 + -1 moreWe couldn't be happier with the house. The builder's challenge was to ensure the exterior of the house conformed to some rigid requirements of the historical preservations commission but was also completely modern and up to date on the inside, while being as green as possible. The house not only met, but exceeded our expectations. It has been featured on the AIA architectural tour in October 2011, won a prestigious Architecture Magazine award, and is currently featured in the Spring issue of Luxe magazine. Throughout the entire process, Luis was responsive, had knowledgable and expert subcontractors, and worked well with the architects.
Description of Work: Luis Ibarra is the owner and operator of Saavy, Inc construction. We hired him to serve as the principal contractor for our architect-designed new home. This new home is a very contemporary home built in a one of Tucson's historic downtown residential districts and was a challenging build involving many green features, including ICF block. Luis organized the overall build and managed all subcontractors to completion of the home. We were working on a tight schedule because planning permission had taken longer than anticipated because of the lengthy historical preservation review. However, Saavy, Inc brought the project in on schedule -- just 8 months from start to finish -- and on budget.
