After another roofing company failed to fulfill its warranty to fix shingles blown off during a storm, I contacted West Coast. I spoke with Carolina, who was able to get someone out the same day to do an estimate! I went with the estimate and am so grateful to Carolina and the crew at West Coast for fixing my roof - especially during the monsoon season!

Choppy at first, probably my fault, so to begin with they were at an "A." I met with a head hauncho in admin 2-days 'fore Christmas. He's all on my roof hearing me say I want poly-iso 4" boards, beaches, and then polyflex self-adhesive [yada yada yada], and he's like curling up half a lip all Sean Penn stoner-surfer-style, "Dude, you only need like 3-tab asphalt shingles, [mkay]?" As he relented, his guy in supplies was said to be reaching out , expect a quote once his supplier guy came back after holidays So probably a B here for blinking, reluctance, story/deferral. In weeks following, though, no ownership for his turnabout emerged. When I reminded WCR @BBB of our history, [I'm like furreal, feel me?] my standing expectation [after ignoring my follow up messages], that whiny lil [you know what!] had his lady, some sweet mouthed secretarial assistant, message me that my structure's integrity could not handle his request to flesh out WCR's proposal [no affirmation she even knew what that meant] & materials for installation. To close, he said in person WCR understood, WCR promised follow up, WCR played peekaboo online moving forward, it forfeit my trust, and then perpetrated to beach slap me Michael Jackson style through its white gloved gal as I grit me teeth rasping,"Jesusth Christh," [think of that mistreated "Slave" character]. So I'm all plumb wiggy now, covering over perceived hair loss, and privately snorting "F" mudda effas, yo an effa 2, beach. He's like rubbing sheet all over my project instead of doing as asked per WRC's promise, right? I ended up investing in a 24 gauge standing seam [1992SF] panel product elsewhere, covering over 15 roof openings [vents, skylights, etc]. Job also called for opening of roof deck, scoping inward, blow-in of shred fiberglass by specialist, increasing R-values over 30. No more poly-iso board, yes. No thanks to WCR's smug indifference! Peace, I tell myself now. To my grade for WCR's head hauncho, he's not a terribly bad guy. I mean he showed up, acted with-it, and talked the talk, right? Not an F, "fo sho," but no higher than a C-, personal opinion. Communication matters, dide. He reminds one of the RepulsiveKin's 'rump fellow, passing a 4-year kidney stone, flashy but dubious on merit, baboony. To WCR's analysis that my structure lacked integrity , this was flat out "fake news," their pulling sheet out of their AZs to de-emphasize an utter lack of professionalism internal to their company. Remember Michael with Freddy from Mario Puzo's Godfather? He's like all looking down from a position behind a desk. So he's way down in C- territory by now, a bedside manner demanding massive renovation. His rapport with me was like like an older sibling's taunting. Radio silence & false inferences & implied smirks. Dozens of ROC members were met as my insurance wanted asphalt shingles [replacement value], they paid me off, followed by Notice to spend disbursement, so my interaction with WRC was for dollas spent better. All WRC had to do was remain transparent from get-go and by default & earn an A or B (depending on the consensus of those marketplace reps around them). But oh no, they sent WCR's admin, spoiler alert. WCR did not follow through, word. What follows [above] was my reconstructing events transpired after finishing this review processes , talking through several ROC-members' evaluations. Whew! A note with keen interest, another metal roof contractor featured on ANGIE'S [with an "A" no less!] repeated my original request for poly-iso boards as primo; thus, West Toast's declaration ref: integrity is sad indicator of shady times we're in, friends. Maybe he was just plain lazy, maybe his guy in supplies was out, gawd only knows. Lesson learned, WCR said things out their AZ to cover up idleness while feigning transparency, professionalism, trustworthiness. I wouldn't be surprised if it denies ever coming here, meeting with me on roof, discussing at length project, radio silences, BBB-encounter, note from secretary, etc. That's what you're dealing with, folks, it's mildly predatory , major waste of time. Not exactly the devil himself , this admin guy, but more of a wolf in grandma's pajamas inviting you indoors with an uncanny grin, twinkling blue eyes, and way too much, way too thick hair to be your grandma.

Showed up on time, did a great job, and reasonable price!

They are still working, but we are pleased with the workers and the level of knowledge they have. This was a small job, but they have treated it like a major one. Would recommend them.

I did not hire West Coast Roofing, I went with BMR Roofing, LLC.

Excellent. David and his crew, Nick and Lorenzo, were extremely professional, courteous, and prompt. David explained to me each detail of the repairs. They always cleaned up before leaving. I would definitely hire them again. If you are looking for roof repairs, recoating, or replacement, I highly recommend you contact the professionals at West Coast Roofing. The physical work went very well. West Coast Roofing announces on their website a 10% discount for new customers. This is allegedly included in the estimate but only as a kind of footnote at the very end of the estimate. The customer does not see exactly how the discount in included in the calculation of the estimate. Be aware.

Very easy simple process. West Coast Roofing was on time and did great work. They even repaired an issue caused by another contractor!

West coast roofing is so easy to work with! I went on the web site filled out the form, they came out and did the estimate. Then once I approved it they got my on the schedule and were there on time and got the work done fast. They worked clean and the staff is so nice. I have referred them to my parents, neighbors and 2 employees. I will use them again and keep referring them.

Terrible. There was no direct communication afforded between us and the job crew. The day before the job, a bunch of guys showed up unannounced and suddenly there were guys on my roof delivering shingles. We were never alerted when people would show up. The repair was supposed to make the roof watertight and it made it worse. Water poured through the master closet and from under the wall of the closet when it rained. It took us firever to get hold of someone. The next day some random guy showed up and with no credentials but said he was from West Coast. He went up on the roof and put something around the chimney after asking ME what the problem was! I showed him where the roof was leaking in the house....so i had an unannounced, unexpkained guy in my bedroom while I was alone. He showed me some part he was going to put around the chimney. He didn't have much English and I have no Spanish. Then another guy called my husband and said he'd be there in two days to do a water test. He had never heard that the other guy was out. My husband went up on the roof with him. We passed along the AC guys' comments that the roof was still soft around the AC unit. He dismissed that with the comment that if the crew had found anything, they would have replaced the plywood. He didn't even go over to the AC to check. Today I heard a thumping around on the roof, again unannounced, and I assume someone was fixing the problem they found during the last inspection. Worst experience with a contractor I have ever had, and I don't know if we are done yet.

Excellent ! Finished without a problem. Ryan McDaniel , the owner of West Coast Roofing and his employees are courteous, professional in manners, and willing to help. Very pleasant to work with.

All work was completed according to the estimate. Excellent work was performed and completed in two days.

Prompt and professional

This was just an estimate. The Tech came out, very friendly and professional, however, when he gave me an estimate of $750, I asked if that included an Angie's list discount, or do they offer a disabled veteran discount. The tech said he would have to check with his office and get back to me. The next day I received an email from the office, and my estimate was now $780!! I emailed them back and told them my first estimate was $750 and how could it go up $30 when the tech was going to check on a disabled veteran discount. I received a short curt email that said, this is the price, it will be good until Sept. 15th. Wow, couldn't believe that. Then I had another roofing company do an estimate, ONLY $300-$400 dollars for the same work! The tech told me that he is well aware of West Coast roofing and how they inflate the price.

Ryan inspected the property for buyer and the seller ended up using his bid for the repairs. I really appreciated that he would make extra efforts to help meeting our closing date. He also provides 3 years warranty of work done which reflects the confidence level of his work quality. His ability of identifying the root cause and use of better materials set him at a higher ground.
