Description of Work: We just re-landscaped our front yard. We started with a competitor who was very expensive and very unresponsive. We contacted Santa Rita to work up a design for the yard. The plan was similar but more extensive and at half the cost. We contracted with them and they did the work in way less time than the time frame of the other contractor. Santa Rita went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect for us. Their crew was excellent and we are extremely pleased with the work, the look and the price.

Description of Work: Santa Rita are slime bags. If they do only a basic front yard, they give you the smallest scrawniest Charlie Brown trees, don't replace the flimsy 2' bamboo poles with 6' sturdy ones. If any tree or plant dies in 1st month, yes they will replace it if you catch it, but they 1st try to blame the customer. Most people do not move in immediately. When their crews work in the neighborhood, they do not respect other resident's property on either side, they wheel their wheel barrows & short cut across yards, one even ran over a plant w/bobcat & told me to call warranty! They mess up another yard they do not automatically fix it unless you yell at them. They do NOT follow HOA rules. The dump gravel & dirt in road not on tarps as required, they follow their own standards not the community's. Even the Co-owner Garret Ham said, when I asked for upgraded plants I paid extra for & set per our plan, "He would have to pay his people extra to THINK, so that's why had to pay extra & he's not sure what we would get in the end." BUT if you have them do your entire yard front & back its a different story you will get nice plants, yet they again do not follow HOA set back rules. Its like they are above the rules!

Description of Work: Using an Angie's list coupon, we visited with Ed for about 90 minutes at Santa Rita Landscaping for a design plan for redoing our back yard. We took photos of our property with us, as well as photos of ideas which intrigued us from a variety of sources. They came up with a truly inspiring and beautiful plan for us, though we have not contracted with them to complete the project. As much as we loved it, after considering it for a couple of weeks, we feel that it is too ambitious for our 45-year-old home in this neighborhood and too costly for our current budget. We have not used anyone else instead. In any case, we would recommend Santa Rita Landscaping highly for their skill and professionalism.

Description of Work: Special price offered on landscape design. At first they were very very slow. Once I complained to the office they were very responsive and got back quickly. My project was limited to suitable plant selections so can't really evaluate a total project from design to completion.

+ 1 moreThe entire process was very professional and customer focused. Our initial meeting with Rich Doering, who created a design plan to our specifications was great. Rich made a real effort to listen and created the "low care" yard we asked for. Brian and his crew were professional, courteous and hard-working. They finished one day early! Jerry Bell came to our home for a detailed job review. He answered all of our questions and listened to our concerns. Chris Berg did our final walk-thru, replaced plants that were stressed and adjusted the drip system where needed. Jasmin and office staff were also very courteous and pleasant. We are extremely pleased with the outcome of our yard, especially the water feature. So beautiful! We would certainly recommend Santa Rita Landscaping to our friends and neighbors.
Description of Work: Landscaped our back, front and side yards. Added river rock, decorative rock and a water feature.

+ 0 moreThey were good. They come out to spray for bugs and weeds. Last year it was every month and this year it is every three or four months. It is a huge company so they do all of the landscaping and all of the new homes in the block we are at. The price varies depending on the plan I go with but it was worth it for what we paid. They are excellent. If the weed pops up or there are bugs you call them and redo it. I will tell others not to be afraid to use him because they fix things that they don’t do if you don’t have a plan and they did the back yard. They will come and pull the dead weeds out within reasonable amount of time. I am happy with the price. There could be somebody who is cheaper out there but I don’t know if their service is quite as good. They are really good with the quality of work. Even if I call to change an appointment or say I have weed popping up they immediately schedule me to have somebody come out and take care of that.

+ -1 moreThe company was very professional . I got the feeling, however ,that its business plan doesn't allow for much flexibility in itr approach to a project. I got the feeling that it's either "go big or go home."
Description of Work: I purchased a design consultation and landscape plan. I was able to make an appointment fairly quickly and met with one of the company's designers. He took is time to discuss my wants and needs and didn't rush things. He was very professional in explaining the process, specific materials, different types of plant materials, etc. About a week-and-a half later, I met with the designer again. He had a professionally rendered design plan prepared, along with spec. sheets for all of the selected plantings. The plan was broken into three phases, representing three areas around my house. The designer was very good at breaking down the estimate for the three phases. The estimate was a bit higher than I had expected, and represented an investment which was disproportionate to the value of my house. I told the designer I had to think about whether and how I might go forward with the plan. I needed to take the plan and actually picture it in the actual setting, and think about what might be tweaked, what could be done in phases, etc. . About a week later I received a follow-up call from the company. I explained that I was concerned about the cost and whether it made sense for my particular property, or whether I might better off undertaking a less ambitious project. I was invited to come in to explore "value engineering" of the project. I met with the designer to discuss what could be changed, but we couldn't seem to 'engineer" the cost downward. It seemed that for every item removed, a different tweak would add the cost right back in. I ultimately decided to forego the general contractor approach which Santa Rita represented, and instead undertake smaller projects over time.

+ 1 moreMet with Garrett and went over what we wanted to do in our back yard. Garrett asked lots of questions about views to what kind of activities and plants and gravel or bricks . He showed pictures and samples of what the stuff looked like. Told us that he would call when the design was ready. When it was ready we went and he showed us the plans and had pictures of the plants for us even had estimate ready if we wanted them to do the work. The plans were ours to take with us. I would recommend them to friends .

+ 2 moreSalesman/designer in showroom office was sensitive to my budget. All upgrades were suggested by me. Salesman/designer and I met three times over a couple weeks and also used email, to finalize plans. Landscape design installation was scheduled to begin within one week of signing contract, however it was delayed for three weeks due to my business travel schedule. Once work began, the workmen were prompt, efficient and professional. My yard had to be accessed through the 'common area' in my development. The workmen left it in great condition -- No complaints received from the Homeowners Association! Following the completion of the job, the landscape supervisor met with me at my home to review the work, answer my questions, and review a booklet the company provided me with everything related to the job as well as maintenance instructions. I also received a thank you email with survey attached from the company office manager, and a thank you email from the construction manager which contained contact information if I have any problems or concerns over the next 12 months.

Description of Work: Santa Rita Landscaping was contracted to provide a custom design for landscaping plants, outdoor kitchen, front and back patios for our new Arizona home. The design included several features specifically requested by the home owners. One was a water fountain in the front patio. The construction and planting began on the date scheduled and was completed in about 3 weeks. The landscaping (including each of the plants) was guaranteed for 1-year. Since completion the customer service has returned replacing several plants and adjusting the fountain.

+ 1 moreI met with one of the co-owners to get an estimate for desired work. The appointment was very informative and I felt much more informed and reassured of what I was looking for after the meeting. When I was ready to have the work done a second meeting took place and all the specifics were addressed (types of plants, types of materials, amount of hardscape's ect.). There was much input from the owner, upon my request, as to what would look best. There was never any pressure to make a decision and all of my questions were answered. A plan was ultimately created and a work date was set. The date was pushed back due to a scheduling conflict by a few weeks. Once the rescheduled date came the work was completed as planned. Considering the large amount of work scheduled, it was very impressive that it only took two days to complete (including a start with a delivery of all products, to the finish of cleaning up all work areas). I couldn't be more pleased with the end result! After the work was done a final walk through appointment took place covering all important maintenance and warranty issues with the plants and other work. I feel extremely confident that the highest quality work was preformed in my yard and would choose this company for any additional work.
