AFFORDABLE CHIMNEY & DUCT

They showed up on time and immediately went to work to do this for me. They devised a way to cap this vent effectively and quickly which enabled me to stay on my tight remodeling schedule. I believe that my request was a little unusual as I called others and did not receive a reply to my request for assistance. I will definitely use the services of this company when I need to have my AC/Heater vents cleaned. Their customer service was outstanding. I mentioned a new dryer vent that I had installed that needed to be cut because it was too long and Chris and Austin took care of this for me at no additional charge. This father and son team was great!

They did a great job. Very professional, arrived on time, did a thorough job, checked on the roof to make sure there were no dead animals/birds as there was no cap/screen on the top of the chimney. They gave me advice on what type of grate to buy, and what type of wood to buy. I would recommend them without doubt and will hire them again.

Austin arrived precisely as scheduled. He was extremely pleasant to work with and is very competent in his trade. Our chimney consists of a wood burning stove at the bottom with a pipe that vents to the chimney cap up top. Our house is 13 years old. After a thorough inspection, he said that the sweep we requested was optional since the buildup wasn't excessive. We elected to have the sweep done, but appreciated his honesty. Also during the inspection, he discovered that the pipe that connects the stove to the cap had been disconnected. We elected to have him accomplish the work, which he was able to do the same day. Had to leave the house while he was still working, but came back to find the fireplace area cleaned, the door to the stove had been completely cleaned (had a lot of buildup from previous fires), and we were able to pay the bill by phone the next day. Overall well-above average service, and I will continue using Affordable Chimney Sweep in the future. My highest recommendation.

The service and professionalism was excellent. Austin is the only certified chimney sweep in Arizona according to the Chimney Safety Institute of America (www.csia.org). I just moved into a new house and wish I had used him to inspect prior to purchasing the house. He let me know what needed to be done and was able to complete everything on the the visit, despite the fact that I just booked it two days ago. He also gave some outstanding recommendations on what I could do for sealing the chimney if I chose not to use it. This is definitely my go-to company for anything to do with my chimney and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Affordable Chimney is a locally-owned family business and it obvious they care about their customers and have a strong work ethic.

They cleaned the ducts and also discovered that both of my bathroom duct work was not even connected to the AC/Furnace. I had the ducts cleaned before by another company in town and they didn't notice this. They cleaned and inspected my chimney also. I felt the price was very fair because they were very thorough. When they removed the vents they cut them with a razor so the paint did not chip. They were very clean and, even though THEY got dirty, ( I felt bad my chimney was such a mess, the poor man got so dirty from cleaning it) there was no dirt left in the house. They also cleaned all the vents before they reinstalled them and also the furnace filter which was very nice. It was also great that they came on a Saturday because I could not get off work during the week. They were very nice, honest people.

The worker showed up exactly on time. He inspected the damper first. To my surprise, the damper was not stuck open, it was working just fine. However, the gentleman found other problems with the fireplace and the chimney and gave me a written estimate that broke down all that should be done. I had him clean the chimney as well as add an extension to the flue so that smoke wouldn't come inside the house so much. I will have this company do the rest of the work in the next month or so, along with cleaning my ducts. I was very pleased with this company and will not hesitate to utilize their services again.

They worked very steady. They never RUSHED just to get the job done even though it was getting dark and they had been there all day. They did the job right and you could tell they cared about doing things right and made sure I was happy too! They were very pleasant to talk with. It's hard sometimes to have people you don't know into your house and doing important work but these guys made us feel very comfortable. I was impressed with the way the both of them stuck to,the job at hand the whole day. They were not always taking breaks, in fact I can't recall that they did other than to get a quick bite to eat. We were impressed as you can tell.

Our request for an inspection and service appt was responded to quickly and Chris was out the very next day. We had recently purchased the house and wanted to get the chimney cleaned and evaluated. Chris is very knowledgeable and identified issues we were seeing, what was a priority to fix now, what could wait a bit, what we could do ourselves, and what options he could provide for us. We had him clean the chimney and he was very clean and tidy with all that soot. We will have him out again at some point to add a cap and replace the damper, which has rusted open.

My experience with Affordable Chimney was GREAT! They are very reasonable priced. The guy that came over was very courteous and nice, he did all the work by himself. When he did the first repair it was a little bit longer about 2 1/2 hours because the duct of the dryer vent had never been cleaned and it was full so it took him a while to clean that. But the second one it only took him 1 hour.

They were good. The owner had a good sense of humor. The workers who came over were complete and thorough. They had a lot of experience. They were on time. I would use them again in the future.

They were the only one that I could quickly find the review on Angie's List; so I called them and they were nice on the phone. They came out and were really friendly. There was a need to replace the hood on the top of the chimney hood on the roof because it's not a detachable as we get to see now-a-days. Ours is not a detachable one and old one. He said he could replace it. I said I couldn't afford it right now. He said he would see what he could do with the old one, and he managed to take it off and attach it back on with the silicon without any extra charge that was fine. We didn't have to get it replaced. The guy was very nice. We will use them again.

Excellent! They were very nice over the phone and answered quickly. Even in this time of year when they are busy, they were able to get right out the next day. They were very professional and offered great advise. And talk about clean! Not a mess left and everything was great!

The job went really well. The guy did a great job. He was really very friendly and he kind of went out of his way not just to do the work but he also kind of told us what had happened in the past with our fireplace because it is one of those prefab fireplaces that it is kind of small and the people who owned the house before us had put the grates too far forward and that had been one of the things that had caused some of the problems with it and so he showed us where to put the grates that would make it better and where we could place the grates to make the chimney and the fireplace work better and he kind of made a suggestion of an inexpensive different type of grate put in the fireplace that would make everything run more smoothly and there were also a couple of places where there were holes that were designed for gas to come in. We don?t have a gas fireplace but we have a wood-burning fireplace. He said he would make the whole thing run more smoothly if the holes were plugged with some concrete fill or something like that. He made a point of asking if we wanted him to do that and he said that he would do it without charging extra and it was very nice and it took some extra five minutes and he filled it with grout so that the air exchange in there would work more smoothly. He was really good. We really liked him and got along with him well. I would definitely use him again in the future.
