Description of Work: I took estimates from five highly-rated Angie's List painters to paint the exterior trim including a large patio cover and deck, and a small amount of wood siding. J&B was my second choice (unfortunately I could only hire one). Their price was good -- very close to the company I hired -- and they seemed professional and knowledgeable. In another world I might have hired them instead. As it turned out I was very satisfied with the company I hired. But I would include them in the bidding for a future project.

Description of Work: Bob, the owner came out to give an estimate on painting the exterior of our house and garage. He put us in touch with his color consultant who came to our home to help with color selection. The consultant had some fine ideas, but we decided to stay with the original color of our home. He did encourage us to paint the wood patio overhang white to match the trim of our house. We are glad that he encouraged this because it has really brightened up that space. Bob was very accommodating and scheduled the job at a time convenient for us. When we learned that we needed some new wood installed to replace wood that had dryrot, Bob agreed to have a painter return and paint the new wood after it had been installed. The painters were prompt, experienced, professional, clean, and courteous. Our questions and concerns were always addressed. We were pleased with the work and would highly recommend J&B.

Description of Work: You will not find a better painting company! Quick, efficient courteous workers. Steve the owner bent over backwards to please us throughout the entire process. They painted the interior of our three bedroom home with great care and minimal disruption. We would use them again in a minute!

Description of Work: I wholeheartedly recommend this contractor. I have referred both my son and my physician to him. He gave me a quote to paint the entire interior (roughly 1600 sq. ft.) which included stripping wallpaper that had been painted over in one case, and a wallpapered powder room. He was attentive, checked in to see the project as work progressed, and paid attention to all my concerns. While my home is not back in order, I am very pleased with the cleanliness, the hard work of the painters and their congeniality and the very good job they have done. I have had other quotes, some more,, and I am sure I could have gotten a lower quote, but I felt confident that I would have a worry and meticulous job done. The work is still ongoing but should be completed by Saturday and for a place this size, that's good.

Description of Work: Pressure washed patio floor and house, replaced siding in upper story, refinished (and repaired) front door, painted house and patio floor.

Description of Work: J & B Painting, Inc. had painted our wrought iron railings around our rear decks in October 2007. They had done an excellent job at a very reasonable price. Recently, we noted some rust corrosion in a number of spots on the underside of the railings where there had been exposure to sprinkler water. The original paint job was still under the three year warranty. We called the company and they sent Steve Berger, the owner's brother, to inspect the problem. He agreed that remedial action was indicated and under the warranty. The painter, Christian, came out promptly on the appointed date and did an excellent job of removing the rust, priming the areas and applying matching paint as needed. Because of the structure of the railings (see photos) the task was very difficult but performed skillfully and professionally. There was no charge. We are very impressed and very grateful for this quality of service, and highly recommend this paint company.
