I informed Tony I wanted the ground level. He rolled a water filled roller over the ground. which still was not level after her was done. I bought gypsum to put down under the sod to mix with the dirt. He said there was no need for that. I also informed him I do not want high or low spots, which I have all over the yard. I worry about someone walking in the yard an twisting their ankle. It looks like I have a pitchers mound in my backyard. He proceeded to say it would level out in a few weeks, it has been over a year and I am still waiting for it to level out. My sprinklers some are higher than the ground and some are level with the SOD. He said he would haul off the broken concrete from the porch, which he just left laying on the side of my yard. He said he never said he would take it away. You need to have everything in writing with this guy before the job starts. He also bought excess supplies, like a bag of 50 fittings and only used like 5 of them, so they can not be returned. He is not qualified as a landscaper. Now I am out the $650 for labor plus the $400 for the SOD, because it needs ripped up and done again, just had an estimate of $1,800 to fix his screw up.
Description of Work: Installed sprinklers, leveled ground to install SOD. Remove old 3ft x 3ft porch.

He left a mess. He let the branches fall over in the neighbors yard and didn't get them up. I didn't find out about that till later. He let the branches fall into the oleanders. He left trash, his cups, and cigarette buttes all over the yard. I had to pay him a little at a time to be able to take the branches and debris to the trash dump. He never came back. I thought he would and I had to hire someone else to clean up his mess. I have a 1/3 acre yard, he used that as an excuse, but, I told him we talked about that from the very beginning. He did a horrible job and butchered the trees and oleanders. He worked alone and I was concerned as the oleanders were 15 feet and I wanted them brought down to 6 feet. The trees needed to be trimmed up. I found 300 branches after he left. I give him the lowest ratings and would tell people not to hire him because he isn't capable. I will not use him again and if I see him on my property, I will throw him off.
Description of Work: I hired him to clean up my yard, trim trees, and cut back the oleanders.
