I had a horrible experience with Temperature Control. My AC stopped working on July 3rd 2023, I hired Temperature Control to diagnose the issue. I already suspected it was the blower fan motor, and Tony the Tech from Temperature Control confirmed my suspicion. However, he made it sound like a nightmare, claiming it was a rare "legacy" part that would be extremely difficult and expensive to obtain. He even went so far as to say he couldn't provide an accurate estimate. After disappearing into his truck, Tony returned with what he called "4 options" for me, each with shockingly high prices ranging from $2,186.43 to a staggering $21,874. The fixed included a $701.55 charge to clean the blower wheel. As if that wasn't enough, he then tried to convince me to purchase a completely new AC system, persisting for about 30 minutes. Seeing through their tactics, I told them I needed time to think and sent them away. Refusing to be taken advantage of, I decided to call another company for a second opinion. They promptly examined my AC and fixed the issue for a mere $560, which included a simple cleaning of the blower wheel using a basic hose. I asked the other company if it was a hard blower motor to obtain and they stated that it was the most common motor. In my opinion, Temperature Control operates in bad faith, preying on people in vulnerable situations. Their attempt to exploit my urgent need for AC repair by proposing exorbitant prices and pushing unnecessary replacements is utterly despicable. I strongly advise others to steer clear of this company and seek more honest and reputable alternatives.

Reggie and Cesar earned 5 stars working on the outdoor faucet under an umbrella in pouring rain. They were actually a little early, very professional. Job was done well and they have my request next plumbing etc job I have.

While their quote was higher than others, they included many items we wanted and threw in the water heater as a bonus. Once we decided, they were out in 2 days and completed all the work in one day. Clean, neat, professional and explained everything after to ensure we knew how it worked. They even sent a QC inspector the next week to confirm everything was done correctly and answer questions. Top notch.

The technicians, Al and Pablo were excellent. We had a strong rotting smell in a small bathroom, suggesting a sewer backup problem. They came promptly and examined the situation, including crawling under the house to inspect the everything. They found that our problem was not a sewer. Then they searched in the bathroom itself, and determined that it was an animal nest right under the sink vanity. They were quick, pleasant, and efficient. Because the visit was so fast and not a plumbing problem, they volunteered not to charge anything. If we have other problems potentially serviced by Temperature Control, we will surely call you next time.

To say we were happy with Temperature-Control would be an understatement of the nth degree. We hire T-C to install a new, high-end Trane heat pump & air handler in our home. At every step they were professional & responsive. They showed up on time, sent pictures of all employees visiting our property, answered every question we asked and a few we hadn't thought of. The work was done on-time, everything was clean and neat and they checked in at many steps in the process to ensure we were happy and understood what was going on. So far we're 2-3 weeks in with the system and it's operating great. I would recommend this company quite enthusiastically to anyone looking for a new heating/cooling solution in their home.

They were a good company to work with.

A-maze-ing. These guys were GREAT - I won't be calling anyone else in the future. First, they spoke to the woman in the house exactly as they did to the man - no dumbing it down for the ladies. Physically showed me what was going on and explained it well so I understood what was needed and why. They let me know which repairs needed to be done immediately and which could wait - no hard upsell at any point. They set reasonable expectations for what improvement I could expect with each step. Polite, friendly and helpful, showed up well within the estimated window. Before each visit I got a text with the name and picture of the tech who was on their way and a phone call from them to confirm. In 5 visits I worked with only 2 point people, meaning they weren't having to start from zero every time someone walked in. They charge by the job, not the hour, meaning the work was done quickly, but with quality. I had someone I know take a look at the work and they said everything looked very well-done. After each step they followed up with me by phone to find out if I wanted/needed anything else. In short, I had a shockingly great experience with them and can't recommend them highly enough.

While their diagnosis was good I ended up **** the work myself.

The crew was here early the next morning, on time, and installed the unit very professionally. They cleaned up old wiring and put the unit in in a meticulous way. No loose wires, as before, and everything easy to get to. They went over the operation of the unit completely, including cleaning certain elements to have a more efficient operation. Before leaving, they completely cleaned up the back yard, taking all debris from the installation and the old unit with them. When they left, there was no sign they were there. The next week, the office called, and made an appointment (exactly, as promised) for cleaning and sealing the vents. Again, the crew that came to clean and seal were extremely professional, and the house was left clean. At the end of that appointment, Sean came back out to be sure everything was as promised, and it was. There was nothing left out, there were no promises not kept totally. This company is professional, and the quality of work is fantastic. Oh, by the way, the new unit works so wonderful, and we are Completely Satisfied!

This "one day" installation turned into a five day ordeal. A defective unit was installed the first day, but since the tech didn't bother to check it I had to spend the night with family. I called that afternoon, but no help was dispatched until i called again two HOT hours later. The next day they finally replaced the unit so late they had to pay for me to stay in a hotel. That weekend and Monday the house was marginally cooler, but after the 4 hour vent cleaning late Monday (that they don't mention when you buy) it was discovered that the same tech who didn't check his work the first day hadn't connected the vent to half my house the second day. I was offered no compensation for the five hot days and wasted electricity, no follow up to confirm satisfaction, and the incompetent tech left water on and garbage including at least 4 sharp screws on my patio.

2 properties, additional problems identified were overstated as to significance and cost

A 4-ton SEER 13 single-speed compressor and corresponding single-speed air mover was replaced with a SEER 21 with a two stage compressor and variable speed air mover. Everything could not have gone any smoother. The various specialists came on time with little gap between one completing and the next one starting. The basic installation, consisting of system leak test, removing the old system and installing the new system was completed in 5 hours. A subsequent duct cleaning, new pressure test and QC audit was equally efficiently done. All workers were polite, professional and cleaned up any dropped installation. All packing and the old system was removed. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Because of numerous past horrendous experiences, I was very hesistant to commit to a company and having any work done to my house. I had received so much misinformation from many HVAC companies that made me even more leery. Temp-Con was very understanding. They took time in person and via email, texting, and phone to answer my numerous questions. Everyone was patient and never pushy. The warranty and servicing was for two years which was a lot better than the one-year most companies offered because they seem to stand by their workmanship and equipment. The price I paid for a comparable unit and installation was one of the lowest estimates I received. AND the price from Temp-Con included duct cleaning and new vent registers and return grills!!! The installation took longer than expected, primarily because of unexpected problems with the house but everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I strongly recommend Temperature Control to all my friends and family members.

Vance the owner is very service oriented. He had us come out to his home because we were concerned with the noise of the HVAC unit. We went to his home and everything was great and affected our choice to go with them going forward. We collaborated with the installation and worked with us on everything.

Installation went well. All workmen were courteous and professional. The only problem I had was the lack of communication from the office. An appointment made in the home was not given to the scheduler. A workman called that he was on the way and I had not been notified that the unit needed additional inspection at a time when the outside temperature was warm enough for the testing. These were minor matters. A workman was dispatched quickly when I called about a noise from the unit that I couldn't identify, diagnosed the problem (air leak at intake), and fixed it for me. Overall, I am quite satisfied.

They were fine. Our heater sucks. The guy explained a lot of stuff. He let us know about the warranty. He was very helpful. Everything was working well. There no big issues. We just wanted him to check it before we turned it back on. I was happy with him. He was a nice guy.

It all went smoothly and he checked the air handler and condenser. There were no problems with my HVAC.

It turned out fine. They were very, very nice throughout the process. It was no surprise to me that I needed a new unit. It was over 20 years old and making a noise. It had rust and leaking and all kinds of other problems. They were very honest about the whole thing and I did not feel they were trying to sell me something I did not need. I already knew I needed it. The unit was pretty expensive, but I don't have a comparison.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for the service. The installation and everything was done on time. As far as I know everything went smoothly. It did not take them very long and the unit has been working well ever since. The only problem I had with them was a couple of questions and I had trouble getting call backs. They were very punctual. I was hardly around them. I just met the guy when he came in and then I had to leave.

They are a new A/C dealer and they do service on the stuff that they install. They were good and were on Angie's List. That was a very good experience. The owner of the company is personally involved in his installations. He was actually there during the entire installation making sure that everything was proper. He helped the service people when they had a couple of difficulties so he was right there making sure there were no delays and everything was done right. I think personal interest from the owner himself is the biggest thing. I am sure he does not do that on every job, but they do it with new customers because it is important to him. The pricing was superior to other home improvement/hardware big box retailers and a couple of other contractors I checked. They were the most knowledgeable and had the best price by, maybe, 20-percent.

We used a different firm, well-known and respected in Tucson, but they could not fix anything. They came out nearly monthly because something or another wasn't working with the furnace, AC, humidifier, or wine room. They told us something was broken in the wine cooler and would cost $3,000 to replace. When we called Temperature Control for a second opinion, it turns out there was only a loose wire. Vandy was the technician. Now we have switched to Temperature Control and haven't had any unscheduled service calls. We selected a new type of cooling system for the wine room. It was expensive to do this. We got quotes from five companies. Termperature Control's price was in the middle. I highly recommend Temperature Control.
