He couldn't do the job

Keith arrived on time, was very pleasant and got right to work. He showed us exactly how to handle self closing hinges and had the work done in 20 minutes. In short, the entire experience was perfect.

A great job from beginning to end. Very professional & friendly.

Arrived on time. Worked at a rapid pace and seemed conscious of the use of time (I am from Washington state and had a lot of difficulty with subcontractors wasting time on phone calls, etc when they were being paid hourly). It was refreshing to have someone that responsibly used his time working on the house. The only advice to have a visit go better would be to have all the parts needed bought and ready for the handyman. A trip to the store to get something can add to cost. Compared to MANY people I have used for work on a house before (we built our previous house), this company did a great job on time and quality.

I hired Ronnie's to redo the shower tile and tile the floor in the bathroom of a condo that I own, but my son lives in. I do not live in Tucson; I live in Yuma, so had to oversee the project from afar. I realized the shower substrate might need attention in addition to just retiling. Ronnie's found termite damage and so had to remove wood in the wall and the floor beneath the tub and reframe it, including a window, prior to putting in new backerboard, and prior to retiling. Everything took a long time to finish and at $49 per hour, it just kept on costing. After I deposited the first $1,500, I didn't hear from Ronnie again. I worked with Ashley, the accountant, and Erik, the one doing the work. I had to get a pest control company to spray the wood that was being installed against reinfestation; Ronnie's was helpful with that. I paid that company $225 for their work. Ronnie's also removed the flooring and the wood under the flooring and reframed the floor, before installing a new substrate and tiling it with ceramic tiles to match the shower. Eric took out the wall cabinet (I'm not sure why). The toilet and the sink also had to be removed because the new flooring raised the level of the floor. While uninstalled the toilet was broken, in part, through my son's fault. He did some drywall repair because of water damage on the wall behind the toilet. He replaced badly needed plumbing fixtures and connectors. All of the work appears from the pictures to be well done. Everything seemed to take a long time, but I don't have any way of knowing whether it was truly justified. I urged Ronnie's to try to be more efficient in making their runs to the store for materials and/or discount that time as picking up supplies didn't constitute skilled labor. Another issue was that Eric laid the shower tile to accomodate the fixtures that were in place before the repairs, but the new fixtures were not configured the same way, so extra time was spent trying to bring that to closure. Next time he will look at the plumbing fixtures before he lays the tile. In their favor, they discounted my bill by some $600 (It would have been over $6,000) because of multiple trips to stores and the face plate problem. This discount also included the replacement of the toilet, which they paid for. In looking at the pictures of the condition of the bathroom before repairs, I can say Ronnie's did a real good job of taking care of the problem. It was just way more expensive than I expected. I would probably recommend them to a friend with a caution about what $49 per hour can mean once you get in the middle of a project and must finish. All in all the experience was acceptable. I chose an handyman service rather than a remodeling contractor because I did not want have the luxury of redesigning anything. I wonder if using a contractor would have resulted in a set price for the job so that the problems we ran into might not have added so much billable time to the project.

Prompt appointment for estimate. Prompt scheduling of repair. Everything done as promised and on time.

The job went extremely well, when Keith removed the old tub he found mold which caused a minor delay but all other delays, which were also minor, were my fault for not having the required parts at the right time. Ronnie's kept me well informed during the project and Keith did an excellent job on the tile work. I consider Ronnie's to be crafts people of the first rank and will absolutely use them again.

The quote was about $800. The price was fair. I decide to go with another roofing company because they addressed a couple more issues that came up, so I felt that they were a little more adequate to do the job. I didn't interact with them much. They were nice. The guy who came out was professional. They came when they said they were going to come to look at it. There were no complaints at all.

I would use their service again. I believe they are a bit overpriced.

It was a difficult installation and they did fine. They showed up on time and did the job. You can depend on them. It was a little expensive for me but they did the job. It was expensive because they charge you for travel. I have used them twice and they did fine.

Ronnie did excellent overall. Ronnie walked through the house to gather the information for the bid.

Individual arrived at designated time and started work promptly. When estimate was done, materials needed were listed and craftsman came prepared. We were able to arrange a time that would coincide with my time off from work and it worked out well.

WOW, from start to finish, RHHS was amazing. Prompt to call us back after we left an email thru Angies List (even on a Holiday!!!!), quickly described how they would handle the task, showed up on the dot, and efficiently hung this giant mirror. Since they work by the hour, and we needed 2 people (my husband just had surgery and could not assist), the price might seem high, but they had 2 people show up- as needed, so I totally understand (otherwise it would have been half this price). They were finished so quickly that they went ahead and looked at a leak we have in our guest bathroom -bath, and found the issue (we had a Plumber "fix" this before--- NOT!) So, once I get a chance to buy the new fixtures & plumbing stuff - i will have them come back out and take care of it. I really liked how upfront they were about what it was going to cost me, and also, how perfect they did the job! I always value efficiency and great service, so I hope they stay in business for a long time as they are now our "handyman".

First of all we have house in Tucson but live in Portland Oregon so it is extremely important to us that we have people scheduled when we are in Tucson. We met Ronnie a few months prior to having the actual work done. He came out looked at what we needed and gave us a quote. Once we were ready to come back to Tucson we called Ronnie and scheduled the work. One of his crew came out and did the general tree trimming and pruning of bushes around the house and hauled away the yard debris. A second employee, Keith came out and did all of the work inside of the house. He fixed two leaks one in the bathroom and one in the laundry room. The biggest task was to tackle the master shower. We wanted to avoid if possible gutting the entire shower. Keith did a fantastic job pulling out all of the tiles to identify the extent of the damage and determined the root cause. The bottom 1/4 of the shower including the floor was identified as bad. He determined the leak had started from bad grout joints in the wall causing water to leak behind the tiles subsequently causing all of the damage. He was able to remove all of the "bad" material until it was clear that the rest of the shower was free of damage. He treated the area and came back the next day to replace with new backer board, sealant and etc. On the third day he installed new tile that we had picked out to match the existing tile and on the fourth day he grouted the shower. The entire project was complete before we left Tucson to return to Portland. They did a great job and were very prompt and professional. They clearly communicated what they found along the process and made sure we were comfortable with the direction they were taking. They also did a very good job of cleaning up at the end of each work day. I would hire them again.

On the day of, Ronnie called to confirm that I still needed their service and that Keith would be on his way over. Keith came in and installed the fan. He was quick, accurate, courteous, friendly, and very professional. The whole experience went without issue and I will be calling them first next time I need a handyman!

I had them out for two different occasions. They did a great job and I was really happy with them. I felt their price was very comfortable for what they did. I would most definitely use them again in the future and I have also recommended them to people.

I had purchased a foreclosed property that had been empty for several years and had been abandoned in the middle of a remodel. Their was no paint on the walls, different levels of texturing on the drywall, doors missing, and various other odds and ends. Originally I had planned to do the work over time by myself but after several delays in closing I decided to gets quotes for the interior painting and look into the other projects. Keith from Ronnies Home Service was the only person that listened my my thoughts and actually understood what I was looking to accomplish, he was very straight and direct about what would work and why something would not. Overall I was very pleased with my dealings with Ronnies Home Service and the only reason I didn't make excellent for quality is that they had made some small oversights...which they came back promptly and took care of (to be fair it became a very long list of small projects that kept growing) I would certainly consider using their services again.

Ronnies repair man was courteous and knowlegable, cleaned up after his work, came when said they were coming and have no complaints.

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had! My first impression wasn?t good because the technician who arrived for my appointment was dressed like a slob. He started work by looking at the cast-iron kitchen sink, and almost called a coworker for help. I actually had step in and tell him how to perform the job. Therefore, I don't think he was knowledgeable. Also, his caulk work on the sinks looked bumpy, and not nicely finished. Even after I pointed this out, he wasn?t able to properly fix the issue. The laundry room faucet was crookedly installed. It took the technician no less than three times to get it right. In fact, I had to be there in the room with him to help to ensure the faucet was centered. I had to pay an hourly, and I didn?t get any type of deal for extra time he spent correcting his mistakes. After the job was complete, I had to clean my home because he left a mess everywhere. I will never call these guys again. UPDATE 3/18/11: Ronnie was true to his word, as you can see in his "Provider Response" below. He really is all about customer satisfaction. He sent one of his most experienced technicians, Keith, to correct any issues and while at it he installed a replacement faucet I had recently purchased for the kitchen. Keith is very professional, very knowledgeable & personable and he did an all around superb job. Ronnie charged me nothing for this return visit. Consequently, I am changing my ratings to reflect this excellent follow-up experience and want to express my thanks to Ronnie and his staff for their integrity. I will be calling them again!

This was my first time using Ronnie's but definitely won't be the last. My HOA requested that I repair or replace a gate and Ronnie's came out, built a new gate to my specifications and replaced it. They are very easy to deal with and did a great job at a reasonable cost.

Ronnie's service is reliable and trustworthy. If they can't fix something, they will recommend someone for the next step. They found the cause of a roof leak that cost me $90 instead of $600. They are not the cheapest handyman service around, but they are worth the extra money. And, all of them go for extra training all the time. You cannot go wrong with these people. Since late 2008, I haven't had problems I couldn't fix, so haven't used them.

All lights are working with no new problems from digging dogs

Ronnie is on the other side of Tucson so he recommended a Handyman on my side of town, Cappy's Handyman Service. Cappy did an excellent job and I continue to use him for fixes around the house! Thanks Ronnie for being so quick to respond and recommending someone I can trust.

Ronnie's guy showed up when expected and was very professional and polite. He completed each project in a timely manner before moving on to the next. After all the work was done he cleaned up any mess that was made and asked if there was anything else that I needed him to look at before he left. Great service!!
