My experience with Harlow Garden’s Tolson Irrigation was a very satisfying experience. I worked directly with Greg Tolson. My experience with Greg was to improve my existing fixtures and add new fixtures to my exterior low-voltage landscaping lighting. Greg was outstanding with his ingenuity and great professional attitude to make sure that every single detail was what I needed. There were some instances where he had to make multiple lighting adjustments with light bulbs and reconfiguring old fixtures as well as adding some fixtures to my existing system. He showed up at exactly the appointment times agreed to and managed his crew with great detail. He provided a contract explaining exactly what we discussed and agreed to do. I called and left a message explaining that I'd like an estimate on repairing an existing irrigation system. It was a day before my call was returned and more than a few days before the scheduled visit. The person who came dismissed the existing system entirely and suggested a whole new system. We explained what we want in the way of irrigation, and he promised to send an estimate within a few days. No estimate seems to have arrived, so I assume he didn't want our business. He won't get it.

The problems that were encountered (poor materials, difficulty in deciphering the layout/organization, etc.) were addressed in a logical & orderly manner as they were discovered. The crew were all responsive to ideas & questions. They showed up promptly each day (5-day job) and worked constantly throughout the entire day.

The initial work went (apparently) well. However, the system started failing a few months after installed. They came back and fixed it but charged me for it. The system kept on failing. I called them but they were unresponsive.I decided to consult with another company. They found that the tubing that Tolson installed gets clogged easily. In order to keep it working it has to be digged out and unclogged with frequency. I had to contract a company to do biweekly maintenance.

They came out the next day and repaired the leak. No problems. Work was done quickly and very well.

All aspects of this project were handled with professionalism and courtesy by all representatives of Tolson Irrigation. This started with the initial contact, survey and estimation process (by owned Greg Tolson). After accepting the estimate, the installation crew arrived on the date and time agreed to. The installation crew were also very courteous and professional. They would keep me apprised of their progress and any potential problems forseen (only a couple of minor issues which they resolved without any schedule or cost impact to me). The project was completed on the exact day that had been projected and the system has worked beautifully ever since. After the installation, Greg came out and gave me a and quot;walk around,and quot; answered all questions that I had and provided me with an excellent and quot;hands onand quot; lesson on the operation of my system. I am completely satisfied with the outcome of this installation project and would highly recommend Tolson Irrigation to anyone needing some professional advice, new system installation or modification/maintenance of an existing system. Controller replacement went smoothly, new controller works nicely and easy to use. They did a reasonably thorough search of the lines for leaks and plugged emitters; missed a few but the ones they did find, they repaired amazingly quickly.

The technician was very knowledgeable and very good at what he did. He did a great job for me. When he left he had taken care of everything I was concerned about. I thought i might have to replace some equipment but he was able to get everything working.

From the get go, the project was done on time and to quote. Tolson's personnel arrived promptly each morning throughout the week long project and cleaned up each day prior to leaving the job site. We were very impressed with Tolson's professionalism, attention to detail and their willingness to do all that was necessary to meet our expectations. Greg even agreed to meet with our arborist prior to the project start to discuss irrigation requirements for our yard and the best way to achieve them supporting our 2 zone system. Prior to placement of the lighting fixtures, Greg and Andy cam to the house one evening after work to lay out the lighting positioning to best feature the trees we wanted highlighted. This session was most helpful in illustrating how to maximize the impact of the lighting on our landscape. Following the project, they returned to finalize lighting placement and to assure that we were satisfied with both irrigation system and illumination system. We were extremely satisfied with Tolson's work, their unique design configuration and their work product. We would have no issue recommending them to others or having them return for further work for us when required.

Fixed the leaks and checked to mke sure all plants were getting water. Came out 2 other times when i had questions. I would definitely use them...

The work went withoug a hitch. They raked away my landscaping pea gravel wherever they were going to dig, and carefully replaced it when they were done. At the end of each day, they left my yards in good order. By the time they finished, no one could tell they had been there. (They did my sister's home years ago, and tunneled under large brick terraces to lay the pipe, without disturbing them at all.) They consulted me whenever there was a question about placement, and all the workers were friendly. They kept at their jobs and took pride in them. On the third day, one of them wanted to show me an acacia bush that had been suffering from lack of water. He had let the still-to-be-completed system drip on the acacia's roots for 3 hours the day before, and it had immediately burst into bloom. They were careful to insure that all the plants received water while the work was going on. They set the control panel for all three lines (trees, shrubs, pots), and watering is going nicely since then. I can't imagine any other service being better!

I have a maintenance contract with them. They come twice a year. They are excellent. They are the best company I have found for repairing the system and installing the irrigation timer box. All they do is irrigation system maintenance, so they are very good.

They did a very good job. They were prompt, efficient and professional. My experience with them was good. They did what they said they would do for the price they quoted. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

EVERYTHING WENT WELL. THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM RIGHT AWAY, MADE SOME SUGGESTIONS TO MAKE THE EQUIPMENT MORE STURDY AND THEN CHECKED ALL THE IRRIGATION DRIPS. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE OVERALL.

They are responsible and professional and do a very good job, but I would be reluctant to use them again because I think they are too expensive.

I could never get a straight answer from the owner, as to when he could get out to my house. After 3 attempts I gave up.

Went very smoothly. Arrived on time and work was done correctly. It now works perfectly.

I contacted Ed from New York to set up an appointment. We decided the work could be accomplished in my absence. The workers were able to repair the leak in the lines, but were not able to provide power to the panel as there was no power outside. This was due to a tripped outlet in the garage. This required another visit upon my return to Tucson, when they had access to the garage. Voila! It took a short while to program the panel and it looks like everything is functioning appropriately. Ed contacted me at every step along the way. I would not hesitate to call the company again if need arises in the future.

Tolson's have been in business for over 40 years. They are a fantastic company. Always polite, quick and thorough getting the job done respectably. They came when they said they would and always worked hard.

I thought the service was great. I learned that my previous company had not set the drip times appropriately for the time of year.

After a year of terrible service from my irrigation contractor, I recently joined Angie's List and found Tolson Irrigation. I called everyone I could find in the phone book. Most Tucson landscapers either never showed up or ignored my requests for help and my current contractor was useless, killing 6 plants. Tolson called me back within two hours of my phone call. I sometimes work odd hours. I was also planning for months to go on vacation, but hadn't found anyone to finish my sprinkler system. Tim Tolson was willing to show up on a weekend two days before I left to accommodate my schedule. They called me three days later, while I was out of town, to offer optional solutions and arrange to complete the work. Within a week of contacting them, the job was done. When I got home I found my plants better than ever, Mr. Tolson had programmed the system, and the plants were all thriving. Tolson Irrigation did a wonderful job at a reasonable price.
