small matters. Also I found out at that point that they had used satin finish for both trim and walls, even though I had specified flat paint for the walls. That last hour left a very sour taste in my mouth. The next time the house is painted, I will ask for a bid from this company, but everything else being equal, I'm not sure I would select them to do the work again.

They were competitive price wise. Their carpentry work was excellent, and they were very quick to catch up, and there were contractors coming in and out, and they actually came back out afterwards to do touch up work.
