We are extremely happy with the work BJ and his crew did on our home. We first hired him to do several repairs on the exterior of our home including window replacements, repairs/replacements of damanged wood, exterior painting, and installation of rain gutters. He is a general contractor so he did subcontract the painting and the rain gutters, but always took full responsiblity for everyone's work and made sure it was done to my satisfaction. We were happy enough that I jokingly said he should do our kitchen next. He offered to work up a detailed plan and estimate for the proposed kitchen and we hired him again. The kitchen turned out beautifully and he and his crew always had good ideas, were polite, left the work area clean at the end of each day, and always showed up when promised. I will definitely hire this group again for any future projects we might have. They were great to work with.

We have used BJ twice now. I emailed him and 2 others on a Saturday morning in May, 2014 for a kitchen remodel. BJ called me that morning and came out that afternoon. By Sunday, he emailed us a bid that was very reasonable for all we needed. Another contractor emailed me he would call Mon. but nothing. BJ and his crew arrived in mid June when we were scheduled and quickly completed the remodel as he had quoted. We had purchased the cabinets and granite ourselves, but they were around to do their part whenever we needed them. He and his guys were easy to work with and finished in a reasonable amount of time. We were impressed so we had him back to add a ceiling fan, a soffit and some cans. I would use him again anytime.

We have now worked with BJ and his crew on two projects. The ratings above apply to both projects but the pricing only reflects the most recent service provided. After receiving an estimate and setting a project date with BJ, we purchased our doors at Home Depot. BJ picked the doors up for us and brought them by the house on the day of the project for no extra charge. Although I was not home during the installation, it seemed to take approximately a day plus a few hours. A few weeks after the doors were installed, my wife and I locked ourselves out of the house and I had to cut through one of the security doors. After purchasing a new door, BJ installed that door for us, again for no additional charge. We definitely plan to work with BJ again in the future.

The install went very well, except for me forgetting to get some items on this supply list.

BJ & his team were great to work with! They removed a wall, ripped out 5 layers of flooring, opened up a brick wall, removed a chimney stack, patched our roof, drywalled, and tiled. The result of their hard work is a beautiful open kitchen. BJ guided us on the work we wanted to do ourselves and stepped in when we needed him. We will absolutely use them in the future.

Responded quickly to request for estimate for job; came when they said they would, both for estimate and for job. Did excellent work and cleaned up completely after the job. I would very highly recommend Birchard Remodeling.

Went Great! This is the second large job we've had BJ do for us. He is very good and his prices are always reasonable. He shows up when scheduled and cleans up after his crews every day. His work is first rate every time, every job. He's pretty busy and might take a couple days to get in touch when you first call, but it's really worth the wait. He's the only one we'd use for remodel work in Tucson and I can recommend him without any reservations at all..

I was hesitant to undertake the rebuilding of my Arizona room because of some less than satisfactory experiences with other work done on my house. BJ and his crew immediately set my mind at ease. From our initial meeting, he took the time to listen to my wishes for the project and struck an expert balance between design considerations and structural soundness. He was always very easy to get in contact with, either by phone or e-mail, and responded promptly to any concerns. When subcontractors were taking care of the stucco and flooring, BJ either called or came to the site each day to make sure that the work was satisfactory. All the work done by the subcontractors was also top-notch. BJ and his crew worked very efficiently with no skipped days, so the project was completed ahead of schedule. His price was very reasonable (lowest of the three bids that I got on the job) and the project stayed on budget. The quality of workmanship and professionalism were outstanding from start to finish, and I am thrilled with the finished project. I will certainly be calling BJ for any future projects.

JB the company owner came out the day after I called to give me an estimate. We discussed options and he sent me an estimate. We decided on a date that did not work out because I needed to get a permit from the county for the work and then we went on vacation. After returning from vacation we set a new date for installation. Any time I called JB he was prompt in getting back with me and he was always courteous and helpful. He was also an on time person. He installed the door in the time he said it would take and came back later to do an adjustment when the weather changed and the door started to stick. He had one other man working with him and they were both pleasant to work with. The work was well done and the suggestions they made were helpful. I would hire this company again.

It went very smoothly. I lived in the renovation and it was painless. It was done in phases. The first phase was the replacement of the carpet with tile throughout the whole house. The process took a week as they promised. A few weeks later we started the main project which was to open up the kitchen to the living area. On one weekend I packed up my kitchen and on the next weekend I unpacked it into the new improved space as promised. I had been thinking about this renovation for many months and had purchased fixtures and "done my own design". I had found a countertop from Lowe's that I thought I wanted but BJ could not get the Lowe's countertop that I thought I wanted. However, his partner showed me a sample of a countertop that was the perfect choice - much better than the one I thought I wanted and within the same price as the Lowe's countertop. I was very happy that they are able to give excellent design device for us "do-it-your-selfers." The end result is a beautiful kitchen and bath within the budget that I had set for myself.

Kitchen Remodel of Sink Area - BJ was great to work with. He was on time daily, cleaned up after work and left the area as clean as possible. He installed the cabinets by himself and did a great job. Brought in Oscar and Enrique to do the finish tile work and they were very pleasant and nice guys. I did not have a problem with leaving them in my home while I was out to work, I found them professional, fun and enjoyed having them make my kitchen look perfect! I will use BJ and his company again when I am ready to do the bathroom!

BJ promptly returned our call and even came out on a Sunday for an estimate. He was knowledgeable and his price was reasonable. He showed up when he said he would and completed the job as promised. They cleaned up daily to keep the disruption to a minimum. The quality of the work was outstanding. We couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. We would highly recommend them.

BJ did a great job, on time and on budget to do some drywall work, framed in parts of 3 rooms and completely rebuilt and retiled shower. I all looks great.

My wife and I bought our house in May and one of the improvements we wanted to make was to replace the entry door (metal - full panel) with an entry door that had a glass opening and was wood-toned. We shopped local suppliers and priced a number of doors but the door that best suited our desires was a web-only special via Home Depot. (Fiberglass-wood toned with a great glass insert.) The door arrived and I realized my DIY skills were not to the level required to be able to install this properly. I logged onto Angie's List and reviewed remodeling - handyman options and settled on William Birchard Remodeling as a potential supplier. I called him that afternoon and got a return call later that evening. We discussed the project and set a time for him to come by the house and physically review our needs. He showed up on-time and provided clear detail as to what would be required for the install. In the process we also decided that he would remove, repaint and re-install the security door in our entry-way along with removing the old entry door and replacing with the new. He gave me a verbal estimate and then emailed a formal estimate a couple days later. The price was acceptable and we set a date for the install. The only other thing we needed to do was select the new color for the security door and trim around our entry. He recommended a paint store for us to select from and we followed through and sent him our desired color. Install day came and they showed up on time and did a terrific job of the install. We have a stucco home and the entry had a side panel and I was concerned that there might be an issue.......there was none! They worked quickly and consistently and within a few hours we had a beautiful new entry to our home. They installed our new locks and did a great job of cleaning up and making sure that everything was in good working order. WE are very pleased and highly recommend William Birchard Remodeling.

BJ is great! He returned our calls promptly. He's very experienced and a complete professional. His work is exceptional and he cleans up every night at the end of each day's work. The work was done on time, on budget, and is beautiful. We're completely happy with the job he did for us.

It went very well. BJ thought they would finish within about ten days and it actually took a bit longer because the tile edging that we ordered didn't come in on time. Other than that, it would have been completed in the time he promised. He and Paul showed up every day and stayed all day. Kept everything clean. Very easy to contact him with any questions. The shower is beautiful. We were very happy with his work and would hire him again.

The job went well. I had originally contacted BJ (owner) because of an existing problem with the seal of the shower surround in the master bathroom, where it meets the tub. The company that had installed it originally did a bad job and there was too much play in the shower surround wall. This excessive play caused the seal to give way, causing a gap where water could enter, potentially creating mold issues. BJ came, gave an estimate and we moved forward with the job. He initially came and did a temp. seal on the surround, then about a month later came to do the removal / reinstall of the surround. Upon attempting to remove the surround, it broke (which BJ explained was a possibility in advance). So, we chose a new surround and he proceeded to install it, replace some sheet rock, do some painting and now the job is finished. He and his assistant were always professional, courteous, cleaned up after themselves and he accepts credit cards. While I haven't had a chance to test the shower yet, I feel good about the overall work so far and have asked him for an estimate on some additional work.

This was the second project I had BJ and his right hand man, Paul, do for me in the past few months. I was just as satisfied with this job as I was with the 1st one. They did a beautiful job, and most important, the wife just loves it. They were there when they said they would be and finished each portion of the job when they said they would. They were a pleasure to be around and I couldn't have asked for any better job. Good at what they do and they do what they say! Again I say thanks for a job well done.... Contacted BJ Birchard, the owner, by phone and he came by to look at what I needed done. He called me the next day and discussed the project and e-mailed me an estimate. I accepted the proposal and we agreed to a start time. BJ wired my new cabinets for lighting, painted the kitchen and had Back Splash applied. He did such a good job, that I asked him to give me an estimate on making my patio into an AZ room. Accepting his proposal, He built a beautiful addition. The wife and I are extremely pleased and plan to have him do some more remodeling in the near future. Thanks BJ, for a job well-done!

The job was started and finished on-time. The room looks fantastic! I couldn't be happier. There was quite a bit involved in matching the existing structure, dealing with phone, network and cable lines, and other issues. BJ and his crew made it all seem easy. His quality of work was great. Our inspector even liked the quality so much he hired BJ to do work for his own house. Since the first work he did for me, I've had him build a lighted wall for my front courtyard several other smaller jobs. I highly recommend William Birchard Remodeling. BJ was referred to me by a big box store to conduct the work. He came out and was nice and professional. I needed plumbing done as well, and he was able to take care of those needs as well! I was very relieved.
