Ron was a great electrician and very familiar with how to update older wiring common in the 1950's era houses of Tucson. He was punctual and trustworthy in the house. He added two outlets, one for an over the range microwave which required pulling out and updating wiring on the old fuse box. I was satisfied with the quality of electrical work. However, the finish work, specifically the patching completed after the work was horrendous. I don't know if he was just burned out on the job or the job was just too big for one person, but it would have been better if he just left holes in the walls. He cut large pieces of dry wall and just put them up over the old dry wall using what seems like 50 nails per square inch and then just smeared joint compound everywhere, including over the box. We have now spent a solid week and about $300 undoing the weird drywall patching he put in the closet. Overall, the work was just sloppy, there is debris left behind the patching he did and his fingerprints with compound are everywhere. We will have to redo this as we have money to do it, so that the closest will be usable. In pulling out the patching we also uncovered termite damage or dry rot he would have to have seen as he put the new wiring into the box. It would have been nice if he had mentioned this to us, but I don't guess that was his obligation to do so. In retrospect, I would have been really happy with the job, if he had just done the electrical, cleaned a little more thoroughly, and then did not do any of the patching. UPDATE: 2012 Thanks to a water leak in our house we had to do major demo and have had occasion to revisit the work Ron did. What we learned with inspectors is that Wilkowski ripped us off. The new GFI in the bathroom is not correctly installed and will have to be replaced again. He did not create a dedicated circuit for the microwave as he was paid for, instead ran it to another breaker and now we will have to redo that as well as every other outlet he touched. The Inspector, Contractors, and Electrician we are working with now described the Wilkowski work as lazy at best and shoddy at worst. I revised my grade according to our new information and I would NOT recommend Wilkowski to anyone.
Description of Work: Update wiring in old fuse box and install new outlet for over the range microwave. Repaired and replaced the GFI in the bathroom. Patching of the walls.

A family run business that took great care of us. They were previously contracted by the seller of our new house to upgrade the electrical panel to a 200 amp box. I had recommended them to the seller's agent and they used Wilkowski for that job. Very clean work with an attention to safety and doing all work to code. We had them return to do the rest of the work in our home, and we were and are very pleased with the job. We will be using them again. When we had any questions or problems with any of the work completed, they did not hesitate to return and address the issue and/or our concerns.
Description of Work: Updated much of the original electrical (older home)including: replacing and repairing wiring to code, installing motion lights, hard wiring and installing ceiling fans, running new wiring for dryer and installed GFI's in bathroom and kitchen.
