UNITED ELECTRIC INC

The electricians (journeyman and apprentice) were punctual in their arrival and immediately started their work. The installation was professionally completed in less time than originally proposed. They demonstrated the operation of each of the fans and the pendant lights. Using a shop vacuum, they cleaned up the spaces where they worked, removed and disposed of the boxes and packing materials. I appreciated the professionalism of the electricians and would definitely use them again in the future.

Steve's estimate was accurate, and his people showed up on time and completed work to our satisfaction.

The electrician came out three times over the course of about three weeks to complete the work. The first time he had a crew come out to replace the service entrance panel. The work took most of one day and the panel was well installed; however, the crew was in a hurry to leave at the end of the day and mislabeled several of the breakers. We called the owner and told him that there was a problem and he sent someone out to fix it quickly and without quibbling. We also had him come out to replace the GFCIs in our kitchen. This was done as an extension of the original contract. They came out at the proposed time and were finished in a timely manner. The work we had done was not inexpensive but the service was good and they showed up when they said they were going to be here. Overall we were pleased with the job that they did and would certainly hire them again if we had other electrical work that needed to be done.

They did the job that was asked and they did it professionally. We assume that they did it according to code because it electrical and super important.

I called United Electric because one of my smoke detectors was beeping. The smoke detectors were over 15 years old and were due for replacement, so I asked United Electric to come replace all of them. They came within 2 days, were very efficient and professional, and I was very impressed. I will call them for any further electrical work I have.

They were so good about giving us several separate quotes when we had to submit them to insurance. They gave us quotes 3 different times (not their fault, it was the insurance company). We were very pleased with their work. They covered everything in the bathroom when they did work. I wish they would have vacuumed when they were done, but I did that and it was fine. They were fast and effective. They made sure I got the colors of fixtures I wanted and even special ordered one that wasn't quite right (on their own, without me even requesting it). I recommend them!

The work they did was good, it was just completely unnecessary. I called because my pool pump was tripping the circuit breaker. United came out to inspect, diagnosed it as a faulty underground cable, and gave me a quote to run a new one. I accepted the quote, they came out a few days later to start work as agreed. Imagine my shock and frustration 5 hours later when the guy rings my doorbell and says "we're all done, but you're going to want to call you pool guy because the pump is still tripping the breaker". I didn't extend my protest beyond the guy at my door at that moment, perhaps that is my fault. But I was given no price concession for the misdiagnosis and complete waste of money and time. Not even a call to apologize or anything. I thought the price was a little high to begin with, but I had a good impression from the initial contact and visit, and I just needed my pool circulating again. On billing, they did not provide a copy of the invoice for me to keep (unless I was to mail a check without a reference). The real culprit was seized bearings in the pump motor. The actual running of the new line (from what I can see above ground) appears to be good work and they left the area in good condition. Based on getting burned for $800, I won't be using them again and I can't recommend them.

I contacted United due to the high overall ratings submitted by a significant number of Angie's list members, but was disappointed when Steve did not show up at the appointed time or any time thereafter. We arranged the appointment on a Thursday afternoon for a visit and estimate to rewire my pool electrical system between 8 and 9 the following Monday. As I write this report the clock says 10:13 and have not received as much as a phone call from him.

This was performed at one of my 3 rental homes in Rancho Sahuarita, AZ. An entire electrical line was out and the tennant says she flipped the breaker to no avail. So I had United Electric go out. The home is about 10 freeway miles outside of Tucson and I had never before been charged an extra transit fee without being told prior to the service. But without informing me first, United Electric charged me an extra hour for transit. Had I known they were going to do so, I would have used another contractor. Other Tucson contractors have charged between $0 and $20 extra for the distancee, and only after informing me before the service was agreed upon. Anyway, United Electric charged me for 2 hours (minus a $25 Angie's coupon) to go out and flip an electrical breaker switch. They charged an extra hour for transit and an hour of labor, again just to flip a breaker switch. They claimed they spent an hour at the site to check the line out after flipping the switch, but my tennant said they were only at the house for 15-20 minutes, including filling out the paper work. This was the worst experience and the biggest rip off I have ever suffered in over 30 years of renting out homes.

The original work was done quickly and the men were polite and professional. Within a week, however, the pool filter stopped working. Since we had just had the wiring replaced, we assumed there was something wrong with the filter itself, and needed help from a pool expert to find out what was wrong. This took him several visits until he brought out his own electrician, who discovered that one of the new wires had some damaged coating and had come in contact with the metal pipe, shorting out. When we called United, they came right away, agreed with the other electrician's assessment, and fixed the problem. They also covered 100% of the charges the pool expert generated in trying to figure out what was wrong. Top notch customer service!!!!!!

Bought a new stove and after the old drop-in stove was removed we determined we needed a new electrical outlet. We contacted United Electric and they installed the outlet. They were prompt and efficient. They had to reschedule because of an emergency but gave us plenty of advance notice.

It was excellent workmanship. Very professional and polite workers. We thought the price was fair and I would recommend highly.

When I moved into my new home, I had not heard about the new "arc fuses" that they starting putting into new homes around 2005. I had built my last home 10 years ago. Resetting an arc fuse is not as easy as simply flipping the switch; you have to make sure to turn it off and push past all three stages. When i tried to reset it on my own, I hadn't cleared all of stages.

The owner came out in the morning to give me an estimate for the work and told me that he could have one of his guys out that afternoon to do it if I would like them to. I told him that would be great. Two gentlemen showed up that afternoon, installed the outlet, and cleaned up afterward. United's phone number is at the top of my "uh-oh" list for future repairs/service. An all-around great group of guys.

We lost electricity in part of the house. After trying the breakers, I called United. They very promptly came out. After about an hour of trying to figure out what was going on, they found the problem: a hidden breaker box, which we hadn't known about in 9 years of living in this house. The technicians were very apologetic about having to charge me for something as simple as that, but I considered it worth the money just to have that mysterious breaker box found.

It all went very well. Poor, unprofessional work had been on the house electric panel by previous owner(s). We found that out when we had our house equipped with photovoltaic panels and electrical devices had to be connected to the electric panel. United Electric assessed the repairs that needed to be done to the panel; they did an efficient work on time, for a very reasonable price. We strongly recommend United Electric.

They were very friendly and they let us know in every step. We give them a A+.

Called steve first thing in morning and he said he could send someone same day. Joel called with an arrival time, He was early and went right to work trying to locate problem. It was a bit of a dilema but he found the loose connections. Joel was very professional and thorough. I would definitely call him for future electrical work. Thanks steve for quick service and thanks Joel for work done.

Over all not good. We called for an appointment and had to wait several days for an electrician. When someone came, it was to give an estimate rather than someone to do a long list of things we needed done in our new home. Because of the misunderstanding by United Electrical, the gentleman did remove the line as our painters were working in that area and needed it removed. However, he looked at fixtures we wanted hung and told us we needed to buy additional parts for our track lighting, something the store insisted we didn't need. We bought them and a few days later they sent an electrician to hang the fixtures. He took almost an hour to replace a simple florescent fixture in our laundry room, then opened the extra parts we bought and said there was a part missing and we had to buy another unit. At $65 an hour at his rate, it might have been close to a thousand dollars to hang 7 more fixtures so I concluded the visit. He left parts of the additional parts his company said we needed all over so and destroyed the box so we could not return it. We hired a handy-man and he jung the fixtures without the additional parts and everything worked fine.

Very professional response in both estimating and in work performed. Readily understood my need. Answered and responded to all my questions and went the extra mile in trying to educate me as to the job request. On time for the estimate, professional and timely response. I was initially concerned about the quoted price and Steve Lambach took the time to explain the estimate and the work. His original estimate was 6 to 8 man hours and the job was completed in 4. Materials were more reasonable and what I expected and well within the estimate. Excellent work! United and Steve have my very highest recommendation. Well done to Joel and Curtis who actually did the work. WELL DONE Gentlemen!

Steve was great. Gave us a 1/2 hour for his arrival. Called before he came. Steve was very thorough and fixed our problem.

First one outlet had stopped working in the kitchen, then later another two. I called, and Joel came out the same day. He was able to diagnose the problems which involved an old outlet that disintegrated when it was removed, and wiring problems affecting operation of the outlets. The work was completed the same day. The next day I had a problem with one of the new outlets, and it was resolved within an hour of my call. Nice people, professional work.

Serviceman came on time. Owner even followed up with me before the call to make sure there wasn't a loose connection that I could look at. Great Service

I was so pleased with Steve wanting to try to solve the problem over the phone before coming out. He was very professional and helpful. I will use his services again and recommend him to others.
