Smoke began coming out of an electrical outlet in the bathroom in the afternoon. We contacted United Electric to do the repair work because of the excellent reviews we found on Angie's List.. From the get go, Steve, the owner, was professional and friendly. After a couple of easy questions, he told us what he thought the problem was and gave us an estimate of the cost. We asked Steve if he would inspect the main outside fuse box on the same trip to see if there were any obvious problems with it. That was a concern because we would be leaving Arizona for several months. He said that he could do that. He promised to have Jose come out the next afternoon to make the repairs and fuse box inspection at 3:00 pm the next day (we called after 3:00). Jose arrived very promptly, diagnosed the problem as a failed dimmer switch and showed us two replacement dimmer switches to choose from. We chose the more expensive one and Jose made the repair in about 15 minutes. He was very professional and pleasant and did not hurry just to get the job done to move on to the next one. He also thoroughly inspected the outside fuse box and assured us that he could find nothing wrong. The final cost was a little above the estimate because of our choice of the more expensive replacement switch, and we were very pleased at the final cost of the job. The price was fair and affordable, and the estimate was accurate. He did not include a charge for the inspection. I will definitely recommend them and use them for future electrical jobs. An all around great experience with a competent, efficient, and friendly local company!

The company called me back right away and we set up an appointment. While the crew was here, one of the guys, Jose, came through the door and a picture fell off the wall and crashed through the table and broke a lamp and a vase. We started to clean everything up, and I thought, I want to see how the company will respond to this, if at all. Within a day Steve Lambach, the owner of the company, called me and apologized and said that Jose felt terrible about everything. Also said that he would call the whole ordeal a wash, and wouldn't charge me for anything at all! Then Jose put my vase back together and the office manger brought it to my home for me! They did an excellent job on all the electrical work and handling the situation. I was little concerned that Jose may incur some sort of repercussions regarding breaking something at my home but Steve assured me that wouldn't happen. I really feel like Steve and the company went above and beyond to make things right.

Fantastic, timely, cost effective and professional... Steve the owner came out for the quote, and priced the proposal very fairly. United handled the permit and shut-off with TEP, and coordinated with dig-safe to have the utility sources marked on the property (very beneficial to my future projects as well, since I am a new owner of this 38 year old home). A pair of electricians showed up promptly on the appointed day at 7am to prep for the shut-off scheduled at 8:00. They were able to drive in the ground rods and assess some external conduit they would have to contend with to install the new larger box. Their work progressed as planned, and timing for the county inspector and his approval to TEP to turn back on service went off without a hitch. The guys completed the entire job before 5:00pm, including having everything clearly labeled in the box. The ONLY minor issue I've found afterwards is the AC and Double Oven circuit labels were reversed - which was easy enough for me to identify and correct. I will be calling United for any future work I need help with

Did a great job. Made me feel very comfortable with the services they performed and the quality of end product they tried to produce.

The wires were distributed around the attic. The temperature was high and they had a man who performed work in the attic. They did a very good job. They left some wires uncapped which was a bit of an oversight. If anyone wants licensed electrical contractors they may check them out.

Technician had a bit of trouble hooking up the DVD player afterward, but all turned out fine.

Excellent quality work. They were on time for their appointment, and performed the work very quickly. I'd use them again without question!

Steve responded to my call and sent Jose who was pleasant and competent in removing and replacing the detectors. He had to come back on the 28th to care for the 2 new detectors that were defective. No qustion in my mind they are the company to handle my electrical issues in the future.

After the job was done! Everything worked out great and done on time. My potential renter became my renter and signed a 4 year lease cause she loved the place. I couldn't ask for more.

United Electric Inc were a little bit pricey. They were pleasant and very nice people.

I really can't explain how well everything went and how professional/efficient they were throughout the entire process. Steve came out for an estimate and wrote up a very detailed contract explaining each line item of the work to be done. The crew (Jose, Trinidad) was excellent as well - very hard-working, polite, and clean. We also added a few tasks to the original proposal in the middle of the project without any complaints ... the can-do attitude was much appreciated. I would recommend United to anyone - top notch.

It started out as good experience with Steve calling informing me his approximate arrival time, to an outstanding experience with the problem being found, a safe temporary fix and a complete plan to correct the short.

The work went very well. They were professional and very friendly. I would use them again.

Called Steve to get a verbal estimate after making approximate measurements of the work that needed to be done. Steve returned my calls quickly and was comfortable giving me a verbal estimate of the cost. He asked the appropriate questions to understand the job and ensure that the folks doing the work had the correct materials. He asked if I wanted him to come to the house to give me a more formal written estimate. I declined and set up a date for the work to be done. The electricians doing the work showed up at the agreed date and time and with the proper materials. Jose and the other person were very effective with their time and communicated with me as they needed to. They did an excellent job in the estimated time. The cost was very close to the verbal estimate provided by Steve and the cost components (materials and labor) had been broken down for me in the verbal estimate. These folks did excellent work. I will not hesitate to have them do more work for me in the future.

The final cost for all of these projects made me decide to get a second opinion, which I have not yet done. In addition, I have never had an electrician who sends two people (electrician and journeyman), which raised the cost for all projects to well over $100/hour. This seemed excessive to me. On the other hand, I was very impressed with his knowledge and thoroughness (especially with the proposals) and his creativity in problem-solving, so I think I would definitely consider letting him bid on future projects.

It took a while and they had to go to the store, but the light works fine.

This company has been extremely co-operative about setting up the appointment. Steve was there early. As I am buying a house, the actual work will not be done for a few weeks. But the estimate was very complete and reasonable.

Steve Was a refreshing person and contractor to meet. With his patience and knowledge he basically took us through the process painlessly. Our main electrical box had some issues that developed and Steve was able to troubleshoot , recommend and schedule the work for the next day. We will have Steve out again for further projects and to hopefully drop by and re work our troublesome main panel box lid. Thank you for the quality service. Bill

Why does it take two men two hours to replace four fluorescent lights? Only special requirements were bulbs and a stepladder. Of course it's easier if you have one person to hand the bulbs to the man on the ladder. And it's easy to do all the talking and none of the work. I just felt they had taken advantage of me. But I'm a 77 year old widow, not really good with ladders, and not good at arguing with two young, presumably healthy men.

From the first visit with Steve to the last with Jose and Trinidad, this was a fun and highly successful experience. They were on time and communicated well with me. They patiently answered all my inquisitive questions. All the little issues and projects were fixed and they even did a few on the fly projects that popped up in the process. They cleaned up well each visit. They offered suggestions to improve the final outcome. As the projects proceeded, I kept finding new projects to do. I will be calling them to come back and complete those new projects I have. The biggest surprise was my bill came in much lower than I had expected. I did get a quote too!

My initial phone call was returned the next day. The team arrived on time and did the work within two hours. The company billed later which I appreciated; I prefer not to have to write a check on the spot when I haven't worked with a firm before. The owner included an Angie's List discount which I had even forgotten to ask about. The fan works perfectly and we're very happy with the job!

They were on time. They were very careful with the ladders in the house as well as with the delicate lighting fixtures. They made sure things were hung at the height I wanted. The work was done quickly but it came out exactly how I wanted.

I made an appointment for an inspection. The owner came out in a timely manner. Called me before arrival as agreed upon. Professional and courteous and knowledgeable. He checked my (20yr old) house main panel and garage. He had some good suggestions and recommendations to bring some things up to current standards. He both emailed and mailed a very detailed estimate outlining everything we talked about, piece by piece, along with associated labored costs per item. It seemed reasonable though I have not had a second estimate for cost comparison. I have not had any work done yet due to the holidays etc and thankfully nothing is urgent. This was worth the cost for piece of mind.

We are very pleased with the work. Wthe ceiling fan works very well and having lighted switches for turning on our bedroom lights is a great feature.
