Rite Way Heating Cooling & Plumbing

Description of Work: I replaced the main water heater, A.C. and furnace at out residence. Their estimate was higher than my other two estimates but I feel I was given so much more. They uncovered blatant code and safety violations that existed that the other contractors did not see. For example, my old A.C. was wired directly into my incoming electrical wiring without going through a breaker. My old water heater and furnace vented directly into my evap cooler air inlet. My existing gas line was not big enough for both a water heater and furnace. And finally, my old A.C. was not big enough for the square footage of the house. They got permits for every phase of the work. Pima County and Southwest Gas inspected and verified all work accomplished with no defects noted. I'm not sure other contractors would have gotten the permits.

Description of Work: They seemed to be the most professional of the other companies who came to offer a quote. One company just came and looked around and offered a quote. Rich came offer, went into the attic to check some stuff. Took measurements of the gate outside, as well as others. He told me, they will most likely need a crane depending on the size of the unit I was purchasing. The he went on his computer and did some calculations to determine the right size of the unit I needed. The other company did none of these. After a few days of thinking about it I decided to go with RiteWay. I am glad I did. They came in, put up sheets, to protect my stuff, and went about their business. The system is working great and seems to be a lot better as of right now. I went through Costco to get in touch with Rite Way.

Rite Way clearly has high expectations for the services they deliver and have engaged educated, articulate professionals in order to maintain high standards of customer service and plumbing quality. I sure am glad Angie's List offered Rite Way's hot water heater service!

Description of Work: I recently purchased 2 HVAC systems from Rite Way and up until the units were paid for and installed I would have rated them A for all criteria. The sales rep was very knowledgeable and made all the measurements to properly size the equipment I needed. He explained and helped me understand the different systems and pick the best options for my needs and budget. Rite Way was not the best price of 4 proposals I received but I chose them because I felt comfortable that they knew what they were doing and I was getting good value. The install went very well and I am happy with the equipment. However after installation I had some concerns and contacted the sales rep by email. Well I never received a response from the rep and finally called him 2 weeks later. I waited the 2 weeks because the rep had indicted that he would contact me after approx. 10 days for a walk through final inspection. Well that never happened until after I called. My concerns were relatively minor. The installers left some debris in my yard from the installation that I had to clean up and they did not install the type of thermostats promised in the contract. The rep did eventually do the inspection, address my concerns and eventually satisfactorily resolved my issues including making good on a rebate I was promised. Like I said I was very happy with all aspects of the purchase until after the installation and it took numerous phone calls to get the issues resolved. This could have been avoided if the rep had immediately communicated with me, responded to and resolved my concerns expeditiously.

Description of Work: Rite Way replaced our old heating/cooling (AC) system with a new Trane system. They came out for a service call but after giving an estimate, I decided to get a new system since the old was over 15 years old. The differences in the various systems was explained so that I could understand prior to making the decision on which system to purchase. The technician went into the attic to find the reason one bedroom wasn't getting the heat/AC it should have and he fixed the problem. All the vent covers were removed and caulking was applied around the vents to reduce the loss of heat/AC. The work areas were cleaned before leaving. The technician was actually able to come a day earlier than scheduled which was a plus. I gave the price an A because although I didn't do any cost comparisons or get any other estimates, I feel I paid a fair price. Overall, it was a good experience and would hire them again.

Description of Work: I had a small leak in my garbage disposal but I told them it could wait until Monday.However, it seem like they were in a hurry to get my business. I just felt the plumber knew what he was doing but the price was elusive and unreasonable. All my friends agreed that $75-100 dollars would have been more reasonable but $184.00 to remove a garbage disposal was to ridiculous. I am a senior looking for good, reliable plumbers but I am also looking for reasonable rates.

Description of Work: This was a switch and bait experience. I scheduled a regular service and had several estimates given to me for so called "problems". When I got another company to give a second opinion I was told the alleged problem was minor and it was fixed for 30.00 not 300.00. There seems to be problems with the employees and management. Stay away from RiteWay!!

Description of Work: I found Rite way through a Costco in store promotion. Costco offers rebate coupons, but I didn't know at the time (prior to the estimate), that I would have to install both an AC unit (compressor) AND a fan blower unit (separate from the AC unit) to qualify for the rebate. I didn't get the rebate, but because the estimator was very professional and helpful, I decided to go with this company. So far, the new AC unit is working fine.
