The company salesman arrived on time and looked professional. He brought the appropriate samples for sheet vinyl and thoroughly examined the small area that needed some extensive prep work. The price ended up costing more than Express Flooring but he seemed to really know what was necessary to do a quality job. We had a tenant moving in and he met our rush needs. There was a small area that bubbled up near the sink. I did not see this during the inspection after installation. The installers responded to our phone calls and took care of the problem before the tenant moved in. I am very happy with this company and would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: We needed a very small kitchen area replaced. There was already a layer of linoleum down and a layer of self sticking tile on top of this (wooden subflooring). The selfsticking tile needed to be taken up before installation of the sheet vinyl. There were also leveling issues as well. The salesman took all these things into consideration. We received a written estimate detailing all the steps involved and breakout costs. This was a special order product and were asked to put half down.
The installation was in the Oro Valley Library meeting room. The writer donated the funds for the purchase. The installation went very well I am told. They were neat and the finished "product" looks good. The reason for the low responsiveness rating was that, after the order was placed, repeated phone calls were necessary to get the job started.
Description of Work: They removed an old/stained carpet and installed a new one.

Overall, the experience was very positive. Jacques is very friendly and professional. I think TCC Flooring America carries very good quality hardwood floors, but they are also very expensive. At times, we felt like we were probably paying too much, but we didn't want to go with a big-box store, where the quality of the wood was less. We really wanted the Kahrs product. Also, overall, we really liked working with Jacques. TCC Flooring America contracted with Mike Swanson, who has his own independent hardwood floor installation business (Southwest Custom Services -- see our separate review). Mike was absolutely fantastic. His attention to detail was superb. We now know that the installation is just as important if not more so than the actual hardwood flooring itself. Thank goodness we got Mike.
Description of Work: We had about 800 ft2 of Kahrs hardwood flooring installed in 4 bedrooms in our house. We worked with Jacques at TCC Flooring America, who is quite knowledgeable about hardwood floors.

Overall the process went quite well. The sales staff was very professional and knowledgeable, but they didn't show much creativity in helping me find the product I needed. The dampness tester recommended that. The staff was extremely casual (not hard-sell) to the point that I had to threaten to take my business elsewhere before they wrote up the contract and set an installation date. I was told to take everything out of the rooms, including pictures off the wall. I killed myself getting ready for the installers and then they were a day late because the product didn't arrive on schedule. The installer was extremely good at installing the floor, but he didn't bring drop cloths to cover my belongings and dust covered everything. He asked me to provide him with several items, like pieces of wood, which I found quite unprofessional. The baseboards weren't very well done. I had to repaint, as he was a floor, not baseboard, installer. The job took over a week.
Description of Work: They removed approx. 1,800 sq. ft. of wall-to-wall carpet and replaced it with vinyl planks that look like wood. I made several trips to the store to search for the appropriate "wood" product and could find nothing that was water-safe. Someone from the store installed a kit to measure dampness under my carpet. He was the one who told me about the vinyl product. I was charged for the dampness kit ($45) even though I had not been told I would be.
