+ -1 moreI always had the dream of having my first home, you guys ruined that moment. Since the first moment that we came by for info, the sales man was so rude. But that is not the issue, but the house construction. We were told that we will be getting updates every Friday, if we got contacted 3 times in more than 1 year Im exaggerating. Process was so hard, workers that didn’t care and the construction supervisor is a disaster. If you ask him about anything, he said: “I don’t know, I have no idea”. When we got the keys, we found urine residue in the toilet, the lid was YELLOW!!! We found snacks with mold inside the cabinets. Our grout is supposed to be gray, it’s BROWN!!! And is missing in some parts. They never cleaned, and I am still working on getting the dirt from it. Wood is coming out from the showers as they are not completed. Doors on the inside were black with boots marks and I wasn’t able to closed not a single one of them. The tiles are installed very bad, some of them higher than others and not aligned. Master window was supposed to be replaced before we got the keys, they NEVER DID IT. We are missing 2 window screens and they can’t do that either. They were working in the house next to mine, they removed the plants from my side and leave it like that. We had tried to get this things fixed with Bill, the construction supervisor. He don’t answer, and when he saw us around he look to the other way. This home is a disaster and this builder is the worst. They don’t care and they only want to sell and then is your problem. And I am sure that I am missing more issues. If you are on time, GO AWAY. Don’t be the next… 1 star is alot, they don’t deserve it!!

+ -1 moreThe worst house buying experience ever. This experience did not turn out to be the way it should be, a happy and exciting experience. It was and still is stressful, frustrating and disappointing. We bought an existing house before and that only had 1 item that needed to be fixed. Will definitely not buy a house from this builder again. Will make sure the house is in perfect condition on the pre-walk so this doesn't happen again. I don't wish this on anyone.
Description of Work: They built my first new house. However the quality and condition in which the house was delivered was unacceptable. The house had over 20 items which needed to be fixed on the date we got the keys. This included major items such as two leaking toilets, about 20 holes of different sizes on the walls (because the A/C people could not locate some cables so they cut the wall open) and carpet that needs to be replaced on the stairs and the whole upstairs. Most of the items were addressed during the pre-walk and we were promised that they would be fixed by the closing date. However, they were not. We are still trying to get everything on the list fixed almost 3 months later. Their contractors don't even show up some times. Worst of all, Richmond American did nothing to make this situation right.
