The owner came out and gave us an estimate in a timely manner. He had very good and practical ideas on designing our kitchen backsplash. We ended up going to a different installer mainly because of the price difference.

They were very timely and very professional, from the time I called for the estimate to the time the backsplash was installed was only 3 days. They cleaned up thoroughly when they were finished and answered any questions I had regarding care and cleaning of the backsplash mosaic tiles. While Stan (the owner) was here I asked him for an estimate for a bathroom remodel.....the estimate for the kitchen was right on the money. I will definitely use his company again.
Description of Work: I had a new backsplash installed in my kitchen. I had picked out some mosaic glass tile so there was quite a bit of cutting involved as it was a basket weave design and several outlets to cut around. The whole installation took approximately 3 hours from start to finish and I could not be more satisfied with the results.

We were very satisfied with the project and it's outcome. Stan and his crew were timely, completing the project on schedule and followed through with all aspects of the job. They were friendly and showed a genuine concern for our possessions. They made every effort to minimize the inconvenience of what is a disruptive and messy job. They worked hard and effectively as a team. I observed the care they took in making difficult cuts to fit the tile and the pride they took in doing a quality job. One of the team was injured midway into the job and Stan got a replacement that stayed with the job until it was finished. Stan makes an effort to listen to what you want but is willing if asked to make suggestions based on his years of experience working in tile installation. We feel we got a high quality job that we are pleased with.
Description of Work: Removal of improperly installed tile throughout the house and complete installation of 975 sq ft. of new porcelain tile. This included two custom floor designs, and backsplash in the kitchen. Moving furniture and and reinstallation of plumbing fixtures as needed was included in the bid, which included all materials and labor.

Since I decided not to use Southwest Tile - my only experience was with the estimate. The labor estimate was in line with the other estimates and Stan did get me a good price on the tile that I found -- but I did find another tile and went with another installer.
Description of Work: I only had a estimate from Southwest Tile. Stan was prompt and very professional. He gave us an estimate within days of doing the measurements. I had received several quotes and the only reason I did not place the work with Southwest Tile is because I found the tile that I like with another Tile Installer. I would not hesitate to use Southwest Tile in the future.

Everything went better than I could have asked for. Stan found the best price on the tile for me. He showed me excellent examples of his work before I made a commitment. He was professional throughout the whole process. His workmen were equally professional, considerate and timely. The end result was a floor that exceeded my expectations in beauty --- product and installation. Very easy to work with. I think the floor will last several lifetimes, but I would use them again without hesitation.
Description of Work: Removed existing tile, carpet and prepped floors for the installation of travertine tiles throughout the greater space of the house.

The boss and workers arrived Monday morning at 7:00am. They immediately determined how they would lay the tile and how the furniture would be moved each day. The first day, they did the upstairs bath and the outer perimeter of the house. the next day, they moved the furniture to from the bedroom, and started to work in their. at the same time they tiled part of the laundry and part of the kitchen. (they left is so we could get to the frig and microwave). this was after they had removed the washer, dryer, stove, and frig. on Wednesday and thursday, the two workers completed everything except the bedroom area. Friday , they completed the bedroom area, grouted bedroom and sealed. moved furniture back into bedroom. grouted laundry and half of great room. then waited a couple of hours, moved furniture to other side and completed grouting and sealing. Sealing was done with a seal that could be applied immediately without waiting. They were done friday afternoon. they cleaned the work area and left. We were well pleased with the work.
Description of Work: Installation of 800 square feet of 20inch tile set diagonally on 1st floor of home without removing furniture. Tiled laundry, kitchen, great room, bedroom, two baths, one closet. Removed baseboard and tile from one bath. Removed/replaced toilets. We liked them because they were willing to work around the furniture and we we discussed how to lay the tile, they were concerned with how the tile would look when you first came into the home. The home had shiny concrete floor so these had to be prepped with Fractureguard. Price did not include cost of tile which was purchased from Sierra tile. The workers arrived on time, worked hard and were thoughtful of the fact that we had to live in the house with two cats. We wanted the tile set close (1/8 inch). They worked and ground tile to make sure that this was accomplished. I would use them again. They cleaned up at the end of each day.
