The Sunny Plumber

They were very prompt and able to get a plumber to my house the same day I called. Website says they have experience with all kinds of water softeners and the dispatcher I talked with sb matured me the plumber should be able to repair the issue since he carries thousands of parts. Apparently not the case...They really only service Culligan systems (at least that's what the plumber told me on the phone). I requested service to determine the cause of a hissing sound coming from my water softener. Instead, I paid way more money than i think necessary for a completely different issue. Unfortunately, I was unable to be at the house during this service call. I asked my friend to help, but in conveying my concern on the cost I received a very snooty response of "well, we don't buy our items from Home Depot". I don't care who you buy a PRV from, but $775 for it and install still doesn't make sense to me. Instead of giving me a sensible breakdown of the cost I got that response and the invoice did nothing to clear up the cost breakdown. They were kind enough to give me a military discount, which I appreciate, but the price is still very high for a less than 2-hr job. I wasnt in a position to deny the service, because according to the plumber it would impact all of my pipes if I didn't install NOW. But gouging the price, or not explaining why it is so high, is unacceptable. On top of all of that, the initial issue did not get resolved. I was just told I had to buy a new system. There was no explaination of what was wrong, or suggestions on how to fix it. Instead i just got sent an estimate for a $4,200 system to "fix" my $500 system.

We called several weeks ago to make an appointment for today, trying to get in as early as possible in the day...they said they'd be here between 9 and 1pm, not ideal but ok. The dispatcher called 5 times to keep delaying their arrival, finally showing up around 3pm just to say they couldn't do the job today and quote us over $1500 for something we had done in New Mexico for $200. We had also made the job clear when making the appointment but they showed up clueless. No thank you, move on if you value your time and money.

What I don’t like is part of their deal, when you buy the extended maintenance package, it says that they drain and fill the water heater. When the guy was there from Sunny plumber, the he wouldn’t drain it because he was afraid to turn this off that it would break. And I felt like saying, what a minute, we are paying you to basically open that and drain it. If you’re a chicken or afraid to, we need our money back. Or either try and open it and drain it and if you break it, we get a new water heater. The price, it’s hard for me to say that because we bought the 2-year protection plan with them and that was wrapped up in the price in the heating and air conditioning unit. You bought this and it included them, you couldn’t pick another plumbing outfit. I would definitely use a different plumber if I had my choice.

The sponge was not found, which left me with some concerns, but the toilet has been working perfectly ever since. As well, the process left an awful mark on the porcelain, but the plumber instructed me how to remove it and I was thrilled with the final result.

They were very diligent and did good work. The price was very high, but they spent 12 straight days on the project. I would recommend Sunny Plumbers.

They claimed in their ad that maintenance on solar hot water heaters was part of what they did. They came out and looked at our solar hot water heater and gave us a bid saying they knew how to work on it. They then proceeded to not have the proper tools, knowledge or proper parts to complete the job.

I own a rental property in Tucson, AZ. My property manager called Sunny Plumber to clear a clogged bathtub drain. After calling around Noon they gave us an arrival time of 1pm - 4pm. The plumber showed up around 4:30pm. The plumber said there would be a service fee just for showing up and explained what would probably be required. The plumber then spent quite a while trying to figure out the price and said it would be $299. For unclogging one drain. This amount is at least three times what a typical cost for a simple unclogging would cost. The amount is outrageous and the only reason I approved was because it was close to the end of the day on a Friday and the renters needed it taken care of immediately. They spent a total of 45 min on the property (some of the time doing their own paperwork and figuring out the price). That amounts to $6.66 per minute for this service. The drain did get unclogged and in their receipt they suggested a camera inspection - which for $299 should have been included. They also noted after their service, the drain was slow but working. So they did not even clear the entire obstruction. Perhaps a camera inspection is a good idea, but not from this greedy unscrupulous company. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY unless you get a quote before the service, have a chance to get another quote from another company and don't do in an emergency.

As soon as they left my dishwasher didn’t work. This was due to them not hooking up the plug accordantly. So I had to wait another week for them to fix their mistake.
