We painted the entire interior and had no complaints.

I can't speak highly enough of Bob Berger and J&B Painting, but I'm going to try. Ipicked them to provide an estimate because of their high Angie's List rating (A). Bob Berger, president, was responsive and the estimate was right in the ballpark with others. I liked him because he gave me good ideas about the painting and steered me away from something another company suggested doing. His team showed up on time every day. Rafi was the foreman of a 4-man (total) team. They worked so hard. I was astounded at the attention they gave to covering every square inch of window, floor, door handles, everything. I guess I never really spent the money to have good painters before! They came Day 1 to do some scraping and prepping outside because the floors were drying from being refinished. Day 2 they started in earnest. All done on Day 5, at 6 p.m. Rafi was also willing to do some extra small jobs (hanging a new mail box, caulking the kitchen sink and bathroom tub), and then, for more money for his team, removed the outdoor carpeting not the front porch, and sanded and painted it. Bob came by every day to check on progress. Rafi was available for questions by phone and also was responsive every time I asked him about something about the job. I would recommend them to anyone and would definitely use them again. I was very, very pleased with their work and the result.

These guys were terrific. When they took out the Bona to clean my hardwoods, I was completely astonished. We were rushing to paint house before movers arrived and they did a yeoman job. Very pleased.

Although I'm sure that J&B is a quality painting company, their quote was just way too high. I ended up going with a competitive company who did a great job at a third of the price!! If you're looking for top quality, go with J&B. If you're going for a competitive price, go elsewhere.

The owner, Bob, provided the estimate. He did a thorough and professional assessment of the job, examined the house, listened to what I wanted done in terms of stucco repair, as well as painting. He told me how he'd approach the job, especially the section of wall that had water damage from sprinklers, and required total re-stucco. He provided us with a folder which included a copy of his liability insurance policy, local homeowner referrals and residences that he painted, as well as a paint chart for color selection. He told us the brand of paint he uses (Dunn Edwards) and recommended the type of paint to use on our house (flat on stucco, stain, flat or velvet on wood trim). We were given a written estimate before he left the property. His bid was very competitive, although not the lowest. We selected him based on his ratings, on his professional and comprehensive estimate, and after looking at some of the homes that he had painted in the local area. Bob and his crew of 3 workers showed up promptly on the scheduled day to begin the job. They laid down plastic on the concrete around the perimeter of the home, and started to mask windows, doors and fixtures. Next, his crew began the stucco repair, which continued into the 2nd day. The stucco repair of the wall with water damage was complete and comprehensive. They assessed how much of the wall required replacement, removed the old stucco down to the frame, then applied a plywood base, paper and mesh on the first day. They also repaired stucco around the perimeter of the house, and patched cracks on the first day. On the second day, they applied a base of cement to the repaired wall, then started to sand the wood trim and apply primer, where needed. They also started painting trim on day 2. On the third day, they applied the final coat of stucco to the repaired wall, prepped the rest of the dried stucco, started painting the stucco, and continued on the trim. On day 4, they completed the job, which included 2 coats of paint, and a coat of primer. They removed all of the plastic and masking, and cleaned up, leaving everything the way it was when they arrived. The stucco repair was extremely professional. There was no sign that any repair was done, and the new stucco perfectly matched the existing stucco in style and texture. The house looks great. I would recommend J&B painting to anyone needing exterior (or interior) painting of their home, especially those who need significant stucco repair. Most painters do not attempt any significant stucco repair, so you need to hire another contractor complete the job. J&B does it all, and extremely well.

. Extremely professional , price was on the higher side as compared to others, but I liked the follow up so decided to go with them . They were very professional , explained all the work , estimated were in and were out . Left the place clean and tidy . Very satisfied with the work performed

Abraham and his sons are one of Bob's best teams. I would trust them with any work on my houses. If you are looking to paint the inside or outside of your home, I would not go to anyone but J&B Painting, period.

As always, everything went perfectly. There is an old saying in business. An employees worth to his company is in direct proportion to the supervising he or she requires. Bob's teams need absolutely no supervision. We have had J&B Painting paint three of our houses over the past 6 years and each time it was perfection in every detail. You can get cheaper, but then what is your time worth? Bob uses the best materials so long term his prices are well worth it. He gives a very good warranty on his work also.

I interviewed over 6 painters on Angies list. I wasn't looking for the lowest estimate and J&B wasn't the lowest but you ask the right questions and take a shot. The painting crew he assigned to me wer'e Abraham and his two sons. I call Abe the Picasso, Rembrandt if you like of painters. They were careful, professional and instead of six days...it took them eight. They don't rush their jobs and continually asked me if I was satisfied on each step of their procedure. Bob Berger supervised and I am very satisfied with his company and his workers. This is a professional company.

Their response is prompt, accurate and professional. I recommend and will refer future jobs to them.

I've used this outfit before and was looking to have the work completed before Thanksgiving, so I contacted them first. They could do the job within a week of my calling so I gave them the job without securing a bid. My prior experience is that they've always been fair and reasonable. A few days later, two workers came by to start, then Bob (the head of the company) came by yo assess the situation and then gave me the price. They did great, thorough work in under two days time. The third day they came by only to make sure I reviewed the work and to deal with any touch-ups prior to payment. I saw one small item that was fixed in under 5 minutes. Overall, very pleased, no complaints. In fact, I paid a bit extra thanks to J & B Painting.

It went very well & was done in 7hrs by 1 painter. Cleaned up perfectly.

All work was completed within 5 days as promised. J&B used 2 crews to complete my job so we could move in on time. Crews cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. They started on time each morning and worked a full day.

Amazing! Bob and his right hand man Albert were fantastic. They worked around my schedule and my GC's schedule to get the entire house done over the course of a couple of weeks during/after a major remodel. They came back several times for touch ups and to fix some things that other subs on the job had damaged. The were respectful of my property, belongings, family, etc. They kept the area clean and safe. I would recommend them to others and use them again when needed.

It went well. The man was very professional and provided a written estimate. I just decided to wait and get additional bids.

He came out on time for the estimate. Did a thorough job of calculating what needed to be done. He explain the entire procedure and ask us if we had any questions. I wanted to know if he would be doing the job himself. He explained that he would be over seeing the work, and that he had two men working for him, that had been working for him for over 20 years. I asked if they spoke English, and he said that they did. The appointment was set for 08/22 and 23/22013. The men arrived with Steve; they introduced themselves and started working. They were fast and quiet (at one point I thought they had gone). When they did take a lunch break they let me know that they were leaving and would be back within 45 minutes. At the end of the first day they cleaned up their work area, and gave me a walk through of what they had done and that they would be back tomorrow to complete the job. They arrived at 7:00 am as they said the would. and by noon they had completed the work. Steve had come out both days to over see the work, and when he came to collect the money for the job he took the time to explain again exactly what they had. He asked if we had any questions, which we did not. My husband and I are very happy with the work that was done, and will be calling J&B Painting to so further work on our house.

It went horrible. He arrive late for the quote. While he was inspecting, he made some racist/ignorant comments about Korean's, saying they are taking away business from him. He said it was ok for him to make those comments because his wife was Asian. No sir, its never ok to make those comments! After the inspection, I got this ridiculous quote for painting my 700 square foot home. This home is in good condition and the quote was way way way way over priced. He obviously did not want this paint job if he quoted double what all the other contractors were quoting. Don't waste your time, there are better paint contractors out there.

J & B arrived on the dot of 8.00 a.m. as agreed. Steve Berger brought three painters and introduced them, told them what work was required and then left. They were all polite and extremely careful with my furniture and flooring. They were highly professional and their workmanship was excellent. I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Steve - you were all great!

Often I have wonder if the reviews for J&B Painting are real and true? And sometimes I have doubts about Angies List if some of the reviews are actually written by real clients or "their painters' friends or employees". I am amazed that they were able to get over 200 reviews. Why? I picked J&B Painting because of many glory and outstanding reviews from Angies List. I interviewed 4 other painters and most of them do not have many or no reviews on Angies List. I could have gone with the other painters as their estimates were about the same as J&B Painting, but again, decided to go with J&B Painting because of Angies List and over 200 reviews on J&B Painting. Yes, I am sorry I made the decision to go with J&B Painting. Why? First, there were overspray in several areas that they did not cover up with plastic sheets. Several of the sprinklers heads were covered with paint and looks funny with the remaining black/gray PVC pipes. Also they did not bother cover up some thing like the dryer vent (it was white before), pipes outside of stucco, some overspray on the roof next to the wood trim, some painting dripping on walkway and pavements. There are some thing outside that are not meant to be painted. It is like a car with window chrome trim or black wiper arms, you do not paint the whole car in one color without losing the details. I spoke to Steve about this and the painters looked at me if I was nuts about being picky on cleanliness. On the last day of the job, only one painter out of two painters showed up. The painter worked all day alone and you could tell he became tired, then eventually, he became sloppy and little messy. There were trash all over place in the backyard, with tapes and plastic sheets including old paint chips all over. They should have one trash bag in one location to keep the trash together. At the end of the day, others came to rush up to clean up in a hurry. There are some area today that the paint in the wood area is not holding up well as it should be. It is good thing that there is 3 years warranty on the workmanship as I will need to have them to come back and touch up some areas. Be careful what you read from the reviews. Some reviews may not be necessary all true.

It was Great! From the estimate to finishing the job a day early (in just 5 days!).....everyone was punctual, congenial, honest and expert! Antonio and his crew were the best! We were told step by step what to expect. They did a great job from start to clean-up. I have not a single complaint. I felt the price was extremely reasonable for the amount and type of work done.
